Firm and fast, good snow except in high traffic areas. Kinda chilly though with the wind. To the young blonde with the killer rack and painted on yoga pants, I unlike the ticket counter bitch really enjoyed your impromptu performance. While I can't figure out why you felt it necessary to remove 90% of your clothing before getting in the car I applaud your commitment to being really fucking hot. If you should feel the need to hold amateur stripper night again I'm sure I can arrange something at my house.

I've been there twice, my uncle's brother was a patroller their and my cousin has been there like a 100 times over 20 years. It used to be a state facility and now as far as I know its a 99 year lease deal. Avalanche is maybe 50 degrees, people say its 66 but its definitely not that steep. Mt. Snow has some run that they say is 62 or something similar and it is for like 3 feet the rest is in the upper 40's, Avalanche could have something like that going on. Its really what you would expect really icy, spotty coverage steep groomer. There is a tree trail called extreme that is next to avalanche that is hardly ever ride-able. I've never had the pleasure but my cousin's cousin has ridden it a bunch and said its mostly just really steep icy bumps. He did put a ski pole 4" through his leg on that trail a number of years ago so I imagine it can get pretty gnar. Denton is in the middle of nowhere so no crowds and not alot in the way of conventional ski amenities. Still a cool place to check out at least once. The trails are short and steep, but not considerably more than dodges drop at tux if you remember that.

I'm going to tonight, like toast I haven't been up in awhile so I feel obligated.....expecting ice box like conditions.

Lulz, I am a magic share holder, well 100th of a share through TGR, I love magic but that shit isn't ever going to run. This mystery part has been holding up the black lift for like 10 years now. lulz Love the small mtn stoke ............best places to ride.

lulz We are in a strange new world last year and this....... Both years the longer the cold has stuck around more people start screaming about how we are going to warm up. I'm not saying that we won't but its just funny to me...eventually they just yell about warming until April and then say they were right. lulz The models were off last year but not wrong, this year they are all over the place and just plain wrong sometimes. GFS/NAM/EURO says blizzard for 10/11 for the last 5/6 days, then all the sudden today the GFS says no storm, all energy phases into the ocean. Could that happen sure but what's more likely is our models suck because the way energy is interacting in our system is just fucking bonkers right now. This isn't a global climate change discussion but our weather models for the most part have sucked donkey dick this winter and weren't great last year. Weather is a complicated business but I like this idea about global climate change and increased heat and energy in the NE, it would certainly explain the general weirdness latley. What's kinda weird is the lack of $$$ for weather models

I don't remember Plattekill being busy ever but maybe I'm on crack. Greek is probably the more gnar mtn but it get crowded, bell gets crowded too. Ehh 6 or half dozen either way.
-
Storms have generally over performed when compared to the models so there is a possibility of more. Tues/Weds = possibility of a little dust up, models all over the place Feb 10/11 = possible bomb, keep an eye on this one

What AT binding ? Duke ? Was it the over camber release ? Heal up and have fun in VT

Firm, like Olympic downhill course firm, fast and empty. The top layer is loose snow, under that it is pretty god damn firm and fast. If I was a PSIA head I'd tell you that the underneath layer leads to uneven edge purchase. lulz Regardless it still easily carvable and the extra glide is fun, all things considered Blue did a very good job with the 1.5" of ice.

McConkey was smart like way smart though I can't believe he was a pro I'm way better than him. Skiing has become so serious, everyone's trying to be core and show how much cooler they are then everyone else. I'm not excluding myself from that I certainly get sucked into shit like which mtn to ski, why I'm way too cool for GoPro clips or making fun of Asian's fruit booting Catherine's area. We all need to remember to chill the fuck out and remember we are all out here to have fun, GNAR I think is all about getting back to a more fun attitude.....that and I would really love to mass BN Razor's at Blue. People would have a Chernobyl level meltdown and those cats are wound up so so tight about their little 1000 vert plate tech-tonic's burp its hilarious. Blue GNAR could be excellent Take Barbara Green to lunch at BDMI = 5000 points Ski Paradise at a high rate of speed in full texas tuck = 200 points Ski Lazy Mile on Sat MLK weekend with eyes closed and hit no one = 1,000,000 points Get to 2nd base with Heide Lutz in ticket office = 1000 points Ski upper rat skank in December = 500 points hmmm.....I can't see writing a line type book about Blue though..... lulz

The dude that owns plattekill is cool with sleeping in the lot and touring before the lifts turn.
-
Not as much at Blue as the Allentown people are saying seemed to be around 5", roads were fine.
-
Sweet fucking day, all the lines are in, lift lines are a go. The baby chair line which shall now be called Rat Skank is epic, sweet little hidden drop that takes you by surprise. Tbar line is primo and the top of the quad lift line is real nice. Lots of people all over the place which pissed patrol off, dude got nuclear about us skiing the tbar line. Roads were fine unless you wanted to do 90. We got there at 2 and left at 10 and there was maybe 5 inches on my car, lots more in reading maybe 10 inches since I shoveled this morning. There is a rain crust that will keep you from bottoming out but the regular trees have too much shit in them. One more nice storm and all kinds of things come into play. Have fun tomorrow.
-
I'll be up this afternoon and then Thursday morning, special guest star in the house today.
-
3 to 4 already in reading which according to yesterday was all we were getting. This sucker will trend north, I'm hitting Blue around 2/3 when this storm should start cranking. I'd bet Allentown will hit 8".
-
Nice dude! If its the same Dave Moore that used to run Nastar at Bear, he's a good racer, very fast, kudos.
-
Serious lulz, I'm heading up to maine next week so I'm sure a blizzard will hit pa

WHAT THE MOTHER FUCK ????? I check this piece of shit at 2am and all is well, now 6 hours later the whole thing is too warm. Clearly the JL kiss of death is in full effect.....hopefully the models are wrong and its a little colder or the track changes Thurs morning might still be good but fuck the hurricane planes really fucked us over.
