  1. This was 6 years ago to the day...a few nice inches off of Grand on the way down to the sublette chair.
  2. I don't think that's accurate...
  3. 16" last 24, 10" overnight. A real humdinger.
  4. JohnnyLaw has pretty good knowledge of the daks
  5. Skiers far right is Tower 3 chute. I skied it with a cracked out guy from Stevens Pass that wanted a tour. GSS left me alone with this nut job while he went in to get something to drink.
  6. You're going to want 170cm RTMs to ski Tower 3 Chute, or Mushroom chutes. Let me know how your skinny skis do! Notice all the rocks.
  7. Ski you this weekend!
  8. He leaves for Chamonix this weekend. And seriously Eaf...200" of snow ain't shit. 300" is enough to provide decent coverage at JH, usually around a 65-70" base. Problem is, there are 66" rocks.
  9. Such a beautiful view of Rendezvous Bowl in the foreground(ish) and Cody in the background. 2 weeks from today!
  10. 6" more last 24. 10-14" next 24. This is the storm cycle that opens up the lower faces / hobacks.
  11. His dad wasn't the company's founder, either. But, what does it matter? It's easier to run a business into the ground than keep it profitable and constantly growing. There is no need to hate on family members who take over family businesses.
  12. Could be the humdinger we need to get the Hobacks and lower faces open. Another 12" should do it.
  13. I love the herb tourons at JH talking about the back bowls at Vail. GTFO. They're the same people we see struggling down Rendezvous trail in 6" of snow.
  14. To the tune of Doug's favorite song...
  15. NMDW was 10/10 today. That first run on Challenge was really freakin sweet, too.
  16. I had 1F when I pulled in. But, conditions weren't the titty sparkles they've been the past week. Hopefully it was just the slower skiing due to the high winds making me say that. Tomorrow AM could be really good.
  17. I haven't either. I've only flown business class on a 777
  18. I've flown way too many miles on an E145. The only good seats are exit row, everything else is too tight. I've banged my head the exit signs on the ceiling enough times that I don't remember how many times anymore. The E170,175,190s are the best regional (and mainline) narrow body planes flown, IMO. Full size overhead bins, 2x2 seating in Y, 1x2 in F, and a cabin designed to prevent airlines from jamming too many seats in a row. Ever fly a 10 abreast 777? Airline equivalent of hell.
  19. This is always a good one. Sublette is generally the windiest chair on the hill, especially when you see the "no singles" sign up. This is next level.
  20. CB is famous for wind closures. Blue, not so much. HSDLs are good for 60mph+ crosswinds. Fixed grips? Decide for yourself:
  21. What does rebound energy have to do with width? Nothing. Who cares how wide skis are? Nobody says narrow skis suck, we're just defending our choice to ski wider skis. I've been there, done that, with GS and SL skis at Blue. Wider skis work in way more conditions, without any sacrifice. Just my opinion.
