RTMs are intermediate skis. I think I'll be there tonight...how does one spot an eaf?

Cool video. The one shot of the winch cat on the steep trail at night is Laramie Bowl. Definitely an 80mph groomer.

I am going to pick up a 2nd pair of them at some point and stash them away for a later date.

I much prefer arching GS turns down Razors, Main Street, and NightWeaver. But, I have to keep my short turn game on point so I can crush gates when BC SL Nastar starts up.

I was 6 up top and 5 down below. I wasn’t cold.

I had -6F when I pulled in. Closer to 0F at the top of the mountain if I remember correctly. There was no wind today which made it quite palatable. I was also on my slalom skis (yes Eaf, I have narrow skis, too) to help keep me warm. Main Street was the ROTD for me, absolutely perfect snow. NMDW was a close second. We've had such amazing conditions the past week+ and it looks like it's only going to continue.

Another huge sausage fest this morning. Conditions continue to be amazing...just wish it was 25F. I'll be a 6 layer player again tomorrow.

We have a pecking order at Blue. On NWDM, JohnnyLaw and I go first. On Switchback, GSS and JohnnyLaw go first. No passing allowed except when RidgeRacer is out of control and passes dangerously close.

This was a debate years ago on here. On the old stats manager, 2 visits would count as 2 days when viewing your own stats, but on the leaderboard, would count as 1 day. I can't exactly remember how the new one works, despite writing it myself.

Wrong. 2 visits, even to two different mountains, counts as 1 day of skiing....at least on PASR.

It's because we're all pretty competent skiers. If you can turn a 27m radius ski better than most can turn a 17m ski, why wouldn't you? I'm a pretty decent slalom skier and can hold my own on my SL boards, but they're not a good Blue Mountain ski. Too narrow, short, and turny for the variable conditions that one encounters at Blue. I skied WC race stock skis at Blue for years. I now ski a 98mm underfoot ski. I can tell you which one I have more fun on 99% of the days.

Razors was fucking awesome tonight. Main Street, too. Even Blue can't fuck up this weather. I give tonight 9/10.

NYD is generally a slow arriving crowd.
