I'm already back from blue...it got tracked out in about am hour....
-
Me and my RWD car made it up to blue in 40 minutes today, no problem, at all! The roads were great.
-
Well, freeridintre just HAD to spoil it for me, Bode came in 5th, and Rahlves in 10th....
-
I hit the 65 footer...it was maddddd steezy
-
the racing would suck anyway in fresh snow, but I'll probably wear my suit no matter what, just in case
-
I was worried I'd need to bust out the Audi for Sunday morning, but the bimm can handle up to 8....Though I'm hoping the race gets canceled, cause I don't feel like racing w/ freshies everywhere

Rub on stuff with last for about 500 feet. Hot wax? Maybe the whole trail. But it's the repeated waxings that make skis fast. I have 40+ waxings on my GS:11s, and they barely absorb any more wax

"Oh, I was just staring off into space" Quote of the night from Doug

tonight was garden state's chance to beat you...where was he?

I got there around 5, and met thinksnow at the bottom, and we took a few runs together, then we saw Ski999 in the lift line, so we skied with him until it was time for NASTAR. Doug was already at the top of the course, high on his redbull. Racing tonight featured everyone from AtomicJeff, to Doug, to Ski999, mtbike mike, thinksnow, our racing friend glenn, and some ASRA racers that I was talking to. The course was certainly slick! It was good practice for the ASRA's this weekend...I only did 11k vertical, but eh, it was race night, and we had alot of fun, as always... Fastest Times: AtomicSkier - 23.37 Ski999 - 24.70 Glenn - 26.70 Thinksnow - 27.45 Doug - 28.70 Mtbike - 31.92 Great job everyone, it was a really tough course.....Funny how my fastest run was AGAIN my first run... I was the third fastest racer tonight, i really never felt "on" tonight...

me, mtbike, thinksnow, maybe ski999, doug...

World cup slalom racers, before the new FIS rules were on 155cm slalom skis. Ski999 skis on 157cm slalom skis, I'm on 160cm's, and skidude is on 165's as per USSA regulations. Something with that sidecut is to be enjoyed in a shorter length. I can go just as fast on the 160's as I can on my 170's....

I put my new suit on tonight, but then I couldn't get it off! And there was noone around to help me! I thought I was traped in my suit But don't worry, I got out, eventually And I must say, I look alot better in it then i thought...
-
But yet you could buy the new poles, the hand guards, the suit, etc...Or is that the reason, because you bought all that stuff?
-
Besides sidewinder, there all trails that no one cares about. Blow on Challenge, Switchback and Raceway, PLEASE!
-
Well, it looks as if the ASRA will be on RACEWAY at Blue, which really stinks. I didn't get an email back from the Foy's yet, but I see on the blue mt's race team website that they have super-g training on razors edge on Sunday, the 12th, and that can only mean razors edge for them...
-
Oh yea, while I was there, I was going to the top of challenge, when about 6 tools ahead of me deciding they were on the race team, and went screaming down Razors Edge, hitting gates with their poles, with the race coaches screaming at them, so I flew down Challenge and got ahead of them, and they got in line in the quad, I waited off to the side where the ski patrol get in line, and when I saw one, I went up and talked to the guy, and he skied over and took care of them That's when I met up w/ a girl from the team that I know, since she was chasing after the idiots. Idiots. If I can't ski Razors, they shouldnt be able to either.
-
they had that fan gun going at the top of home stretch from when i was there, but my 2nd last run, they had the guns cranking on sidewinder, and the snow storage area to the left of the quad
-
Where was Doug tonight? I got there earlier then usual, opened up the day with three AMAZING runs down Razors, I've never seen that trail in better condition, sooo grippy! Then the race team closed it off, but I met up with some friends of mine that are on the team, so we skied around for a little bit, and then I left at 5:50, and had 14 runs. Crowds were definatly present tonight, but we were using the race/instructor line, so it was moving fast Hopefully they'll blow on Raceway tonight, so it'll be grippy for tomorrow
-
they really haven't blown on too much, seems like the same trails everynight, and i'm sorta bitter about that...i want to see them blow on at least Challenge for one night, so the race team doesn't get the only good trail on the mountain every night...

What does the suspension netting do over standard netting? But, that looks really cool, I'm sure Doug would love to run that!
-
Ben, a SP at CB is pretty sick on his tele's, a good friend of Dennis's, always fun to watch him fly down asp, backwards on tele's.
-
I could probably do the Sunday after the 12th...
-
Yes, that would be Dennis, one kickass ski patrol at Camelback! He can reveal himself if he so chooses
