That's so fucking sick !!! PA lines are so cool because they are soooooo rare. Bravo 👏👏👏

Elk you can close your eyes and fall down like any pa Hill. Knob your crashing into a rock, tree or the mid mountain Jimmy buffet themed bar or the school bus in the terrain park the kids smoked weed in. It's the polar opposite of Elk. If elk is skiing in Vermont like stowe, the knob is magic. It's the crack head brother of PA skiing and if you like that kind of thing, maybe platekill is the next closest but that's almost too clean. Magic I think is the closest other place that is so rowdy.

Good to hear ! With a little bit of money it could be even more amazing but is in a bad spot. East wall glades would challenge any skier, at least back in the day they were boney as fuck. This and your Catamount TR are super cool and I love small unique areas. Suicide six is on the indy pass and if your coming back from Jay or something its cool af. The front pitch is short but steep and the trees skiers left and far right are pretty good for 600 ft. Its small so only if your in the area but worth a stop for the history alone plus maybe the coolest name in skiing. Pats peak too in NH is a wild little hill, for awhile the only eastern skier in the fwt was from pats peak.

Holy shit I didn't see this, I loooove the knob and was actually talking about it with NM and Atomic tonight. Super cool tr from a serious underrated place. How about stemboggen ? That shit cracks me up but the glades and extrovert and east wall glades are legit. I used to go there alot when my cousin went to Penn St toon town and the logging roads up there are legit too. Did they get a sign yet ? It's been awhile but last time I was there the access road had a piece of cardboard that just said ski with an arrow. That road is sketchy af with weather and my cousin said he saw a car go off when he was in college. Driving up it in snow makes blue Mt drive feel like pch. The last right I think it is and you can breath again.

Not my first time there too but from a helicopter it's totally different. To see telluride like that was insane. I don't have a foggy lens, the windows are light plastic on choppers so not perfectly clean but you get the point.- 453 replies

The interesting thing is some are desperate to go back to normal whatever that means and I don't think people are generally aware how much a large % will push back because they like this life style better. I'm not talking just about remote work but alot of people don't want to ever leave their house and do shit and rona made them a hero. There is going to be alot of people that are going to have a hard time reintegrating into society. Ultimately though the humans as islands would fail, there is a reason why things were a certain way.

No way people are wearing masks for years, you have until June and then people are done.

While I'd hope for a sharp decline I think it's going to be a gradual decline until the end of summer.

Today was beyond words, the excitement just going to the airport was all time and when our bird flew over I think my dick moved. The scenery is unrivaled and I spent both flights glued to the windows. It's hard to pick a favorite skiing experience, the stupid fun at blue, stupid deep days out west, great adventures in the woods but this maybe my favorite and I got wicked sick. I don't puke like ever and I puked 4 times in the parking lot when we got back. I don't think it was altitude, I was definitely huffing but that's pretty normal and it doesn't jack with your stomach. Maybe the sushi but I came back to the ski mansion and spent some time with the porcelain throne and still maybe my favorite day ever. That's how good it was, Silverton if you like that kind of thing is something everyone should do. The views alone are worth the trip and while I have extra motivation to get back having seriously disappointed myself it was one of those days I'll remember super fondly for the rest of my days. Super shout out to Cincy, I didn't get to say adieu formally but the heli pics and video are super cool.- 453 replies

Today was the amuse bouche of skiing. When NM told me it snowed I almost couldn't believe it and today normally would be a super super good day but with tomorrow looming it was the perfect appetizer. I don't know how I'll ever sleep tonight. -

Today was sick, in running out of superlatives for the skiing this week. Crowds got crazy but that was expected, shit is skiing like western groomers so I can't blame them.

Boner city ! Can't wait to see you out there -
I do indeed though I'm actually a 27.5 my feet are weird and my sloth like nature is all about comfort. Quick skis though again most of my stuff is longer radius. Very very stiff tails that at low speeds can get caught in the train tracks type feeling. Really want a forward sort of stance and to be driven, shovels are at least a little softer than the tails. Very stable, super damp bordering on too damp but super predictable ski which is what I gather makes people super into them. They are super fun but the snow was so good Monday a 2x4 would have worked so I'm not yet sure about the edge hold with them being flat and they are very light, almost head kore kinda light. I want a pair of dps 124 lotus next but those I'll put demos on so lots and lots of people can ride them as I'm probably not lucky enough to need pow boards like that regularly.

Sticks are good but string is more durable and strip is by far the best. It doesn't flow as nice as sticks but if you have a gun or pencil and let it get real hot flows nice
-
Hell no that's the picture, on the line but it is forward of other similar skis. My favorite ski ever is the LP's I ski it alot to this day but almost all my skis are 27+ radius kinda territory. The corvus I was looking for something that skis like the LP and is shorter radius plus I always wanted to own a pair of crows to check them out.

Only the second one is a love tap, you could throw a smidgen of ptex down so they don't grind them so much when you next get them ground but those are just babies. Core shots or where it pulls the ptex and drags you gotta get fixed but that can all just be taken care of next tune. Atomic would flip about those edges though lol Sideways movements across rocks especially when applying downhill leg pressure is the big damaging movement ie coreshots, edge pullout that kinda shit. When it's thinner you can try to pick your spots where your really putting in leg but they are skis so my thought is rip it and fix them latter.

You need that but ski fast finger blast

It wasn't even a good send, falls was pretty uneven, the winch cat is busted and stuck on the crossover. I had half a mind to want to go back up and really giver, if I'm going to be yelled at about something I want to have least earned it.
-
Yes it's still open with an experts only sign. Very good packed pow with some rando fluff around. Some boomer was given shadows the business about the lift line and then last run another even older dude came over to talk to me about the falls. 🙄🙄🙄 I swear it's the same random every year that feels the need to hunt me down in the lift line to talk about falls. Part of me wants to chase him down in the line and lecture him about how shitty he skis but I lack his over inflated sense of entitlement.
-
I was up this morning with shadows it wasn't too bad. This weekend will be nuts but even in a$$pen or JH the snow brings mad people out.
-
I just left and crowds weren't too bad, 6 run an hour type skiing. What your getting is very rare, very good snow in pa. Dry light snow of meaningful quantities is exceptionally rare here. This morning the groomers were western like and the last days saw exceptional shenanigans with friends all over the mtn. If you can't see the inate undeniable fun that comes with 2ft if fresh you should take up stamp collecting or yelling at clouds.

What did the patroller say the 2nd time we went coming soon ? My method is to pretend I can't hear and keep going because odds are they won't chase but I legit couldn't make out what he was yelling about and the guy at the bottom said nothing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Perfect video, it captures the hype and feelings perfectly !
