  1. Skip the shoe and go to whitegrass, whitegrass is amazing.
  2. This list is shit, where is Shames
  3. There is a spring mtn/hill 20 mins from bc
  4. I was a bear pass holder since the switch over and I don't remember them ever opening before the 15th, one year they opened and then closed again for almost a week in early January and there was another year were it got really close when the ponds were low. Shit the last year I was there they opened on Dec 18th or something like that. It was after the 15th of the month because I remember getting paid and thinking fuck why should I even buy a pass and hence I moved on to blue. You can only blow when mother nature allows you to do so, no amount of bitching is going to drop the temps in Macungie 3 degrees. Bear had/has a 100 days policy and I've never seen any evidence of them intentionally not blowing.
  5. I know they have to balance their electricity use very carefully, essentially there is not enough power in that area for them to run every gun at once. Be patient its not even Christmas yet, anything pre Jan 1 in Pa is a bonus.
  6. Where you going in VT ? Unless it super secret James Bond stuff or you just don't want to tell a complete internet stranger details of your life. LOL If it is Burlington I'm going to have to punch you in the face, I fucking love that place and could eat the seafood cavatelli dish at Delia every fucking night. As for another mind blowing revelation from Riley, no shit, we have all ridden there we know the deal but you can't add 600ft of vert to Bear Creek or whatever.
  7. For sure....NE looks bad but lets be honest we can deal, we are used to this kind of shit. The bad part is that Pacific air is really fucking the west. Everywhere from Interior BC to UT is dry, Jackson is looking shitty, early Jan until they see some snow. Interior BC is the last stop if it ain't snowing there it ain't snowing anywhere.
  8. Everything is fucked both the AO and NAO will be positive for at least another two weeks. The big dog though is too much warm air at jet stream levels in the pacific, it is literally fucking everything up from CA to PA. It will be cold, then warm thurs, then cold behind with maybe some real deal arctic air then warmup before the holidays. My heart then says it will bomb cold for 3 months with 2ft a week but that seems kinda unlikely.
  9. I'll be there, been a stupid week but I'll figure it out. Good temps, high 40's low 20's except for thurs with that r shit.
  10. hahahahah Indy bowl OVER 35 degrees!!!! oh the humanity ! This shit can't be for realz..... Ski Denton has a white diamond, I think it may be a triple now but for awhile it was the only white diamond I've even seen. I think I'll start with Indy and then work my way up to the extreme Hogan Bowl at Abasin, that shit is a good 300 ft were you can find "some unbelievably, I mean unbelievably, deep snow in there." The entire discussion though is without merit as Jordan tours with a women, a real live women with boobs and all that shit. That is like the fucking holy grail of skiing, that 1 in a billion girl who actually enjoys touring and booting some ribbon in July for 3 hours. A female of the species that enjoys touring is the ultimate trump card its magic is supreme, no amount of bro brah dick waving trumps fucking in a 4 season tent in the middle of nowhere....game over Subzero wins!

    Hurt Knee

Depending on what exactly is wrong you may still be able to ride, dudes go entire seasons with no ACL. Are you going to be dropping 60 and floating big 3's no but you would be 90% which ain't bad.
  12. HUNTAH!!! Not even with 8 months off.
  13. Snowbird is much better if you get your White Pines on.
  14. I was on that ski for a demo day in april, its cool and I really want to like it but I actually hated it. A very specific tool for sure, but then again maybe I was just in a bad mood. LOL My face was getting baked and my back was tuned up but they were way too twitchy and the zero camber relegated them strictly to groomers. I should probably try them again.... I got an old school style with lots of extra angulation, its one of those bad habits I can never get out of like extra upper body movement when I'm bored. But I can carve a 115 no problem. If my sister ever gets them shipped I'll run the Super 7 as my daily driver. With the newer stuff you can have a 195 length 117 that carves like an old school 68 and has excellent pow performance. A mogul ski they aren't (though I am a shitty mogul skier as AJ can attest to) but nowadays width isn't as important as it used to be, in my opinion of course.
  15. This is what happened as far as I remember, I really don't remember it having anything to do with skiing. Sometimes the local ROTC or NG guys come rolling through BC in their full gear. Kind of strange to round the bend rolling into the lower lift and there are 30 dudes in the woods playing war or whatever.
  16. Now imagine if you could carve on a fatty !! The speed, the power.......time for ludicrous speed!
  17. KT knows his shit that should be good, Rieber is the dude who used to do all the work at Pinnacle. He's a good tech and can mount 10 year old Diamir II's freehand.
  18. Everything will be a ok, eventually is just has to get cold, there simply isn't enough sun light at the right angle to stay 60 degrees all winter.
  19. Weather is like a pendulum, for small stretches of time it can swing wildly to one extreme but it must always return to equilibrium. The NAO is still way positive and until that changes there will be no sustained cold air in the NE.
  20. I don't even know anymore all that is around is Buckmans, I have a pair of Fischer R4's with the older fks155 and Buckmans totally fucked the forward pressure. Rich Rieber might be your best bet, he at the very least knows what they are and how they work.
  21. If you take them to idiots they will fuck the forward pressure up.
  22. Good memory...your insightful analysis is right on. There are some super pimp pads at Sundance, a couple sit way up on the little shoulder between sundance and timp. I haven't had the pleasure but I was in/stayed in the StoneSun Cabin which is pretty fucking ill. I am not a pimp or a player, my game while good is mostly negated by my complete inability to notice when the female members of our species are looking to fuck but I could have pulled Wilt Chamberlain levels of ass with some of the shanty's they got up there. One is called tip view or timp view...holy fuck....posh, with a view out of Ski magazine. I have it on good authority that out past far east that canyon runs all the way back to the highway with truly excellent bc skiing, alas I was too busy getting my knob slobbered to check it out.....What a very simple species we are LOL
  23. Stone Creek I believe as I can see the lower line. Stone creek is kinda flat too. My sister who lives in Florida and rides 4 days a year can ride stone creek as well as her sometimes telly sometimes snowboarder boyfriend. I wrote BC is a little flat and it is. In the entire place you got some steeps around Stone creek, a little on the roll over before you hit the bottom run out on centennial, the short section above rose bowl, a few random trails on grouse and the tree run under the bald spot. That's pretty much it. I like meadow skipping some of my favorite places are meadow skipping and I will probably end up at Beaver in April again this year but nobody is confusing beaver creek with Snowbird or Squaw.
  24. Red Lion FTW The go go dancers alone are worth the $$$, throw in lots of Mormon chicks trying to get drunk and have butt sex on the down low and its a great time.
