  1. I normally buy my pass the first day so 600$ is whatever, one year I can remember paying 729$ l do wonder if it's not a little bit of big for your britches syndrome. This year is different because they are in a pandemic and near population centers but next year is a whole new ball game and my gut says demand falls but who knows.
  2. Alas I don't have many details to give but some kid named Mike who I saw last night too had a big ass bag from McDonald's. He was chowing down on a McChicken and handing them out to his friends before loudly asking the sizeable line if anyone wanted a McChicken. A random all the way on the other side got the first one air mailed to him. Then after a second of thought I realized I did want a McChicken and he handed me one. I asked his name and then agreed with his friend that Mike was a legend and then I got on the lift never to see him again enjoying a delicious chicken sandwich. Wherever you are Mike keep handing out McChickens ! You are a God damn American legend, a chicken sandwich Jesus !
  3. That is the most technical skiing in existence lol with no water below you wouldn't even think about it but knowing a cold plunge awaits any error it's treacherous af ! Looooooove the hats !!!!
  4. They shut the quad down at 730 so it only lasted 30 mins or so and then I went to ride the double. Their was a kid handing out McChickens in the sixer line which was quite tasty.
  5. I'm riding the six with nearly no line, the after dinner crowd has peaced out and the snow is delightfully uneven.
  6. Many moons ago you used to be able to get discount tickets at Utah ski and golf which had alot of locations. Their basin discount was big. I have no idea if they still do that.
  7. I was keeping an eye out for you tonight, I haven't seen you all season some how.
  8. Tonight was super good !!!! I do still wish they were open to 10 but it cleared out by 8 and no more lift lines. They did stop running the quad around 730 which is a bitch ass move that made the sixer line stupid long but the dirty double had no line. Snow was perfect soft unevenness, fast but little airs all over the place and junk snow skiing. I haven't skied many nights and forgot how fun it is when the snow is good bad. It was warm and I was super thirsty leaving so super shout out to the beer fairy who l left a most delicious beer for me ! Cough mute cough lol
  9. The blank is made in Vietnam, the patch or lettering is made in Vail. If you follow them on the gram you can see their sewing machines and them putting them together.
  10. I'm actually maybe going to VT this weekend so I think I may have to file for funemployment. Atomic being a man of good taste and in the know had a custom first and I like that his is spicy. They make great gifts I got a custom for my aunt that says Gorschitz which is too long to explain but she loved it. I'm a big fan of ski Town all Stars so maybe I'm biased but 50$ for a full custom seems cheap. It's a nice enough hat and they aren't making 50000 of the same ones in China, they are making one in Vail.
  11. I had work stuff and couldn't be up for opening and am going to attempt a night session. Hopefully it's not insanely crowded, good to hear they got the quad running. Even with all the lift issues this year it's not as bad as previous seasons.
  12. What did you think of international? Thats one of the best anywhere I think.
  13. Last year if I remember right the first leader board had people short like 20 days and what not so grain of salt.
  14. I do agree traders see Biden as being less pro oil than Trump and have factored that into pricing. I'm saying that is one of a number of reasons. The TX interruptions, the lack of investment in drilling over the last decade, most of the major players 2 weeks ago announced that they belive they have hit peak oil. ANWR, pipelines etc do not impact supply now and now events are what create steep price fluctuations. Additionally when the price is rising lots of players will hold off on moving it off the boat as everyday you wait you've now made more money. Oil outside of maybe orange juice futures is maybe the most complicated market on earth, sometimes it moves on nothing but emotion. All of this assumes the lowest possible gas price is a good thing which I would argue is not the case.
  15. We, meaning the US don't set crude oil prices and WTI is actually generally a little lower than Brent. Right now their is a 3 to 4 dollar spike because everything crude comes through Texas and all their issues have pinched supply. Just FYI any pipeline would be 5 to 10 years away and oil sands is some of the most expensive worst quality oil. We don't generally buy it as our refineries are old, along with sour crude from South America. Stuck on 476 for the last hour, I never understand how apparently so many people go out with no idea that it's going to snow.
  16. Snow was good this morning but full stop stuck on 476, people are so dumb be it not wearing masks or going out for a drive apparently having no idea it was going to snow. Its coming down nice and hard now.
  17. Unless your eating stuff local to where you are it's all frozen and shipped so location is irrelevant. Pretty much all the big eating fish are frozen and ship. Shit most of them aren't even what they say, we ate all the og Chilean sea bass and orange roughy years ago. Really good sushi in park city, Yuki Yama is my favorite in UT. If you go to DV the restaurant on the deck and inside the St Regis, Rime, has amazing oysters. Also the little Cafe at the top of the gondy is an oyster bar that is hyper good. If you do to DV definitely sit outside on the deck, get a good drink, truffle pizza, fries, and an order of oysters and you'll be loving life.
  18. The lift line to behind the race shack down to NWDW is a nice line. Mad stumps from behind the race shack to NWDW.
  19. Surprisingly no, I was 16 or 17 at the time and didn't have my first cig until I was 21
  20. I was interloged one time for 10hrs or so and I remember the Alta sheriff straight up arrested some dude who kept trying to go outside to smoke 🤣😂
  21. That's good skiing for sure and you should be super stoked you skied something you looked at years ago and went no way. I do have to say those skis in that line look like you stole your little brother's ski blades.
  22. Drive to blue was only crazy with the traffic, maybe my longest trip to blue ever. Drive home was way faster but it had mostly stopped snowing by then
  23. I'm famous ! Another favorite of mine is circumlocutious which means overly wordy 🤣😂🤣🤣
  24. Snow was going to be shit for sure. I'm still headed up tonight and tomorrow morning, gotta get whatever you can.
  25. That's super sick !!! Parts of that hill are super steep and end in sheer rock cliffs down to the rail road tracks. My daughter and I hike there alot and that was were I skied years ago. The best line I can think of is park at the end of Klapperthal behind the grave yard and go up like your going to the witches hat. As you go through the last of the switch backs and are walking across the ridge and are in the trees still you'll see natural drainages. The 3 or 4th one closer to where the trail comes out into the open up top where the cellphone tower is where the most clean. At the very bottom right at the tracks it gets very steep and cliffy but you can go straight out the train tracks back to west neversink road right at Massaro. Alternatively you can go all the way up and keep on the trail past the cell phone tower. Eventually you hit a road, neversink mtn or Ganter or Mtn top, I can't remember but go left and up and you'll run straight into the big diagnol power line cut. All that shit is thick with Mtn Laurel but I thought the drainages were better as the water sort of drags all that crap down the hill.
