It definitely improved, they are a family run business so no numbers are available but I do know they are in a much better situation than they were last year. Now some of their problems are a result of location and a change in general weather patterns but the additional traffic has helped. This whole discussion if you will is kind of stupid, with the possible exception of DV, discrimination of some kind really isn't present. MRG was actually one of the first places to allow snow boarding and did so until some kind of disagreement with the previous owner, I've heard they got in a fight with her about derailing a chair and she told them to get lost. Its become part of their history and story so it may stick around for some time. You aren't missing anything as there are 4 of 5 mountains in the general area which are just plain better. They have no hard policy but if you earn your turns they don't really care what you are riding. DV is all about the economics, their customers mostly think of skiing the way it used to be, like a country club, lots of bogners and JCK one-pieces. There clientele equates snowboarding with rif raf (which is hilarious) as long as they continue to make money they aren't changing shit. That mountain is a piece of shit anyways and even more of waste of time than Park City so again you aren't missing anything. Alta is the only one where I can see people feeling like they are really missing out on something, they get more snow than the bird and do have some really sick lines. Again this is a case of history and giving their customers what they want. Additionally everything worth riding at Alta is accessed by traverses, no offense but 99% of boarders fuck traverses up so I don't know how much they would get out of it anyway. Your welcome to try it out though, Alta closes when the tourists stop showing up and its on National Forest land for the most part so anyone is free to use the mountain as long as they aren't riding the lifts. Lots and lots of people come over from the Bird and do the Baldy loop. MRG is the only one I see changing its mind anytime soon.

Where is he going ? I remember back in the day when he took things over...good for him. With his skills he needs a bigger mountain.

Well I just got the call - they are going to induce Sunday morning so no CB for me. Shred one for me.

Holy shit man, you must have legs like tree trunks as they are pretty heavy. Embarrassing but true, I fell off a narrow ass trail into a creek in the Dacks using trekkers, I'll blame the stack height but its probably just my shitty technique. There probably is something wrong with the forward pressure, maybe it needs to be dialed down. On steeper terrain the ski tends to form a U shape from flexing, the binding will flex but the trekker stays mostly straight pinching the trekker and ramping up the forces the binding is seeing. HMMM that sounds like BS.....someone on TGR has to know.

Bronze also doesn't rust or oxidize, additionally it is less prone to metal fatigue than steel. It is however much softer.
-
A fucking + I can't tell if you used trekkers or Naxo's but serious props if you climbed in Trekkers.

good to hear you had a good time I don't know about the attachment option, I always upload them to imageshack or picasa and then use the forum link. The forum link will look like this [/img]web address [/img] with no slash in the first tag.

I forgot Exum runs tours if your looking for guided stuff, they do an interconnect tour that is pretty damn cool. Essentially you will ski the big six all in one day, it sounds like a lot of work but they really are pretty damn close to one another and your not really doing any uphill stuff. You don' have to be an expert but you should be able to traverse for short periods of time. I've never done it but my mom who is 47 said it was a good time. 16 miles round trip mostly down. WPG can do a day of "heli" and Alta runs a snowcat package. Both aren't really worth the money as you can easily get to 99% of their terrain with a little knowledge and skins, but if you aren't into that they could be an option.

DV is bad because they are lower and tend to get more warming and will definitely have a warmer snow pack. PC is for losers. PM sent.

Agreed , Lots and lots of people wear Keffiyeh's, if you've ever been in the desert when its 100 degrees and blowing sand you know why. They are particular popular with British troops which is kind of weird. American troops normally wear a khaki one with black threading. Saurus man I understand why it pisses you off and we certainly get our fair share of dumb asses at bear but why don't you let them know what it really is in a nice way. Just say hey guys its a Keffiyeh and my brother got it for me in Iraq, Palestinians wear it alot but so do alot of other people. My guess is that they would shut their mouths after you let them know what the deal is.

Hah! What's funny is that most SLC'ers think Ogden is too far.
-
Your the worst kind of troll, the not funny kind. I'll be up at Bear on and off the next two weeks, what will you be wearing. If your so fucking gnar lets see it.

Blue re-visited. My report. Parks still have same issues.

Which Moments ? Casey was in PA today i think. -
Good for him, he was always super stoked on skiing and a super cool guy....unless you cut Teresa off or went of the side of rails. LULZ

I haven't been at Bear much this season, I heard Ryan is now AM supervisor.

Get whatever feels best on your feet and isn't too stiff. Some people think max performance and end up with Doby 130's or some other plug and are very uncomfortable. Good freeride, race, park stiffness is the 90-100 range.

That's actually a pretty good deal, thanks for the link.

Markers are built to favor release over retention, which is fine for rental fleets and noobs but horrible for anyone that rides with speed. What ends up happening is people max out the DIN to compensate for their poor retention, thus adding unnecessary risk to your knees and leg bones. Marker for a while sold a 30 din racing binding, for anyone other than WC racers you might as well have bolted your boots to the ski but they needed the insanely high DIN to compensate for the fact that their bindings sucked. With a rossi/look, 4frnt or tyrolia you can run a safer DIN while still maintaining excellent retention.
