Johnny Law replied to the kid with no poles's topic in Bear Creek
Nice...Inside or on the deck ?I like the deck drinking. -
I will have to try that some time on a good pow day I think it could make for some cool pics and hauling the full camera job around some days is a PITA. There is a chinese camera that was made years ago with a plastic lens that takes very cool pictures, I would like to pic one up but I can't remember the name.

Snow melt is pretty low right now, rain will suck but nobody really knows what will happen past three days. The parking lot last night was empty bleachers, hopefully more peeps will show up this weekend. -
Sweet TR....I don't know what camera you used but I like the way it kind of made them look old school.
-
I lol'd POTD for sure!

I see you went to the Alannis Morresette school of irony, rest assured that fact that you think he is a tool and he called you a tool isn't ironic.

I've slept in pretty much everyone's lot the only place that hassled me in VT was Stowe so I just use the grocery store lot. CO now they give you a hard time.

More media, more quality TR's like this one are what this site needs.

Absolutley and be honest you aren't joking. I can't believe this is even a debate......

Totally sick!!! That little snow bridge in the third pics makes for insanely cool pics. I don't understand how this gets three replies where as bitching about sno or camelback gets 100

Kind of............ Ski is right, to a certain degree in that the highest performance skis and therefore most inovations come from racing. I think though even he would agree that up until a certain point in time there were far more pedestrian concerns in terms of binding function and ski design that were pushing the tech. There are certain things racing skis had jack shit to do with, reverse camber reverse sidecut jobs and twins for example, granted they have limited use but they came out of the more freeride orientied scene. Still most inovations came from people wanting to go faster, Park skis are essentially ancient technology in that it comes down to mostly sandwich, wood core skis that are durable and have thicker reinforced edges and higher ratios of cyrstaline structure in the sintered bases. Racing bases on the other hand are crazy, one team may have thirty different bases with all kinds of shit in them and all kinds of different ratios. whereas most production skis come from 3 standard bases and all that is just one small example. It seems to me what you both are really talking about is racing vs freestyle, which, like sking vs snowboarding discussions are stupid. While it may be possible for one to exist without the other both are vastly better with the other in the sport. What is really scary is that we owe a metric ton to freeheelers, uhhh I can't bare the thought.

weak.......IFSA goes in almost anything......I get there is a difference but still shitty

Presure too is huge, in soft snow you can throw a ton of pressure into the edges and the snow will compact. With ice you need to put far less pressure on the edges but maintain the track of the ski. Body movement against the carve accomplishes this, just watch racers real race courses are a sheet of ice.

OH Shit I've been elsewhere so I haven't been up in a while ......hope he heels up quick one of the most solidly cool guys in the state.

We have to find a good way to civily fight back perhaps make our own stickers and put them on those stupid white buggies security runs around in. A could of peeps in Manayunk did that a few years ago, it was hilarious to see Parking Auth. cars with ASSHOLE stickers.

Shit I didn't realize it was such a steal the five day sounds sweet and I could spend a day at Burke and Magic. Do you have to use them consecutivley?

Noice !!!

It was his first real attempt and I bet he could give you a run for your money on a Nastar course. Doesn't Stowe switch over soon?

Those liability waivers don't mean shit, there is no way bear would let randoms work. The cost increase of insurance would make it more cost effective to just employ more people.

Deer Valley sounds like that place for you. They groom like it is their ticket to heaven, long trails that are easy to go fast on and plush accomidations. If you want to step it up a little DV would be ok for that too. DV is in Park City not SLC so there is a ton of stuff to do with really nice resturants and bars. The best part is unlike CO, DV is at most an hour from the airport. Whistler is a crap shoot, good weather and it can be magical but rain can and does fuck that up alot. I guess if money isn't and issue look at Euro, St. Anton or Cham would really rock your world and they have realllllllyyyyy long trails. Food and drink are top notch and the hotels can get as fancy as you like.
