  1. Today was sooo dope I've just arisen from my post pph nap. Snow was light-years better than yesterday, switch second run the skis were just all gas where you can get nice air off the two ledges and come out to main feeling like you couldn't possibly go any faster. Side was so nice full width where you can really push on the lower section. Pph as always was most excellent though it was a little bit like taking Wayne Gretzky to play at the rink in Vorhees with Enjo. Super super super good day and another super reserection of the snow. Mad vibes to the person getting flighted, super sobering and I feel like it's been awhile.
  2. How was the loaf ?
  3. No way I think that's were I'm at too. I was remiss not to mention best part of the day was the tarpon indiggio crew doing pre opening patrol work on TCS. For a second my mind couldn't comprehend what it was seeing.
  4. Probably the worst snow of the season which is saying something as switch and main were still very good. I might be biased too as I made a poor choice of skis and had little edge grip on the left ski under the boot from the lineup. Hopefully after tonight it will improve some when it gets another groom but it was way better than I thought it would be and it's not that bad but we have been crazy spoiled. I'm going to WV of all places next weekend so it will snow for sure in PA. I do wish they would end the stupid cross on lower side.
  5. My blind ass never saw her, toast told me afterwards but had I known we could have really slutted it up. She was right in the corner turn on side but I had no idea
  6. Proper fucking night with the lads, bashing gates and drinking beers. Conditions for a perfect warm weather night were good and everyone was throwing down. Props gotta go to mbike though for qualifying for nationals and to Glenn for finding his goggles and someone else's. I spent a ton of time in the park at bear so maybe I'm biased but I say they have the best lodge game in PA.
  7. I thought today was pretty good, better snow than yesterday and first run down Challenge was very good and consistent. Not a huge fan of the skiff on razors but it will probably mix in nice. Also they flattened out some of the rollers on the bottom of side which were awesome and replaced them with tiny shit ones on the bottom of razors. Switch is real good but the Monroe transfer to lower main is spicy if anyone is heading up later. That's a good picture for me and for before noon but my favorite is he was on a bit of a secret mission and your like yo let me get your picture 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Also that dude was kinda agro in the line like all up on my shit and pushing even though he was solo and we were in a group so I thought he earned a little razing. Plus that style is the exact opposite of being cool.
  8. What's up man ? Good to see your back. It's 7 out of 10 I'd say, my personal rating would be an 8, Ridge probably a 9; Atomic a 6. It's very good playful snow but it's not hammer down hyper carving kind of stuff.
  9. Got on the snow around 930 to the sixer running which is always a good sign. 20 or so but full sun made it mad comfy. Snow is a bit crunchy but mostly good firm hardpack. Upper headwalls of razors and challenge were good crumbles where you can give it 3/4 edge pressure plus there are two sort of lips that are perfect for high speed airs. Upper main was the best snow on the hill but lower is sloppy in a classic blue way. Side has probably the worst snow with some patches, particularly the very very inside left of the big turn is boilerplate. Oddly there were almost no pass holders around, the whole time the plebe line was to the gates but ride on the lift vip. I maybe saw BFG but all of the old heads where I only know their skis and faces must have rocked hard last night.
  10. Resurrection of the best kind, I think this is rando storm 3 ? Regardless it was absolutely perfect timing to avoid a luge track. Snow underneath was not great and it got crowded fast but who cares TCS, switch, NMDW where all excellent un/low tracks. Charles's dad chili, snow, super bowl all lead to a super good level of energy in the air.
  11. Their new permit is for a quadrilateral subway funicular, stations are upper lodge; main ski patrol shack, valley lodge and multiple drop zones across the ridge/tuts. Rather than create Railroad crossings on Razors, NMDW and tuts lane they've drawn inspiration from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and have secured the Chunnel Tunnel TBM,s to go subterranean thus five subway stations are planned to allow a rider to drop in anywhere across the ridge. No word yet on if a dining car will be available but it was confirmed on pow days the caboose will be used for cat skiing
  12. Super hyper good day in the warm. Good snow is king but pretty good snow with warm ass Temps after a month of Antarctica is sooo good. Just nice to be comfy taking the gloves off. Snow is good light freeze thaw, upper main again was very very good snow and even the stuff that had some crumbles they were at least blue cheese rather than full cookie. Crowded obviously but let them all show up today and have it be quieter for the luge training in the morning. The lot is always tits Mcgee but absolutely killer beer and I feel way more comfortable when I can wear flops
  13. I'll be there both hoping Sunday the superb owl thins the herds a little
  14. Vibes dude ++++++ You'll be back killing it before no time and you've already skied more than most do in 2 seasons.
  15. It's a cool place, like a cross state blue. There are like 16 lodges and the triple side was Jack frost kinda short but the trails under the main quad were great.
  16. It's going to be hot af alot of places thus weekend, large parts of CA will probably break records. That air pattern is supposed to show back up next week and the Climate Prediction Center said above average Temps for Feb. That doesn't actually mean a whole lot, beyond 5 days out they might now it's probably going to be warm but they might as well pick the numbers from a hat.
  17. Definitely not Clifton Heights I know the zoo
  18. No boot, it was honestly nbd except it was two respect my authority types. I swore he said Newtown Square but steeze thought he said something like New Hamilton which I have never heard of. If there is any takeaway it's evidence 9399949399292 that cops lack higher level brain power to understand the Golden rule but I do wish vtmark would have been there to call him out on his taticool plate holder. Snow on main was 11 out of 10, just perfect but everything else you can start to feel those freeze thaw cycles coming through. Razors was really good, switch has alot of weird lips and shit where the ski drops but is otherwise good. I have been impressed generally when I've expected shit snow they've done well so here's to hoping.
  19. Your going to have to start locking them now that everyone knows. Ask GSS about leaving them unlocked. In VT they'll leave the car running forever if it's cold. Grocery shopping half the cars will be running with no one in them.
  20. I think we went to high-school at the same time or you were before me but you are definitely right. Peeps regularly brought guns to school in their cars for hunting season. The war on covid is like the war on drugs, you lost drugs won. Not because of drugs or covid but because of the shit floating around in people's heads after 200 years of essentially a country who's economic system and grand plan for society is all your problems are group x so fuck those freeloaders and get out of society. Turns out those people be them prisoners or mexicans don't just instantly stop existing and surprise surprise we are actually all in this together. So if your neighbors are dumb fucks it turns out it effects everyone even rich people and people you don't agree with philosophicaly. Maybe I'm crazy but if so called socialism of some things keeps the place from going completely insane that's worth it to me.
  21. The Temps are sooooo nice, it got to like 30 and I'm sweating balls. With the sun it's like Orlando out there
  22. FKNA thats some sweet fucking stoke ! Looks like prime conditions and damn enjo you were ripping HARD
  23. Got on the snow around 940 to the sixer and quad running. First run was down challenge which was so bad I was surprised they dropped the rope. Brutally firm snow but the real issue is its lumpy af with huge trenches and what can only be described as lumps. I like bad snow but it was just break your leg bad not fun at all. Razors is exactly the opposite, slightly firmer than Monday but super consistent hammer down snow. They did build risers for the race kids and at least this morning there was gates and shit laying qround everywhere so keep your eyes peeled. I would say I don't know know how you couldn't see them but someone proved me wrong on that a few years back. TCS, switch and main are nearly as good though the freeze thaw snow is just starting to show up. Side was getting full sun and it's such a nice trail when you can see it. Low crowds and perfect weather make it a very nice day on the hill.
  24. Uneventful in snow sports is a good thing Bear has such a nice setup even the nastar flag is fancy
