hey now! Actually, I was talking to the girl I ran over last year, today. Haha, I'm good friends with her brother, and I saw her and her mom in the lodge, so I stopped to talk. Dam little girls... Skidude, I was going to go today, and Ski999 said it was a 50/50 chance you'd be there. I wasn't going to annouce I was going to do it because I just wanted to show up, race, and not draw any attention from skimom, who I'm sure would rub it in when she beat me. I was only going to reveal myself if I magically beat her But as a racing n00b, GS would definatly be my first event. There were 2 pairs of 176cm GS:11 sitting on the "free demo racks" outside the lodge at blue....tempting me

In retrospect, the snow was pretty firm at Blue, I wish I would have come... Next weekend, at Tanglwood, it says TBA for both days..will one day be GS and the other SL?

i don't get whats so bad about the dentish, you go there, sit in the comfy chair, and someone cleans your teeth, and you talk about golf w/ the dentist. sure beats brushing them yourself
-
haha yea, i always think ski patrol is whistling me over...Leedom helmets seem to do that, i wonder if racerchick experiences the same thing.... but i've never seen them drive up switchback...the trails they usually drive on are lazy mile and paradise, because they are very visible on those trails....
-
haha sounds like me....I ate it on wednesday when I was skiing by myself. I ate it BIG TIME, going down chute, nonetheless. Thank god for a helmet, and it was going down the chute too, but I wasn't doing Mach 10, dam mashed potatos grab your skis

I love trails like X-ing though. I was skiing untouched courdory throughout the day. I mean, there had to be 2 other tracks the whole time. I love courdory!
-
most jackets at nestors come w/ a free blue mtn ticket
-
the trail is going to start right between razors and paradise, and will feed back into the bottom of paradise, it looks like
-
i left blue around 12:30 today, and my longest liftline was under a minute Probably about 30 seconds
-
The raceteam at blue flys down any trail they want, as fast as they want to. And I'm pretty sure the policy at blue is as long as you are in control, you can ski as fast as you want, on all trails but the slow skiing ones. Anyway, it appears as if they're cutting another trail also, EAST of paradise (skiers right), and addition to the one underneath the lift, it appears as if there are two that extend from that, if you look below the path...so perhaps 33 trails for next year? hmmm...1 more and they have the most trails, and the most vertical in PA

i'll be there w/ a friend tomorrow the same timeframe you'll be there, you can see what i wear in my profile

I wish i could've joined you, but i really couldn't ditch the appointment....

Nope, and the C-Rail hasn't made its appearence yet. They have another rail resting against some trees that they haven't put up yet, so we'll see....
-
On Sunday mornings, they get Razors Edge for hours. On saturday and sunday, and all of this week, they get Raceway for the whole day pretty much (I still haven't taken a run down it this year). They all sport the same "blue mountain race team" jacket and or sweatshirt. They do get in the way sometimes, but frankly I like it when they have their own trails, cause they won't be hogging the 28 other trails.
-
i'll be sneaky
-
it's one big mountain
-
There's no question that they don't. I'd just wish they'd show their face, privately or publicly.
-

Thanks for the very helpful comments. I'm sure your positive contribution will be considered by all. #1, it's summer, and it's expensive, of course there will be more fortunate kids there. That was a very nice first post btw, Welcome!
