They have some real funny mechanics, lots of shitty plastic in an attempt to make forward pressure easier to adjust. Heavy with poor retention. The thing that really pisses me off is that atomic locks you into their shitty bindings with the patterns and offers no universal plate and then the neox line never worked with the race room skis. They are your skis you bought them you should be able to put 3pin leathers or some horrible franken binding you created in your basement on them. What if I want to mount them flat instead of 12" of completely useless plastic or god forbid tele. Integrated bindings suck particularly ones that have shitty elasticity and are unusually heavy. Smart man, you did a good job btw on the mount, you would be amazed how few people know how to mount bindings.

Your fucking high so please stop slobbering on Peaks balls. Running one small ass hill in PA in a non-retarded way does not make them some kind of skiing white knight. Bell will be fine as long as the state of ny stops pissing away money.

You should always mount atomic bindings in the trash....pieces of shit...

^ I'm not attacking you or anyone else, my apologies if it feels that way. I figure this is more like sitting a bar bullshitting with your friends rather than some formal horseshit. I don't care if you or Jesus himself is rocking 1,000,000 flex boots unless I'm looking to purchase those same boots that's your prerogative. Plugs though are massively uncomfortable, Justo aside (btw you should have been a racer, you may be the only person in the history of plugs with a foot that actually fits) they really fit nobody. All I'm saying is that any of that shit is really crappy indicator of one's ability, there are wanna be racers rocking stiff as shit boards and boots that can't do anything more than stem christies and people in rag tag shit ass beater gear that mother fucking kill it. There's a dude from Mich. running around LCC that doesn't even have matching skis yet he can drop 40 clean and blow backies off 2ft wind lips. The somewhat common theory that gear=ability is horse shit, gear=how much money you have or how many people you know that work at a shop.

So lusting for the full tilt's Keep us updated if you would on what you think of them, I loved the old Raichle bumblebees.

They could blow so much snow that I thought I was Tony Montana and it still would be chock full of the biggest fuck heads east of the Mississippi.

Seven Springs is ok the Knob however is the best in PA.

Everyone shut the fuck up about boot stiffness, 90% of those numbers are make believe. They are shit dudes in the marketing department come up with based on a rough estimate based on plastics and shims and crap like that. A nordica 90 could be lange 130 or a rossi 50, its all marketing bullshit. Plugs are for obese mother fuckers, high high high end racers and dudes that want to front. I run a 90 flex boot and can huck up to 20, rip steeps and run gates in some of the stiffest boards (B-squad/LP's/SC98's) south of custom Iggys. Now I am a middle of the road skier but occasionally I get to ride with people who have real talent and I can't ever remember anyone talking about boot stiffness in any meaningful way. Think more scalpel and less sledgehammer. As an aside its kind of pathetic to see a bunch of dudes in a thread whipping their dicks out to see who's is the biggest based on boot stiffness. If you ever get out to Crested there is a dude in 60's wool gear, leather boots and 3pins. Dude mother fucking kills it, while were dicking around with 1,000,000 flex lange world cups he's in 3pins murdering it like we only do in dreams. Gear is entirely secondary to whoever is using it.

NE Extension & Easy Pass ? From my office in Conshie to Blue is an hour which is as close as anywhere else except maybe Spring which sucks. This post is of zero help.....
-
Plattekill is cool and you can actually rent the place out if your private group has the bills.
-
today and tomorrow suck balls but then you got at least 4 or 5 days of blowable weather. Anyone in the Poconos and north who wants to be open should be by mid week.
-
Thunder ridge....holy fuck forgot about that place.....you could probably make it to blue in 90mins with no traffic.

This is serious shit, they have proposed cutting 45 of the 55 full time workers at the Bell. http://www.adirondackdailyenterprise.com/page/blogs.detail/display/942/List-of-DEC-positions-scheduled-to-be-cut.html Some of these people can choose early retirement and some can choose to take a lower paying no benefits position but bottom line is NY state is broke and people at Bell are getting the axe. With all these full time operators getting canned I'm sure there not thinking about making sure the public knows when they are going to blow snow, additionally I'm sure there is a chance that they may not open or be in just a weekend mode. Lot of politics on his - http://online.wsj.com/article/AP1b7fb19d2496453bb564d9ec85d4aca4.html so I'm sure some of this is just bs posturing but its a fucked up situation for sure. Beast riders check out Platekill, great mtn.

I hate that too and I'm a smoker, rip the filter off and stick it in your pocket. Butts take like 9 million years to decompose.
-
Fucking stupid but the smokers are to blame, its common courtesy don't smoke in the line and ask before lighting up on the lift. Whatever I'll just smoke in the woods or on the lift, its Pico so nobody is on them anyways.

Gallatin and the surrounding area are in worse shape, the base layers has a nice bond but there is a shit layer from snow that sat, this layer is now three to four feet and has let some big slides rip at Big Sky on Northern aspects. Add in a serious sustained wind and that's a more complicated situation.
-
Its probably actually fine for the most part, that's alot of snow but its very dry snow for the Tahoe area and the lack of a base actually helps you in a storm like this. The snow from this has and will continue to consolidate at a pretty decent pace but with the relatively steady temps you won't see facet growth. The pace of the snowfall means the pack won't be able to support the load up so quickly on steep shit and the high intensity winds would create some crazy wind slab above tree line. What you don't want is that shit to sit around for along time with no new action, then it would be like a Colorado snowpack. lulz Most stuff in the trees at a reasonable angel (30ish or less) on a non-north/east aspect would be fine. BTW Squaw SNOTEL is showing 39 on the ground with consolidation, at that elevation they will probably pick up 18-24 today and tonight and end up with a total snowpack of around 4/4.5 feet which is alot less than 8ft. South of the lake is reporting less with the Heavenly station showing 32" on the ground.
