  1. I forgot Exum runs tours if your looking for guided stuff, they do an interconnect tour that is pretty damn cool. Essentially you will ski the big six all in one day, it sounds like a lot of work but they really are pretty damn close to one another and your not really doing any uphill stuff. You don' have to be an expert but you should be able to traverse for short periods of time. I've never done it but my mom who is 47 said it was a good time. 16 miles round trip mostly down. WPG can do a day of "heli" and Alta runs a snowcat package. Both aren't really worth the money as you can easily get to 99% of their terrain with a little knowledge and skins, but if you aren't into that they could be an option.
  2. DV is bad because they are lower and tend to get more warming and will definitely have a warmer snow pack. PC is for losers. PM sent.
  3. Agreed , Lots and lots of people wear Keffiyeh's, if you've ever been in the desert when its 100 degrees and blowing sand you know why. They are particular popular with British troops which is kind of weird. American troops normally wear a khaki one with black threading. Saurus man I understand why it pisses you off and we certainly get our fair share of dumb asses at bear but why don't you let them know what it really is in a nice way. Just say hey guys its a Keffiyeh and my brother got it for me in Iraq, Palestinians wear it alot but so do alot of other people. My guess is that they would shut their mouths after you let them know what the deal is.

Hah! What's funny is that most SLC'ers think Ogden is too far.
  5. Your the worst kind of troll, the not funny kind. I'll be up at Bear on and off the next two weeks, what will you be wearing. If your so fucking gnar lets see it.
  6. Which Moments ? Casey was in PA today i think.
  7. Good for him, he was always super stoked on skiing and a super cool guy....unless you cut Teresa off or went of the side of rails. LULZ
  8. I haven't been at Bear much this season, I heard Ryan is now AM supervisor.
  9. Sweet news !
  10. Get whatever feels best on your feet and isn't too stiff. Some people think max performance and end up with Doby 130's or some other plug and are very uncomfortable. Good freeride, race, park stiffness is the 90-100 range.
  11. That's actually a pretty good deal, thanks for the link.
  12. Markers are built to favor release over retention, which is fine for rental fleets and noobs but horrible for anyone that rides with speed. What ends up happening is people max out the DIN to compensate for their poor retention, thus adding unnecessary risk to your knees and leg bones. Marker for a while sold a 30 din racing binding, for anyone other than WC racers you might as well have bolted your boots to the ski but they needed the insanely high DIN to compensate for the fact that their bindings sucked. With a rossi/look, 4frnt or tyrolia you can run a safer DIN while still maintaining excellent retention.
  13. Noice!
  14. Trees are hard, so are rocks. Think about the "Marker Philosophy" next time your perched on a real sketchy line. Jester/Duke's are ok. Turntables are the real deal.
  15. Ice of whatever it will be fine.
  16. I've never had a problem and I ski fast, Bear's patrol is nothing like Blue's. First I've never seen them stake a particular run out and second 99% of them can't ski for shit, lot of Pocono shuffle going on. I'd say just be cool with what they have to say, be respectful and then just go do your own thing anyway. For the most part I get the feeling they could care less what you do as long as no one is getting hurt. The only time I've had direct experience with them was when the young kid killed Ryan on Cascade, funny as shit and they seemed to care less.
  17. I can't be there until later as I have to take my cat to the vet, so I'll be there around 11/12. If its poring I'll end up just staying home.
  18. I'll be in brown pants, brown argyle jacket, black helmet and lobster claw gloves say hi. I will prune back a line through those bushes, as long as I can find this trail.
  19. I'll be up there Saturday if it doesn't rain, I have a clinometer too so we can get real info. If anyone is around and wants to meet up let me know.
  20. Those are sick
  21. They do it all the time all over the NE, how do you think any of the trees are rideable. Hell Suicide Six has a bunch of guys from Woodstock that clear that shit out in the summer. If your serious talk to them about it and they should let you trim some shit down, if anything your doing them a favor. If its really 45 degrees I would go to JF just to ski it. How would one find this trail ?
  22. ^Champlain ?
  23. 3 hrs exactly
  24. That's what you should do, leave the entrance area thick to keep people out and then just clear the trail yourself.
