After this trip, I'll have 61 days in at JH. Better than some 2 year locals I love the place. As lame as it sounds, that first run of the trip off the gondy to thunder down Amphitheater with the bright sun and titty sparkles ripping huge turns down to the lift puts the biggest fucking smile on my face and think how i'd love to start every day of my life like that.

This. You think Doug is ever in shape (sorry Doug) when he skis at JH? Skiing is about having fun. I think I could have fun skiing regardless of my physical ability.

Granted some of us on PASR get an inordinate amount of vacation days, but that's a pretty crazy if you can't take a week off from work. Is it not permitted? 4 days is the minimum for any ski trip, JH or otherwise. Mostly, for better chances of snow. You can ski JH boundary to boundary between 9am and 2am skiing a lot of main routes. Besides the cliffs, every acre of JH is skiable. My 9th trip there and I don't think I've ever skied Middle Hoback? Who knows...place is huge.

Logistics? Jackson Hole has the easiest logistics. Get in an airplane, fly to JAC, hop in a cab...no rental car needed. And cost...this January is the month to do it!

For those that are active users of the stat manager...I'm looking for feedback. I'm forced to rewrite it to upgrade to the latest forum software. So far, the features that will be implemented: 1) Mobile version 2) Stats for all members with stats in a given season (instead of just the top 10). 3) "Seasons in review" for easier comparison of stats between seasons. 4) Total days skied at each mountain for each user across all their seasons.

That was 16 years ago. I try to forget my dark past. Kyle now skis? I also just like busting your balls. At Blue it really doesn't matter much, but it's a fact that a snowboard is an inferior method of transportation. Traversing for long distances with slight uphills really demonstrates the impracticality of a snowboard.

And now Barb skis...AH went to Jackson as a Snowboarder, came back as a skier. I know plenty of people that made the switch to skiing, nobody that has gone the other way. Just sayin... You should give it a try TP4.
