I'd be happy with just Vista again if it meant opening in November...maybe I'm in the minority though....

The last year we went to VT for opening weekend was the first Killington had the "stairway to heaven". That ruined it for us. I think the best VT opening day we did was Mount Snow. They had the better top to bottom terrain compared to Killington's typical opening t2b run.

Shiros are a must for opening day...gotta surf the cookies.

You heard it here...we'll be skiing next weekend. Even if it's fucking Big Boulder.

Hate on GSS's skiing all you want. He'll school most people here in the trees. You certainly wouldn't think so seeing him ski at Blue. We're not worried about getting our moneys worth. We're there to ski what we want, when we want. We ski until conditions aren't going to get any better, or we're tired. When we do 7 day trips, we're bound to have some groomer days. This past trip, we had 3 or 4 in a row, until we had 3 great powder days. We've skied late when a mid day storm rolls through. We've ended early because it was only going to deteriorate due to warming temps. I'm not going to let the operating hours of the mountain dictate my day.

As someone who put up with years of pain in the search of performance, I ponied up the cash and went to Billy Kaplan. GSS and JStyle know what I used to deal with, and last year at the bottom of the Hobacks I didn't have to stop and rip my buckles off. I skied to the lift and flipped them up. It was a 1000x time improvement over what I used to suffer with.

The new RR Sport is actually "sporty" compared to the old version. I drove a friends...worth a test drive for sure.

I think the new Jeeps GC's are pretty badass looking. Same with the new Range Rover Sports.

It was 43F Sunday AM when I water skied. The face was a bit chilly.

That's a reasonably safe bet...we've had pretty good luck with November skiing in PA the last few years.

We just need JFskiDan to convert to the dark (light?) side that is Blue Mountain...glad we got NMSKI to get the pass for this season.

My copilot sucks at taking pictures but the needle was at 150 at one point. Driving the San Bernadino pass today. The gopro will be capturing it all.
