Night skiing? Fun?!? Impossible.

School groups are irrelevant after 7pm....terrible before 6pm. We've had some really good night sessins.

Surprisingly good for the lack of recent pow. Bumps aren't that huge, but they're soft and playful. Great first day on the hill with GSS and NSJay. The 3000+ vertical foot run from the top of the Sublette Chair to the bottom of the Hobacks is always a fun run..and my first real "run" of the year.

Is that some Bumble Bee Bowl action? Nice.

Forecast is meaningless...can snow 6" when weather.com says 10% chance.

They don't operate the 6am on weekend...just the 7:30 ABE-ORD which leaves a 52m layover in ORD. Throw in some time for ABE-slowness, de-icing, and penalty box in ORD and it's all of a sudden a fucking problem.

GSS is in possession of some finely tuned skis now. The countdown is on!

I bring enough cash for the taxi from the airport to the hotel. $40. Based on how much I have in my wallet right now, it's going to be $41.

Time to start tuning the boards!

Fun first night. Nice course that was pretty straight forward except for the new roller they've built at the bottom of Razorback. The team did pretty well on the warm up night. The red course was slightly slicker than the Blue, both pretty good considering the rain on Sunday. I even managed my first Monday night race league podium finish! See everyone in two weeks...good luck next Monday!

I also dislike the rollers on Razors edge...really ruins my run. I'd prefer to arc turns without interruption.

Today was pretty freakin nice on challenge and main street...waayyyy better than I was expecting. Could actually dig in and push it pretty hard on some smooth "grippy" snow (it was nice to have a fresh tune). JADIP.

Blue is closing at 1pm today, so no racing!

Certainly an adventure today. I wish Blue would fix the 2 or 3 broken ticket scanners at the bottom. Also, having Razors closed from the start when there wasn't a racer in sight until 8:30am is annoying.

I guess I have to assume duties as captain. Meet next Monday night in the upper lodge by the bar (i think so) by 5:45pm for signup. The first night doesn't count...so its good practice for some SL gates. a network attached thermometer somewhere on the mountain would be huggeee. Would make dressing for early AM skiing much easier.

Pretty foggy up top...and still too cold. I want to ski some soft bumps today...I'm thinking of a 11am start.

I just skied the right side of Lazy all morning which was perfect for making turns. Paradise was already falling apart on the first run. Didn't bother with Main St.

Another fun day at Blue. And a successful parking lot session after the habanero sculpin from NMski. JADIP
