  1. Elk. Yea, Lehigh is #1 in the conference. Slalom at MC on Saturday...thank god we're training SL two times this week
  2. But, that day, he was pretty fast.
  3. There is nothing special about his stuff, and nothing that nobody here can't do. http://www.benbirkphoto.com/gallery.html
  4. Good job looking up those terms I was refering to his angulation and form...
  5. D$ definatly has some skills, but like Ski(a photog) he has bills to pay. I agree with Ski. However, even if they weren't offering money, I'd do it (if only I didn't have to race), but they'd be my property, on my site, and they can pay me to use them. Like ski said, swag doesn't pay for thousands of dollars of camear equipment. I've built my portfolio, not doing stuff for free, but shooting friends skiing/cars, etc. But for being the official photog for an event, there better be money involved, dSLR's cost to much to shoot for free. If you're willing to pay, the best photogs on this site are Mtnbike99x, Ski, and Jibophonic (all pro photogs)
  6. lookin good in pic 1
  7. how do you rub on 8-10 grams of it?!
  8. they do do a mid day groom.
  9. Doug doesn't know how to use his edges...he skids his turns
  10. Someone was practicing smartstyle when they edited someone's post
  11. temperatures reached mid 20's today, so I used swix universal warm as my base coat, then crayoned on your T-series that was like 20-28deg and ironed that in. It seemed resonably hard when i scraped it off, so i figured it would've been hard enough for the new snow...should i have gone to a harder wax?
  12. MC has really been slacking this year. I wonder how Skier150 is doing over there
  13. And have 1/10th the edge hold...are they 172cm?
  14. yupp, I don't know how I'm top 10 in days either. I was out for a freakin month and I'm beating mofos like xnick who have no hw.
  15. Winning time was 1:11x and I was 1:18x, a bigger gap then yesterday but the top guys could REALLY take a straight line down the course. Lehigh's fastest guy is from Wisconsin, then the next four fastest guys were New England racers, then me Second run today was the fastest course set, with the top guys running it in 34 seconds, while the first run today was the longest with the top guys running it in the high 36's. It was on the run "The Challenge". Next week is a slalom at MC on the skiers left slope (not the one we ran SL on with ASRA).
  16. Hell yea, there wasn't an ounce of wax left in my structure. I even brushed right before my race run too. The snow was just REALLY sticky, I was just wondering what type would be best for that really sticky fresh blown snow.
  17. Thanks for the report chippy
  18. Aren't you sponsored by Dynastar? What's with the Atomics? If only I had the money right now, I'd love to add an Atomic twintip to the quiver.
  19. Pulled into a bitter cold parking lot at JF, booted up, and met up with the team. After a mad steezy 13th place finish yesterday, and a win for Lehigh, we were up against the same teams from yesterday. Course inspection yielded a more technical (as technical as you can get on that trail) then yesterday, with one turn you really had to be ahead and forward on. Inspected twice, then did some runs with the guys on JF's legendary and EPIC "East Hill". I was able to make about 3 GS turns in total on the run under the East Hill lift, so that got me warmed up for the race . First run you had to be ready for the pitch, so I set up the first gate perfect, got too high, though while not preferred, its better then being too low. But it set me up for a pretty clean run to the finish. Didn't push as hard as I could have after the fact, but it was a pretty clean run. I was in 17th place after the first run. After lunch, went to check the course out again. It was a very similar set to yesterday, though slightly tighter after the headwall, then it was even more open at the bottom. I was pretty quick to the headwall, set up the headwall pretty well (though could have been alot more aggressive, though when its a blind gate, its hard to set it up correctly) and flew down to the finish through the flater section (thanks DrD!). Cut like two seconds off my time for an 18th place finish. Not too bad, I feel I skied much better today, but some of the better guys were there today. I just need to be more aggressive with my line on the headwall. I'm setting it up too well, and not pointing them down the fall line for more speed.
  20. He only reads what he wants to see.
  21. You'd be pissed if they sold out of season passes before you bought yours. They have every right to be pissed.
  22. And with an attitude like that, they don't want to be there, around people like you. Bob, that sucks. Let's see what Mary or Mark has to say about this.
  23. There were no ruts, there were HOLES. J4's dont weigh 180 lbs, and they aren't as good as the top guys college guys.
  24. I had that read that whole site a while ago...definately a good read!
