You should be more happy about Razors Edge opening! Then you can really push your GS:11s to the max...

Yup! There are two of them this year, the first one in late January. You need to do some NASTAR first, cause the ASRA course at Blue is a little tougher then NASTAR

Can't wait for the TWO dual GS's at Blue this year, hopefully it doesn't get powder-ed out like it did last year

Challenge was being fully groomed out while I was there, so that's a go for tomorrow. They were still blowing on Sidewinder park, but it had insane amounts of snow on it. Switchback also has insane amounts of snow (looks as if it could be open tomorrow, if groomed). Xing and Chute also had tons of snow (will be open tomorrow if they groom it). I didn't ride the double so I didn't get a chance to see Come Around, but they are blowing/done blowing on all the remaining trails. Razors Edge is progressing along nicely. They have enough snow right now to open 1/2 the trail, but I assume they'll try to pump out as much as possible, since Challenge will already be open!

Friday might be my first day off all season so far, we'll have to see if anything new opens tomorrow or not (looks as if challenge is)...but my legs are dying for a day off....

Of course you do I really enjoyed skiing there last year, conditions were amazing, well worth the hour drive for me!

Im 19 miles from my front door to Blue (I've done it in 17 minutes before). On a weekday around 3pm it takes about 30 minutes, Saturday/Sunday morning is around 20 minutes. On my way to pick up Ski999 to goto Belleayre, I made it from my front door to the Tannersville Exit (Camelback) in 31 minutes.

I almost died when I read that....But it would be even funnier if... A hunter local, a waist steering guy, rob, and ski999 walk into a bar....

you need to stop calling me atomic, just because i call you by your username, doesn't mean you have to call me atomic the name is jeff and i've offered the guest suite to greg, only problem is that he doesn't get home from work until midnight, then he'd have to drive up here....doesn't work out so great.

I prefer to tip my GS:11s over on a high edge and just arc two big turns down it and let it fly...nothing is more exhilerating then loading up a GS:11 and letting it release! I can't wait to it on razors edge, where the two headwalls are even longer

Most people would've turned around where I got stuck going up a steel hill, 3 people in front of me turned around (all three front wheel drive) but no I busted out the shovel and made myself some tracks, and I charged on! I wasn't going to let a steep hill and snow stop me from skiing untracked pow...

If they don't have Burma opened tomorrow, they'll open Paradise and Burma together on Sunday They're really opening the mountain quickly, and the snowmaking temps are only getting better!!!

I may be only making it to BC a few times this year, especially now that blue has NASTAR, but I'll definatly be there for PASR days...

but with a parent that skis, i was skiing 35+ w/o a parent that was skiing w/ me.
