They are here as well, and no, I have not. Next year I guess.

http://www.paracing.org/mambo/index.php?op...13&Itemid=4 They'll be available there when they post them... BTW, first time racing on your wax today...REALLY nice, but JF has soooo slow blown snow...out of the stuff you sent me, which would be best for that really sticky man made stuff?
-
Um yes. That's all we skied on the PASR day...and I took some "warm up" laps there today...can't really warm up when you only get to make 1.5 turns on GS skis because you're already at the lift

I had some baklava this nomring...NUM NUM NUM

The same can be said with inversions. I like the snow at JFBB, but its so slow. Grippy, but slow. If they had some pitch, it would be fine, but slow snow + no pitch = no fun.

1900 ft at the top of JF, vs 1500 ft at the top of Booter. It's not that big of a difference. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the size. They have a lot of snowmaking (all relative) for such a limited amount of terrain, which means they can focus all their efforts on the whole mountain, constantly. Bigger places like CB and Blue, can't.

I know why! I know why! Could it be because it's so freakin small?
-
No baklava?

JF has the slowest snow in the world. It's grippy, but too slow. A mountain that flat needs fast snow so you can set an offset course, but you pretty much HAVE to set a tuck course on it.

I had a GS at JF today. Conditions weren't ideal for racing. Snow was grippy, but too soft, imo. Some holes formed the second run on a reset course, and caused 10+ people to blow out. It was slightly on the chilly side, but not too bad. Since this was my first race w/ Lehigh, I started pretty much last (5 back from last), which kind of sucks. The top guys are freakin GOOD, so they'll tear the course up, and I was like the 65th guy to run, after 50 girls had skied on it. After Run 1, two guys from Lehigh were in the lead. My run was pretty clean. I set up the "headwall" too much. I could've taken a much more direct line, but at least it was clean and safe. Got slightly late, but the course was pretty rythmic and not that much offset, so I recovered. I ended up in 14th place out of 70 my first run, so I was pleased. The only better position to be in then 14th after the first run, is 15th. Since they reverse the top 15, then go 16+, I was the 2nd guy to run, which meant a rut free / hole free course. I took advantage and cut 2 seconds off my time, though that really wasn't good enough to move up to the top 10. I ended up with a 1:16:xx (forget) for two runs. The winner was at 1:11:xx. I went down 1/2 way to gate keep for the rest of the men, so I got to watch t3h carnage at the bottom of the headwall with a gate in a compression with a hole in the turn, which blew so many people out. After all was said and done, I finished 13th overall. Not bad. We'll see how I do tomorrow. I think it's a SL at MC next week

bumps were PERFECT tonight....I was on my 183's and shredding the gnar with GrilledSteezeSandwich Doug and "Entitlement" Ben. They were so good we did them 4 times, which is a rarity. PERFECT.

It wasn't too bad.

As long as it's not my shoulder BTW...something interesting... http://www.nastar.com/index.jsp?year=2007&...amp;agegroup=38 hehehe...but then again, to quote the 'dude on the phone tonight "It's only NASTAR, Rob"
-
His lady friend and I are in agreement, buy 'dude a car! I didn't get to see his first run, but we chatted while the girls were running, and he said 12th the first run (he said he got REALLY late at the bottom of the headwall). His second run, according to the girl that was molesting him, wasn't as clean as the first. He always looks so slow cause he's so freakin huge I saw him take that gate out. It was on the flat before the 2nd headwall, and I saw it from all the way on the first headwall....I said "ouch" to myself, cause I knew that HAD to hurt. He skied the middle section cleanly, and pretty fast obviously. Go 'dude!

Just got off the phone w/ 'dude...I know he was around 12th place after the first run, but he's pretty sure he finished top 15 today

Sweet 'kitten. I concur with Timeless, next time you goto Vermont, ski Okemo! I think you'd really love it. The "blacks" there are so easy. Okemo might have 1 short little stretch of trail that's as steep as anything at Blue. There are alot of natural rollers which are fun as hell. My favorite trail there is Upper/Lower World cup. Long as black (I think?) that you can just RIP on, super wide.

this weekend...sat and sunday

hehe, I was back on the 11's because training last week for school was NOT a 24m course, so I decided to ski those mofos, and they stink. No grip, too soft. I made way too many mistakes. I think for the first time, Blue's pacesettesrs handicaps are accurate.

lucky me, I get to hear them all for the first time ont he lift
-
haha, i thought i got bronze....crappy skiing, on my weak as GS:11s (BTW, get OFF those things...they feel like noodlez compared to the 12s), and wearing my jacket....still got gold
-
Justin, they were starting to get really good, but, I'd rather see them keep them for a few days and let them get good, and then knock them down before they get bad, and let them form again, and keep the cycle going. Though, I'm never complaining with a flat main street BTW, WHY would you goto Camelback just for a green bump run? That's really funny.
-
Thank you. If Blue did the same thing, I'd bitch like hell too. The thing is, Blue, and every other mountain in the poconos doesn't do stupid stuff like that.

So I returned the spaceframes and bought something else
