  1. Today was sick, in running out of superlatives for the skiing this week. Crowds got crazy but that was expected, shit is skiing like western groomers so I can't blame them.
  2. Boner city ! Can't wait to see you out there
  3. I do indeed though I'm actually a 27.5 my feet are weird and my sloth like nature is all about comfort. Quick skis though again most of my stuff is longer radius. Very very stiff tails that at low speeds can get caught in the train tracks type feeling. Really want a forward sort of stance and to be driven, shovels are at least a little softer than the tails. Very stable, super damp bordering on too damp but super predictable ski which is what I gather makes people super into them. They are super fun but the snow was so good Monday a 2x4 would have worked so I'm not yet sure about the edge hold with them being flat and they are very light, almost head kore kinda light. I want a pair of dps 124 lotus next but those I'll put demos on so lots and lots of people can ride them as I'm probably not lucky enough to need pow boards like that regularly.
  4. Sticks are good but string is more durable and strip is by far the best. It doesn't flow as nice as sticks but if you have a gun or pencil and let it get real hot flows nice
  5. Hell no that's the picture, on the line but it is forward of other similar skis. My favorite ski ever is the LP's I ski it alot to this day but almost all my skis are 27+ radius kinda territory. The corvus I was looking for something that skis like the LP and is shorter radius plus I always wanted to own a pair of crows to check them out.
  6. Only the second one is a love tap, you could throw a smidgen of ptex down so they don't grind them so much when you next get them ground but those are just babies. Core shots or where it pulls the ptex and drags you gotta get fixed but that can all just be taken care of next tune. Atomic would flip about those edges though lol Sideways movements across rocks especially when applying downhill leg pressure is the big damaging movement ie coreshots, edge pullout that kinda shit. When it's thinner you can try to pick your spots where your really putting in leg but they are skis so my thought is rip it and fix them latter.
  7. I got some new skis and poles
  8. You need that but ski fast finger blast
  9. It wasn't even a good send, falls was pretty uneven, the winch cat is busted and stuck on the crossover. I had half a mind to want to go back up and really giver, if I'm going to be yelled at about something I want to have least earned it.
  10. Yes it's still open with an experts only sign. Very good packed pow with some rando fluff around. Some boomer was given shadows the business about the lift line and then last run another even older dude came over to talk to me about the falls. 🙄🙄🙄 I swear it's the same random every year that feels the need to hunt me down in the lift line to talk about falls. Part of me wants to chase him down in the line and lecture him about how shitty he skis but I lack his over inflated sense of entitlement.
  11. I was up this morning with shadows it wasn't too bad. This weekend will be nuts but even in a$$pen or JH the snow brings mad people out.
  12. I just left and crowds weren't too bad, 6 run an hour type skiing. What your getting is very rare, very good snow in pa. Dry light snow of meaningful quantities is exceptionally rare here. This morning the groomers were western like and the last days saw exceptional shenanigans with friends all over the mtn. If you can't see the inate undeniable fun that comes with 2ft if fresh you should take up stamp collecting or yelling at clouds.
  13. What did the patroller say the 2nd time we went coming soon ? My method is to pretend I can't hear and keep going because odds are they won't chase but I legit couldn't make out what he was yelling about and the guy at the bottom said nothing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Perfect video, it captures the hype and feelings perfectly !
  14. I don't know your drive but everything south of blue is in good shape, 476 is snow covered but real good. I don't know if you can go around some how but my car had zero issues, except for people driving too slow
  15. Shiiiiit, today was tits Mcgee and then some. The stoke was super high and first run down razors delivered but coming soon was what its all about. Meadow skipping start and then boom lower headwall, I can see toast with the pow bounce, Atomic was hooting the loudest I think I've ever heard, Ben getting blue pow day for the first time. It's definitely up there in memorable days. Best first run on a blue trail ever ! Ride home I even got a long stretch with no other cars, its soooo much better to drive without the kooks out there.
  16. My cousin had her baby so I'm out for Saturday
  17. I was up today from 11 to 130, really good snow and not super crowded. Razors and switch were mint, fast wetter snow that's smooth and has good grip. Upper main was the only shitty snow with a solid coating of cookies but only marble sized. I'm trying to get up tomorrow for open
  18. I was up in the afternoon as I couldn't do this morning, snow was good, weather is shit. I did about an hour and half and then called it as I was gross wet.

Challenge first thing was perfect cord, one of the best snows all year. Razors was slightly firmer but also had excellent grip. Switch was also good but blow over from main meant it was softer and slower. Really good morning to be out would have definitely liked to skip out of my 11 meeting. Saw justo and rose out when I was leaving and I was this close to staying.
  20. Saturday for sure, Sunday depends on how rowdy my brothers birthday is Saturday night
  21. How is this 5 pages and zero skiing has taken place ?
  22. Vail was one of the big firsts to try it and in Eurp they went pretty hard at it as they need some of the snow cover to keep glaciers in tact. The problem is it doesn't work, one you can't make it snow if its not already going to snow, at best you can make smaller storms bigger. Two storms and snow can go any which way, blue is small but we've all seen it snow a foot on MacArthur road and have 3 inches at blue now imagine something like that but with say the alps. Three its expensive and with little off the shelf technology whereas conventional snow making is the opposite. The magic would be conventional snow making but way higher up in the air with smaller water particles and nucleotides then you could get that up and down movement and make snowflakes rather than rods which skis infinitely better. I've always wondered how high you'd have to go, part of me says 500ft would probably make a difference but part says not. Pipe dreams anyways as it would be way too expensive for something that most people don't care at all about.
  23. I rode from 12 to 2, super windy but all the sun made it warm. Super choppy, the bottom of side i was 70% of the way to flavor country and had my first real solid recovery of the year. Razors was the best as it was good chop where you can make a 100 high-speed little airs and keep on trucking. Most of the snow they were blowing on the challenge headwall is ending up at the Cherryville car wash, heavy wind straight up the trail.
  24. Snow was way better than yesterday and the low crowds was absolutely spectacular....glad I didn't stay in bed
  25. Snow was pretty rowdy today but the lot and enjo's sublime cooking made it an excellent one to spend at blue
