  1. Today was so good, really really good snow, excellent lot shenanigans and major bonus points for a roadside America reference. Excellent vibe all day and I was super impressed with the chalky blown over the bumps on coming soon. The trench skiers left is getting deep but maybe a shame the best guns on the hill are being used to make bumps. Tits Mcgee seeing everyone, a Glenn and edge day was unexpected on the coldest day of the year so far.
  2. The widowermaker midway lower main line is awesome once the other side opens and you can get a clear run with decent snow. The last little pitch of raceway into the roll over on midway always makes you want to check speed at least for a millisecond. Warm and the snow was so good on main and pretty good elsewhere. So nice to have switch back even if the snow was just ok. They even ran both chairs. Tomorrow is going to test the stiching on my clothing but this has been a very good stretch of snow for blue. Basically since it's gotten cold all they've done is open trails and within two or three days the snow has been quite good.
  3. What's that Seinfeld thing when your girl is arguing with your friend......Do I want to be right or see this girl naked again ? On principle I would say ski but I'm also addicted to titties so I can definitely understand the dilemma. Different strokes I say.....also I'll be there all days, peeps better sack up for Saturday
  4. With coming soon being a legit trail for the first time I don't think there is a good answer outside of run both. I would think the sixer is more reliable but not blowing onto the quad will help alot
  5. Benm and I skied this morning, cold but warm super cold with good sun and no wind Razors first run was OK but after that the upper headwall was a mine field of cookies. Lazy was near western groomer and main outside of where the pipe burst was very good. Personally best part of the day they only ran the sixer which made coming soon skate to. It wasn't bad at all, maybe a minute or two and then it only had like 3 tracks at 10am. Guns where on the main headwall which kinda skunks it but I say that's the best way to run.
  6. Flying can be stupid annoying and like everything else some of the employees are so dumb it's hard to comprehend but it is still flying. The alternatives aren't really alternatives and your still riding along half way to space drinking a soda and watching tv. It's so dope we totally take it for granted. Luggage on a ski trip can be a real pain in the ass but that's also on the skier. Fly with one kit and the essentials that are hard to rent carry on or your asking for trouble eventually.
  7. Switch is still top 5 trails on the hill...they gotta run the sixer the quad is down every 20 min. Maybe going to try to get up in the morning tomorrow, mad work shit but I got the itch
  8. Coming soon has an experts sign right so run the sizer and make it skate to terrain Monday through Thursday mornings. The quad won't run as the main valley chair all season
  9. It was soooo nice to get out and ski and main street was pretty nice snow to put the hammer down. They should have pretty much everything open this weekend as they were blowing the fuck out of everything not open. Only thing I didn't get to was the titties deep on widowmaker.
  10. They key difference between ikon and epiq is how they are run and the setup. Ikon is alot of Kls alterra which are running essentially the same old skiing model which is real estate. In that case if you devalue the skiing you devalue the real estate. Additionally much like blue or Killy or 10000 other places when they aquire they do so more surgically and retain far more of the in place workers. They are private and do not have to report numbers so quietly throwing money at people totally works. Epiq is public and has to report numbers so they are alot more hesitant to put money on the table to have the essentials run and the union thing makes them piss their pants. They are straight up Corp style, extract every last crumb of value by consistent aggressive cost cutting and bare bones running. Rumor is VR is building a response Ski Patrol to go to PCMR or Vail if something happens there LOL LOL
  11. Absolutely, I'm dying to get out, Tuesday I think is the only morning I have work shit. Maybe it's a good thing and hopefully everyone gets it and shit can chill then for a hot minute.
  12. This far out better to be out of the bullseye, it still has to show rain, ots, show 48" in Manhattan and then come back to reality but that's a shiton of moisture.
  13. All good in the hood, my 97 year old aunt got it so some running around but she at least so far just has like normal cold. Nobody in my immediate family has it but like 1/3 of the people I talk to including work have rona right now lol lol
  14. Powder mtn left myself and maybe 6 others at the powder country spot, after 2hrs or so I started walking an eventually got a ride but like gss said it's not uncommon
  15. I would imagine ice on the haul was making havoc when they went to detach. Fixed grip has their place because they almost always run.
  16. Super jelly I missed Saturday but rona got in the way, the weather was perfect and I knew it would be a good lot session
  17. Sick bird !!!!!! So jelly, I'm heading up later but my daughter wanted to sled this morning which was dope but I was definitely thinking of coming soon.
  18. I'll be there Saturday and maybe Sunday if the weather is good.
  19. We were all og night session peeps and while it's super nice to ski on a Tuesday morning the night session still has its place. The snow is fast and a 9pm beer post night skiing is Palmerton champagne
  20. Damn quad is crowded AF but keep an eye out for Matt edge
  21. FKNA ! Sick pictures and i love your story telling. Isn't Schilthorn near there ? My recollection is that's the highest in that area.
  22. Toast I think pointed out there is half a path cut already from homestretch up towards p dis. They should extend it, mow down a 12ft wide path next to p dis that is the coming soon return. Straight through the trees and let it get those speed bump style humps. It would be like a Jerry trap and maybe thin the numbers coming off coming soon into p dis.
  23. Today was le tits and felt like real mtn skiing. The new trail is fantastic with significant girth and tons of line options. Personally at the moment I like the wip; go far right up the knob before the last pitch set the arc at a super attack and come plunging into the last pitch all dick out shits on fire yo. The optics of the trail are super good, great views and it looks nice while skiing. Some how I forgot all this after skiing it last year but it's different as a groomer. Right side upper main was glacial but wad irrelevant with coming soon. Tom Petty all day kinda skiing.
  24. Rode from 6 to 830, was surprised how good the snow was on lazy and lower main. Looked for mute but never saw him somehow with only 3 ways down but the beer fairy left me a tasty treat. The lights on coming soon look super nice and it will be beyond nice to have some more trails. They were pushing our p dis and it looked like a straight up boulder field so a couple of inches could really help.
  25. I'm heading up for a raw session, expecting it to be straight dog shit but hopefully fun bad
