Trying to rally the crew for a quick hitter to snowshoe where 2ft+ is on the way. Problem is we are all broke and supposed to be at a family Christmas party tonight.....I guess Grandma can't stay mad at us forever.

Hunter isn't a bad idea Seven Springs ? Are you high ? Why would someone drive 4 hours from a small shitty hill to slightly larger shitty hill. That hill is the same shitty crap we have around here just with people from Pittsburgh instead of Philly. If your going to go that way at least ride at the Knob where you stand a chance of riding something decent if it snows. If your coming from closer to Philly and can do the 95/91 route you could be at Bromley in around 4 hours and that place isn't half bad. Plattekill is your best bet though, chill laid back vibe and a better chance at good snow. From Bear Creek to Platekill is 4 hours exactly. Then again you could drive two hours and go to Elk because it just like VT only closer.....lulz

The NAM has a warm air bias that causes it to push every fucking storm too far north. I'm no weather man so hopefully I'm totally wrong but I just don't trust the NAM.

Lots of people sleep in the car, if you can go 10 days staying in a hotel every night you can go twenty if you sleep in the car. Buy a decent sleeping bag and you'll be fine. Nice to hear your getting some snow Moe.

All the stuff I've seen says coastal storm that at best gives SE PA a dusting, hopefully things move a little more north and we get some real snow. Regardless Wisp or Snowshoe will be the place to be Sunday.

They should be able to blow snow pretty much every night this week so we better see some other trails open. What's the deal with the Waffle hut ? The VT ones are the shit...please tell me it will be open more than just sat/sun

The problem isn't necessarily with the number of people but their a-hole ratio. Hunter is the prime example of this phenomenon, 3 out of 4 people on these hills are a complete waste of life. Maybe its the cheap booze or easy access from jersey but these places are beacons for every Joey and Guido in the tri-state area. They never shut the fuck up and it always seems like there is thousands of them around every turn. Killy is a decent mountain but they need to take out the trash every once in a while.

You make it sound like we all participate in some kind of death sport..lulz Snow sports are a pretty safe sport for the most part, shit look at any hill in this area and most of the people are complete idiots yet 99% of them go home in one piece. Regardless of the inherent danger in the sport the amount of instruction you have only really plays a part in your chance of injury at the beginning of the process. I'd bet the percentage injured is pretty close between noobs and the ultra talented, the noobs don't know what their doing and the ultra talented are really pushing the envelope.

Your probably talking about a p10 or 12 which is similar but not exactly the same. This "new" binding was a FKS 155 or P18 and they are the worlds greatest binding unless your a kid or suck. Retention was excellent as they had tons of elasticity so if things got a little fucked you could still pull it back together but they always came off if you leg was going to snap. They stopped making them because of wear on the molds and the higher cost of production as compared to their current piece of shit. They haven't built new molds and as far as anyone knows aren't going to so if you want any buy them now because it doesn't look like they can continue to make new pairs.

Jay was fun on Saturday though alot of work. Almost totally an upslope event, 15-20" up real high and almost nothing in the valleys. It was nice to get back out again.

MOST VALLEY LOCATIONS REMAINING IN THE ALL RAIN OR RAIN MIXED WITH SNOW CATEGORY WITH LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATION FRIDAY NIGHT.

Definitely even if they don't spin the lifts 30 with rocks skis would be worth the effort in skinning up. Honestly though the best part of this possible storm is that we would finally have some snow on the ground.
