    Stone grind

they're concave, cause when you pressure them, it bends back to flat. Because the torque one puts on a flat race ski, will cause it to be concave. So atomic makes their bases convex, so when they're pressured, they become flat but like skimom said, after a stone grind, there is countless days of waxing and brushing, to get them running fast again

    Stone grind

I had mine stoneground before this season. I dunno if it was just the way the edge was, but it seemed like a little too much was ground away on one part of the ski, so I dunno, if your bases are flat, don't get it ground.
  4. http://www.weather.com/activities/other/ot...?locid=USNY0659 thats for belleayre
  5. uh, the weather won't be too differnet up there, according to weather.com. May not be a good weekend to go skiing
  6. nah...that'd be Greg, he's the responsible, mature one
  7. jeez how old did you think i was? How else could i drive BMW's. Absoloutly no freakin way I could afford one on my own. I'm broke. Ski999 had to pay for my food @ Tanglwood cause I was so broke
  8. what do you think? school
  9. uhh, according to your equations however, he will ALWAYS fly 200 feet straight out at 80mph. That won't change. How far he DROPS, will, which relates to the angle of the slope. But that one leg of the triangle will always be 200 feet.
  10. my parents did. didn't you member that long AIM convo we had, where you thought i was adam then you realized i wasn't adam when i said my parents were out at big sky. i was going to go, but my schedule said otherwise
  11. yea glenn, never said anything about bell/windham guess what? you just pwned yourself
  12. super-G has maybe a small little jump, at most. It's DOWNHILL that has the huge jumps.
  13. Never been to either. Ski999 likes Belleayre, as that seems to be his pre/post season destination.
  14. Belleayre and Windham are pretty close to each other, and they are probably the cloest to PA.
  15. 80+ mph off a drop off, they are flying well over 200 feet. Hitting a jump at 50 is probably scarier, but lauching straight out is just plain exhilerating. I love flying down Challenge @ Blue, tuck, and then just fly over falls as far as i can, dropping the hands behind the boots like a D$ and Bode do
  16. My rock skis will be my GS:9s....'999 uses his 177cm Rossi 9x's
  17. i've been trying and trying. Mark said he's submitted them to NASTAR (because of computer problems) and it's on NASTAR's shoulders now, so email them, as i keep doing, to keep the pressure on

    4frnt skis?

92mm? Jeez, how do you ski in PA? My Atomic's have a 62mm waist. I skiied on Gurp's Fujatives, which have a 80mm waist, and that was just excessive for around here. I assume a wider waist = more stability when landing?
  19. Good luck dude, maybe you can beat Schlopy or Ligety
  20. Thanks '999, I was waiting for your rebuttle. All I have to say that for an average joe, it's a 30+ second course. For 'dude? Maybe high 27's low 28's (on the day we ran it there), based on how I do compared to him at BC.
  21. AtomicSkier

    all 33

He was at Camelback because of vouchers from someone's mom
  22. AtomicSkier

    When?

Skimom, you could hike w/ Ski999. I may have to resort to that eventaully. There is always grass skiing.
  23. I got hung up by some noobies several times on Cliffy, and some of the front four. And yea, there were liftlines, which was amazing, hell, I parked in the last row of the bottom lot (against the woods). Conditions were decent, probably really nice in the morning
  24. yupp btw, just wanted to mention, in the team competition, Camelback placed 10th!
  25. haha, too much snow
