  1. People were throwing inverted tricks down on Sunday during the pond skimming, and ski patrol was right there....I found it rather interesting. As for inverted tricks, if you want to do them, you can as is, but those fence sitters are less likely to try it, which is a good thing. All we need is a hack trying to do a backflip.
  2. Certain induviduals at blue do read this board
  3. Atomic's actually adjust at 1mm invervals using a micro adjustment screw in the back, when it's flush with the housing, it's at the correct adjustment, but 2mm isn't a big difference. Any more then 3mm and it starts getting a bit snug.
  4. And threads like this make it all better...
  5. I'm sure you do....was that the same day you beat an M3 in 'grams cruiser?

    Base Cleaning

No the continous waxings saturate your bases to a point where they are as fast as they will get. In the beginning, my skis sucked up the wax, because they were new. After awhile, they really don't absorb that much wax on a day to day basis, that's what multiple waxings get you. You can tell, especially on a flat section, where I just pull away from Doug, even at super slow speeds. Though intially, you want to brush alot to break up the structure. The key to fast bases is brushing and waxing. Repeat about 20 times, and you'll start to have faster skis

    Base Cleaning

Warm wax penetrates the base deeper, and more easilly, therefor provides a slightly better cleaning action.....
  8. well i videotaped all of that, but no, i put all the stuff that i taped onto that vid...i didnt tape for too long
  9. I thought that was you...haha, you got pWnt!
  10. If you listen closely, you can hear Doug yellong "ohh nnooo" right before going now

    Base Cleaning

Iron in some warm weather wax, and as soon as your done, scrape it off, it literally "pulls" the dirt right outta the base...
  12. No, I did it on my laptop, so all you're getting is quicktime
  13. Here you go, threw it together really quickly... Download here (RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS) Appearances by Me, Doug, Justo, Ski999, and maybe I catch freeriden tre rakin a lip or two...
  14. Sidewinder only, Gotta give some place for people to progress to want to spend the time/money to get access to the Big park...
  15. I was standing right near them when they did it, they had no way of knowing you were coming next, they didnt even have a view of the start, but the tuber and the duck was stupid.
  16. I need all new stuff, especially a more precise sharpening tool (using a crappy swix tuner)...my brass brush is dead, I'll definatly buy from you, support a PA'er, and I believe I've used some of your flouro from Ski999, and the skis were almost too slippery, if there is such a thing
  17. And my boot is 2mm too big for your bindings I thought that after I got up, "dam, thank god those things released, that would've REALLY hurt"
  18. Is the stuff of yours that I've used, Dr. D's?
  19. I can't tell you how many school group kids I hear saying "I love to go through the park, it's so cool". The best was the two little kids saying all they do is ride down the stairs. And you're right about the curiosity factory. It's going to get bad next year with the 6pack going right over the park. I think park passes are a semi-good idea, but all the noobz will then want to try out Razors because they can't go in the park
  20. Mark Miller said I could ski till my hair is on fire anywhere but Paradise and Burma, but tell that to the family standing JUST below the headwall on falls, out of sight to a skier coming down Challenge, when switch and i almost both collide with them, because they're spread out through the whole trail where we can't see them. I know, I know, it's my fault, and I understand that, but they also have to understand they don't belong on there, if they have to traverse back and forth just to get down. The same can be said in the park, and most parks aren't even that steep. I don't hit anything in the park, but I know when to get out of the way, I know where not to stand. Some people are just not that bright.
  21. Well, Greek Peak has a form of black diamond passes....here's ski4food's post on it...

    Public Enemy

Width has ALOT to do with how a ski skis on hardpack. Narrower, the better, to an extent. My GS:11s are 66mm's in the waist. When I get on my friends Rossi Scratch BC's on groomers at Alta, they're complete dogs, I always say to myself "get me off these things!". For the east, the max you'd want to go is 75mm, and honestly, if you're spending 90% of your time ripping turns, where it only snows 30 inches a year, you're better off getting a pair of race skis, as 90% of the days are hardpack/slick. Demo the Metrons...76mm wasit, 12m in a 172cm, which is insane. You've got a slalom turn radius, with the stiffness/stability of a GS ski, with enough surface area to float in powder (133/76/116mm)
  24. Stevo, couldn't the same be said about park passes? Anyway, I think the intitial peak over the edge of Razors is enough to scare 99% of the nubs away (I love seeing them walk back to paradise)....But the other 1% I use as GS gates. I honestly dont think there is a need for black diamond passes, as long as everyone is skiing it, and not stopping in the middle. Though I do like what Greek Peak has done with school groups....Blue should implement that system. Sure, I'd love to see Razors edge be free of nubz, but there will always be idiots on Razors. I just wish people would recognize their ability before trying something way beyond their ability. They go down Main Street, which they find easy, and then they think they can fly down Challenge. Gotta love the power wedge.
