ski999 and i drove up together last year, and met skimom and skidude up there, twas a fun day...though if they;re open the 11th, ill be there again...i figured thatll be the first day im skiing this year, though we may have to travel to vt if bell isnt open

Yes, I can read, more then can be said about you. Nothing that I have said in this thread is incorrect.
-
Who ever said they check it every race? Even Ski999 said it isn't established every race. I really don't know what you're arguing about? Ski999 and I both know what the cap time is for, that's why it was established. It keeps the courses semi-offest at least (no time can be within 5% of the cap time). Yes 5% is very small, but at least it's there. As for the race stock stickers, I have other pairs of race stock Atomics, so I know where the stickers are. But clearly, they aren't there on the new ones. The flexes are written on the ski, rather then on the sticker now. Since you seem to be so knowledgeable about NASTAR, care to join us one evening, introduce yourself, I'd like to meet you

Boots should be snug and supportive, and there should be no movement inside the boot, period. But you bring up a point that I was going to make. Alot of FS skiers still are in near race boots. I know Justo for example is in a pretty stiff Lange.
-
Yes, I'm sure a "sloppy" boot would be just great so that their toes slide forward and hit the toebox, which is always a great feeling. I'm sure the lack of suport is great for landing at all the weird angles they do. Support from the boots is how you prevent injury. You ask any of the older freestylers on here, who buy their own gear and make their own decisions. Support != discomfort. Support != race. The whole point of having a hard shell boot is FOR support, and support DOES equal control. You try to ski with a sloppy boot. It simply does not work. And I'm pretty sure park rats need control, too, not just racers. Large toe box? Two buckles? Freedom of movement in the toe box? In the TOP OF THE BOOT? That's everything you DON'T want in a boot. Rob, you DO know boots aren't supposed to be loose?

those pics are great! -
Rob, you're calling me a n00b for saying that boots with two buckles are ftl. I can't wait for THIS explanation. Maybe you can get all the 5 year olds to back you up, I heard they like the 2 buckle design
-
50 people? jeez. Hope you don't have to ski with them Have fun!
-
I had originally typed a long reply, but... Why can't we all be friends?
-
If they did get the "first char" im sure they sat on one in the parking lot....
-
Just like ski said, http://www.nastar.com/index.jsp?pagename=rules#course Maybe you should stop hiding, and get informed
-
to my surprise, the ARD stickers arent there, i dont know if that's something new, or the shop i bought them from took them off. this flex #s are written on the ski now, probably cause you couldnt see them before w/ the bindings on the gs's are 48/38 and the sl's are 37/25
-
Nothing that I can't handle.
-
i couldnt wait to get home to rip that box open... they got here yesterday afternoon and i didnt have a chance to get home last night so I had to wait
-
I just got home, I threw down my stuff and ripped the box open, and there they were.... 2007 GS:12 183cm @ 24m 2007 SL:12 165cm @ 12.2m they're freakin sicckkk
-
BC can't because the start shack doesn't have a view of the whole course. Blue actually has a guy standing 1/2 way down w/ a headset.
-
sounds awesome trevor
-
They take them off at Camelback everynight? That seems like a waste of time. Blue doesn't have storage tracks like camelback does, so they never take them off.
-
sounds like a good deal mike you're still getting a season pass right?
-
that's insane....2 hours to install all the towers and all the cross members.
-
clearly there are no towers near the base area. they started at the top, anyway.
