anyone in pa would be on crack to drive up to NY to go skiing, when there is more snow at Blue mountain w/ great conditions...no bare spots here!

Blue was fun! Skiied with Ski999, Doug, Dthmtluncrn, Gurp, Nitro, insomniac, and I saw forumdestroyer and justo8484....woot woot! Was granular, but hey, I don't see any other mountains around being open!

Blue ALWAYS blows WAY more then necessary on Main Street incase of a thaw, they blow so much, they rarely ever need to blow more on that trail throughout the year. They have enough snow as is to open it, but less snow is lost in rain when it's in piles so they'll be waiting it out.

on a sidenote, my 900G of Swix Universal warm wax arrived today! I was completely out of wax. Came to $37 shipped. Now I need to get some cold universal. I use it for everyday waxings (literally). But for race day, I do the same as Ski, throw on a LF#, and then seek Ski999 out, and have him put some fluro on my bases

Early morning skiing at Blue doing laps on razors edge yield a 4.5 minute lift ride up, with a 2 minute trip back to the lift from the top. Yea rob does need to cut the smoking out of the run

I could do without the bumps. They doesn't look like any fun to rip turns on... But snow is snow, we had a great day at Belleayre today, the snow was firm, and it was smooth, great for trying out my new GS:11s

Skidude, Skimom, Ski999 and I met up for some pre-PA season skiing. We could have not asked for a more perfect day. The sky was clear, the snow was pretty firm, and the temperature was PERFECT. Anyway, enjoy.... Skidude ripping it up... Skidude again, in what looks to be, the backseat Me... The trail we were skiing on, with me wizzing by... Skimom & Ski999... "The Troublemakers" as Skimom calls us... And no, Ski999 isn't that short, he was just downhill of us....cause Skidude is taller then I am... BTW, everyone ask, "Where was Thinksnow?"

How are the roads like from your house to Bell? Speed limit 45? Twisty? Straight?

talk to '999. We're taking some crazy way from his house, but he's alot farther north then you, but he's just north of 84. I think there is a more direct route.
