    Yea...that too. They were training tonight on Challenge, too. 8pm on a Thursday night? Fine. 8am on a Saturday? Not fine, unless you like 6 of the best skiers on the mountain barreling down on you.

    I'll start with the positive. The conditions were very close to my favorite. Rock solid. Paradise was the ROTD for me. Super fast and scraped off. What am I'm really annoyed about? That Blue has now either closed or put stupid shit on most of the good runs. Razors? Closed for all 6 people in the Thursday night race clinic. Dreamweaver? Holy shit I came cranking down Nightmare only to be shocked by the roller coaster berms on Dreamweaver. Unskiiable. Challenge? Less than half width due to Bumps. Nightmare? Half width with bumps. WTF Blue. That leaves Sidewinder, Main Street (which....has bumps) and Switchback. I was kinda hoping I got stopped on Paradise because I was going to unleash on someone.

    I'm just getting caught up on this thread, but I have to address these two points. Intermediates shouldn't care about bevels at tuning shops. It doesn't matter when you're not railing turns, and you're probably asking for the wrong bevel. There is nothing wrong with a base grind straight from the factory. I've done it. Most skis are not flat from the factory, and factory structure generally sucks.

    9:28am on main st....today was the most untracked on trail I’ve ever skied at Blue.

    Wasn't too bad today. Still sucks that NMDW was closed both days. Main Street was the ROTD for sure. Day 40 for GSS and me.

    I was kicking myself for skiing my 98mm underfoot Kastles on a surprise pow day in JH. Amazing how much rocker makes a difference.

    Today's avy forecast was so wrong. It said 5" last 24, and 4" overnight. It snowed 6" or so during the ski day yesterday. It was fucking deep. Some super light cowboy powder to make it real nice.

    Sounds like two fractured vertebrae was the only damage. All things considered given the severity of the impact...good news.

    Glenn went in to see him. Apparently he doesn’t have any pain (may also be the drugs). Some stitches, but so far no bad news.

    Mike heard/saw it happen. The doc said he’s hurt, but not seriously hurt. MRI and X-rays upcoming.

    Skied a very good Tower 3 chute today. For all of those that think NMSKI skis out of control after seeing his Taos vids...think again. He crushed it down Tower 3 chute today.
