Be careful snowpack is full on shitty....

TT C6 It isn't what you say but how you say it. AtomicJeff - Threatening to ban or banning people because they disagree with you or because you don't like them is retarded. Ban people when they break the rules, end of story.

I'll have to look into that, I wanted to pick up a D90 but funds are low right now.

ORLY ? I forgot the part where I saw you there... little pico closed = mulit day total of 30" or so, 6 foot skier not standing straight up equals 5 feet or 60", 30 is half of 60 or roughly waist deep depending on how your body is set up. 3rd party confirmation - http://www.killingtonblog.com/ Is it your job on here to be an a-hole or does that come naturally ?

Dates: 12/20 & 12/21 Location: Sugarbush and Pico Music: Crown City Rockers - no sense With snow on the way and money in my pocket we decided a last mintue VT trip was in order, some hooligans my cousin knows reside in Randolph so we quickly made plans to stay there. Christmas party shenanigans forced a late start, additionally it snowed nearly the entire ride. The longer we drove the weirder things became, by the time we hit Killy's lot at 6:30am we had spun the car twice and had some redneck hillbilly in NY tell us all about his gun while we purchased washer fluid. A hour later aforementioned hooligans called and informed us they were going to the Bush, we stopped at some hippy's cafe in Rochester who asked us if we wanted to see her bong and made us the most disgusting breakfast sandwich I've ever had. If your ever driving to the Bush don't stop at the Second Chance Books Cafe. Bush had about 11", most of it was on maybe a quarter inch so core shots were plentiful. Still knee deep isn't bad. Maybe an hour into things I take one pic, which sucked because I missed, and my camera makes a noise like its ready to explode and then proceeds to shit the bed. A good day was had and we went back to Randolph to tow snow skate, I got the cam to fire off one more shitty pic before it died completely. We eventually woke up to it absolutely nuking and headed out to hit Pico. Most of their lifts were closed so we knew with a little work we could hit totally untouched. A and B slope were total boner city with ultra light waist deep. 8 hours of face shots in VT in December with no one around is tough to beat. I was mother fucking pissed my camera broke because we would have had some majorly slutty pics. However with my sick MS paint skills I believe I can accurately depict the epicness that was Pico. Exhausted and elated we drove back to PA. BTW Rutland now has a Little Caesar's which is only the greatest pizza joint in the world.
-
Actually their skiing is alot better than any PA skiing, they have a semi serious set of mountains within roughly an hour. A kid died there a year or two ago as he was swept of the lift in an avi.
-
Solid solid work, total bs the more people don't comment.
-
This only happens if when the low slams into the high it flattens the high, most models actually show this storm tracking around PA. I pray to god this nukes us.
-
Ice-jacking in lift towers actually first occurred in a mountain in PA. Ooooh the tremblant gondy good luck.....
-
Update: It was ice-jacking or less simply Tower 4 is a two section tower with solid flanges connecting the two pieces. The lower section somehow filled with water which froze and forced the flange off the top of the bottom section of the tower. The haul rope deroped off towers.

Shit happens...

Both the 6-10 and 8-14 day forecasts from the CPC look good with colder than normal temps, hopefully things will turn around.

Intuition liners my friend, it would also help if we knew what boots you are rocking. Plugs in general just aren't going to be super comfortable, the liners are thin and the shell is wicked stiff. Riding park for instance, on Dober's or WC 150's is asking for trouble. If you already have them try to pick up a lower flex pair, plugs can be lots of fun when you need to crank turns. That said a boot in the 100 flex should be fine for free riding and park unless your a fatty or have horrible mechanics. I have a bunch of boots that are used for different things, I've worn one pair for as many as four days consecutively, only time I took them off was to sleep. Not great but not bad at all.

8" to 10" overnight at stowe, mostly mashed with some crunchyness. Good time for sure but not what I was looking for, maybe Jay tomorrow. Word is most of lower Vt. is closed due to icing. Killy, Slokemo, Mt Slow, Bromley all closed.
-
1-2" last night Word is a foot + is on the way - Havride was good this morning and we may check on what is going on in the gondy area - gondy no running
-
I will let you know, if my cousin comes I will have some pics too. He unemployed so I can't imagine he's busy.

The little america is like 100 buck a night and is pretty damn nice for what you get. That is in SLC on 600 so its close to some shit. The Pavilion is supposed to be nice and wicked cheap like as low as 60 bucks a night but I've never stayed there. It is in the Murray Cottowood heights area so it is close to the skiing. Homestead is in Mid-valley and is as cheap as it gets, as far as I know, maybe 50 a night. Its pet friendly and maybe 15 miles from BCC/LCC, word was that it wasn't great but I don't know personally. There is an Extended Stay that is wicked close in Union that is in the 60's but its run down. Clean but noisy and the furniture feels like it was purchased in the FDR era. There are a butt ton of cheap options in Sandy, S. Jordan and Airport area but I don't know anything about them. DH may know.

what a weird storm......me thinks someone at NOAA is drunk.
-
What's happening is that some features have set up that force storms to stay west of the apps and push warm air up ahead of them then once they pass, the cold air sloshes back in behind them. Three times since october this has happened, hopefully the system will change and we can get a more regular season.

No love for Palmerton ?

The models keep on changing in terms of when the precip will get here and what type for points further north. Right now it looks like you can get in early, I'm going to bet if you check tomorrow morning they will have a better idea. Lets hope it gets here super fast with this cold air over place it would be an epic storm.
