Ski, that's exactly what I told him. I keep mine 8-10, and they don't pop off EVER while I'm ripping hard turns, and I can put alot of pressure on a binding. However, I was going about 10mph one time at Blue, tried to kick avoid a snowboarder, i looked down and I was missing my ski. I had to have hit a rut and just lost it without feeling it. It is the binding doing its job. At 200lbs, a binding at 6.5 won't even pre-release. For your own safety, keep it around 8.

Who is she, and what has she done with our 'mom?

I was a foot or two from making it to the landing on that 45 foot table top
-
I've got the ASRA Dual GS at Blue on 1/22. I'm going to be skiing at Alta on 1/21, flying home that night to race the next morning, so I won't get to see the 'dude race

Skidude is SOOO fast

Thinksnow is a UPS employee, so UPS FedEX does suck, I ordered a huge "map" of Nappa Valley for my parents, with all the wineries on it. It was really nice. Ordered it from cali, all framed in a matching frame with an enscribed plaque. Fedex drops it off, wouldn't you know that beautiful christmas present was shattered (the glass). It really made my day.

It was wet. Conditions were really good for it being 40+ all night with rain. We were skiing untouch courdoruy well past 10. When I pulled into the lot at 7:20, there were only about 7 other cars in the lot, and I was out onto the snow just past 7:30, and I still think I got the first chair up (didnt see anyone ahead of me). We did alot of terrain park today, with us both throwing down our steezy style We both came within feet of clearing the 40'+ table, but we wanted to do our last run down Razors, so we didnt get another attempt to get to the landing. It needs to get cold, and quick!

I left at 11:15, and that was about as long as I could wait, even though at that point, the far left quad lines were 4 groups deep.
-
Conditions at Blue were very nice, once again. I was still ripping GS arcs as hard as I could today at 11:15 on Challenge, just nice hardpack. Definatly no slush, what so ever. Was CB getting sun this morning?
-
There is YOU'RE getting to the landing on the 45 footer, no way. Anyway...It's hard for the park crew to work with granular snow, since it doesn't pack. It doesn't stick together, it's sugar. Whereas when it's blown snow, they can really work on lips and keep them nice, but granular just gets pushed out of the way. Not alot can be done until they blow again.

My shoes definatly wear on the inside edge, especially my golf shoes. They tilt in at such an angle

Kragan, thanks for the compliments, I just try to keep it mad steezy yo. As for the park rat stuff, I wouldn't mind getting a wide twintip, for a spring ski/rock ski. I do enjoy the park, as evidence from my steezy style. But I'll always be at home on the race course...I was going to do NASTAR tonight at BC, but I decided against it, as it will be uber-rutty from the warmness today. Thinksnow and I are skiing tomorrow in the rain I believe

Yea, I actually wanted Justin to make them (help him out $$$ wise), but he said only full-timers do that. I think settleing for the owner is acceptable. As for my ski, when I'm on flat ground, my ski used to rest on the inside edge (mostly because I walk on the inside of my feet, big time.) As of now, it's much better. The pain was from my left ankle bone being pressed extremely hard into the side of my boot (inside of the left boot). WHen i told justin this, he immediatly said he had the same problem, and its because i walk on the inside of my feet. Footbeds made a world of a difference in the pain department, and in the overall better fitment of my boots.

I was the THIRD chair up today, I was rather dissappointed. Did a total of 18 runs today w/ my friends. It was my first day on my amazing footbeds. It was soo much more comfortable with them in, no more left ankle digging into the site of my boot. Conditions were nice and firm, and stayed firm on Challenge especially, up till 11:15 when I left. Razors and the rest of the mountain was getting a bit granular, but Challenge was still very nice for ripping. I've been getting more confidence in the terrain park, as I made Justo8484 watch my mad steezy air off the first hit in Sidewinder (it was the most I've ever gotten on it), and to myself, I flew pretty dam far. I think Forumdestroyer was watching too It goes to show how much friends slow you down. I did 16 runs by 10:15 yesterday, but today it was 18 by 11:15....It's gunna be a granular mess tonight for Doug

It was $150 + Tax. Yours were $30 cheaper, I'm not going to drive up to the Loft, for instance, just to save that $$$. Pete Nestor did my footbeds himself, and they felt soo nice today (the support was unbelivable). I even commented to Justo8484 (the beds were his recomendation) how great they were working. My left ankle pressure was virtually elimnated.
-
I saw you and Justin on your run down Razors (I was on the lift) though I think I saw Justin on the lift when I was going down Razors a few minutes later...
-
My last three runs the crowd control guy was out, but lines were minimal, however the lodge was PACKED. Footbeds? $159 out the door.
-
Arrived at 7:15am, was the first one to be scanned, the first one on the lift, and the first one down Razors. Did 7 runs in exactly one hour, did 13 in exactly two hours, ended up with 16 runs (17296 vertical feet). I was on my GS:11s today, and after about 13 runs my legs were feeling it (was making alot of turns today since Doug wasn't around) and plus I did 36k vert yesterday, so today was an easy day. Conditions were fabulous! I was ripping turns down Razors, until they closed it for the race team, then I did a lot of laps on Challenge, did a run on Mainstreet, and about three park runs, which, I must confess, I got mad air off the first hit in Sidewinder (Justo8484 may have witnessed it if he was watching). But the first hit in Sidewinder, and the first hit down below are the only two jumps I'll hit (besides the last one on lower sidewinder). But for skiing by myself, I had a fun day, don't know how conditions will be later, could be sketchy. On another note, I picked up my custom footbeds at Nestors today. The support is unbelievable! I can't wait to ski on the things, they made my foot feel like it was wrapped in velvet I could feel already my left ankle bone not being pressed into my boot, and I wasn't walking on the inside of my boots anymore.
-
I was there, did a quick 17k vertical, went to Nestors to pick up my custom footbeds, which are amazing, btw, and I'm back home...
-
Tomorrow is iffy for me actually, though if I am there, it'll be at 7:15....And later in the week is iffy too, had a family member die (great uncle) but uh, I told my dad it better not interfere with my skiing.

VTMark, there is no need for any complaining about ski999/papasteeze in this thread, it's remaining rather civilized while good information is being exchanged. Someone has said it before, but... Gates magnifiy mistakes. You've got to correct the mistakes before you start getting into gates.
-
Exactly. First you learn to ski forward, then you run the gates forward. Being in the backseat really comes out on the race course.
-
Ski999 and I are big fans of Bromley, I love it there.... I just tuned my GS:9s for tomorrow, I'm prepared for some rocks to be surfacing, and for it to be soft. No need for the GS:11s to be out tomorrow, it'll just ruin the uber-amazing tune job I did on them the past two days
