  1. Nice dude, you even got them in the right size. I rode them at the end of April, groomers only and they rip. I even gave them a little mogul action and they were fine and everyone knows I don't like moguls. They are very quick for a big ski, little bit of roll and you can get them dancing quick. Damp but not dead, I rode the previous lineup, I can't remember all the names but it was the motorhead series and they were too torsionally soft. When you got them cranking they didn't hold as well as the Cyclic which is impressive considering its all fiberglass reinforcement. Light, versatile, playfull medium radius ski and the graphics are cool. I like my shit bright, like offensive bright but it's like women at the bar, Candy in the tube top who loves tequila rocking turtleneck cleavage is fun but the tight number, understated, really sleek package..... she's the catch, like a james bond gf....your skis are pussy galore...
  2. I've been lucky enough to spend a day with their lineup that last couple years (no spur sadly) All there skis are aggressive, big sweepers, a more approachable and friendly ski that is a step below the B104, m103, OG LP's. Really fun, you can really put the hammer down but they don't require alot of attention at slower speeds and you can lazy leg them without them putting you on your ass.
  3. Gonna stock the snow making ponds, gonna be killer flounder fishing.
  4. Nice dude they have a killer lineup.
  5. ^ Sickbird ! Welcome to a brand new adventure... Titty sparkles in a box
  6. Ice dude, Antarctic ice is like crazy crazy high and most of the Northern passages never opened this year. Cold, all the great lakes are under their seasonal avg temps. Atlantic multidecadal oscillation is in the first stage of negative if you believe in the AMO. AMO not to be confused with the NAO or AO also called the polar vortex is this idea that surface sea temps oscillate roughly every 10 years between warmer and colder patterns. We have been in a warm or positive phase since about 2000 but this years probably starts the negative or colder phase. That sounds good right, we all like cold air, the problem is it doesn't snow in PA if it's cold. The vast vast majority of PA snow events are around the freezing mark. Cold air is more dense than warm air and super cold air makes it tough for the warm air to penetrate. GW says the NE should be snowier and colder, a mother fuck ton of cold air seems to be around and this summer was generally pretty cool. My gut says lots of cold air but not alot of snow. I think if they want to be open in mid late Nov that's possible but that decision is often based on lots of other things than weather. Last year was pretty rare, memory says we went basically Jan-Mar without a thaw. That's pretty fucking weird, also we should have gotten alot more snow than we did. Mid Atlantic was rocking the snow dome pretty hard last year, lots of dry slotting and we ended up with a good amount of snow on the ground. Snow is very very tricky though, 100mi makes a world of difference and that's super short term 24/48hr stuff. Also from a skier's perspective it needs to come at the right time. Blue slayage went down because you got near perfect snowfall, a bunch of super wet heavy base shit and then a couple of lighter dumps on top. It could certainly snow more but in the opposite order or all super light which could result in more snow on the ground when you tally it up at the end of the year but no bowl slayage. Basically that's alot of words to say nobody fucking knows but it seems like there will be plenty of cold air around.
  7. I own 4 pairs of armada's and I hate that ski. Its a medium radius ski that wants to go fast but isn't stiff enough. Wait for Justo though he has better thoughts.
  8. Start of season is like back to school, you can't let them see you in last year's shit LOL haahah I hung out with alot of actual rich people this weekend, always good to know were you stand. My wife disagrees and I really like her though to be fair I generally do and she just forgives me later.
  9. I was told I should get the divorce papers ready if another bike or pair of skis shows up before January.....I'm sure I'll buy some jackets and what not, I'm dangerously low of outerwear....
  10. They were behind on Punkin this year, it's only getting distributed now and a bunch of pumpkins were already in DE beer stores. New bottles so maybe that slowed them down.
  11. Huntah the physical place is fine, it is however filled to the fucking gills with the biggest bunch of assholes ever assembled on planet earth. It's like all of North Jersey goes to Huntah, they all fucking suck, they are all fucking drunk of bud light and none of them can ski while drunk. Add those people into a very vertical hill in which everything is on top of eachother and each run funnels into about three actual runs and the place fucking blows. Platty is owned by a cool dude who does dope shit, their terrain is at least equal and they get 1/10000th the crowd. Laslow actually cares that you spend your money there so why not pay him a visit instead. I'd put Blue Knob in the running for South of VT and there is shit in Western PA that would challenge the best skiers on the planet. The size of your hill does not equate directly to the proficiency of one's skills...a trip to Deer Valley is all the proof anyone needs of that.
  12. It looks like there is maybe a poly windshield of some kind.
  13. Don't hate on BC, the terrain is what it is. It's SE PA 1000ft vert isn't possible. I do think Bear is generally run considerably better than Blue though Blue has upped their game the last two years. Bear blows way way way better snow and the grooming is light years ahead of Blue. Most of the hardcore Bear riders are park people, I'm out of the park game awhile now so correct me if I'm wrong but Bear's park is pretty good and vert/lifts are less relevant then. Additionally the park scene there was generally younger, those kids need a ride from Ma and Pa and they don't want to drive an hour each way so for alot of the bear peeps it's ride there or don't ride at all. The only hill it's 100% ok to hate on is Huntah........and Mt. Creek on weekends.......shit and anytime somebody says Elk is like VT.
  14. hahahah, that was the worst section but there are bunch of peeps riding through there around Marsh Creek area and traffic was light. I did feel bad for some cars but whatever 15 seconds of waiting ain't gonna impact their lives. I only do road rides maybe once a week, it a nice change from SRT/Valley Forge Really good ride, I rode 70 miles on route L, I can ride from my house to Birdsboro on the SRT which is about 10 miles so round trip was 81ish. I think I remember you ride MTB at French Creek sometimes, the descent out of FCSP is really good. 345 North into Birdboro is steep and very fast, in that direction is also has new pavement and a good shoulder. I hit 37mph and I ride the brakes because I'm a pussy. You can also take Shed Rd which is more flowy. 345 South is boner city, a mix of fast and flowy and it drops you out into a low angle downhill through a really beautiful farm area with tree canopied road. Rural PA magazine shit. Ride your MTB down at least once it's super super fun. I've ridden all the big hills in Berks, Neversink, Mt. Penn. Church Lane, etc. and 345 is by far the best. Damn dude that's POC, they are pretty sturdy. You in one piece ?
  15. 5 and two sodas.....
  16. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/40.26466,-75.79809/39.837145,-75.59845/@40.0512122,-75.7464343,11z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!4m5!1m1!4e1!1m1!4e1!3e1?hl=en South is about 1750 and North is 1850 I don't know how accurate that is but I mean Google never lies right. This dude says it's more but I don't know, there is alot of climbing until you hit Downington - http://chipbiking.wordpress.com/2012/06/01/bike-route-l-part-5-birdsboro-to-delaware-state-line/
  17. Who knew there were so many gardeners....rode route L, super super nice. 3500ft of climbing with two nearly perfect descents, low traffic, at one point I came to a t intersection with zero cars and full on 6ft high corn on all sides, looked like Nebraska.
  18. That was a boner city day.....I hope we get to do that again soon..
  19. ^ it is only relevant a couple times a decade, nobody said shit this year. The area in between Lazy and Sidewinder was surprisingly nice, though I just followed Justo who actually knew the lines.
  20. Old white lady, old white lady seems to be the only one I ever get.
  21. Ahhh home of the meth head waitresses....get a pitcher give her a 20$ and you 13$ all in change no bills....she'll come by 4 more times to ask you if you paid....you got random motorcycle dudes, center city working stiffs who either like dive bars or are down on their luck and level 100 accredited hipsters way way too cool for the Royal, were talking Salvation Army shoppers no Urban Outfitters, the dudes with cell phones that look like a mix of coo coo clock and one of those old school house jobs with a crank where you had to ask the operator to call aunty mae or whatever....what a place, they even have/had a working Pac Man table like old school Pizza Hut restaurants, it's a little slice of heaven though certainly no Northeast Tap Room which will forever maintain the weird fucking bar trophy. All I want to know is who the fuck has fallen so far down the rabbit hole that they are eating McGlinchey's hot dogs? They must sell them but to whom and why ? EDIT: Also - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY_3uxzkoV4
