I rode from 330 to about 6, snow was super fast night skiing stuff but way better grip than yesterday. Falls is still interesting with some bigger holes. The winch cat appeared to be broken down on the side of challenge as they had 3 cats trying to pull it out. Lift lines got wild around 430 and tons of dick tippers/ no mask at all. I'm not a rule stickler by default but 200 people butts to nuts with no line person half of which arent wearing any mask is asking for trouble

Work meetings meant i couldn't do opening so I figured afternoon session. Sun was shining and the Temp was super comfy. Snow was a dusting over absolute boiler plate which made for super fun shit snow skiing. Big ass full width root roller on homestretch is a nice touch though I like the lumpiness on sidewinder. Upper lot sucks, why be butts to nut just to get first tracks on Vista

I rode this morning with Ben M, they were blowing all over and first couple runs where an absolute carpet. Softer and drier than their normal slop for sure, it went to smaller cookies pretty quick after that. Big ass piles on NM/DW

Totally agree, its tragic that someone had to die for such stupidity. Absolutely nothing was accomplished. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same video but that women and parts of the mob were trying to break into the secure area that had pence. The capital building was designed to be open and transparent and is alot of glass. So when they started breaking though the glass they were repeatedly commanded to back off and when they didn't and that women tried to break through he shot her in the neck. The dude was scared af and I'm sure was amazed he even hit her but still you fuck with the VP I dont care who you are or what your politics are you should expect to get shot. They resisted shooting anyone until the last minute and then you shoot one person and hope the mob relents. Its all shitty business but again its the US capital building and the response is going to be way different than looting a target. The govt is fucked up because the country is fucked up because its people are fucked up because the society is sick. Govt is just people, just like you and me, the separation between the two is convenient but nothing more.

Its actually totally and completely against the law to run any kind of state boarder based enforcement. They haven't specifically gone to the supreme court on this rona issue but it's pretty clear you can't simply pull people over for having out of state plates and fine or detain them. You could likely talk to them and remind them of things like the governors quarantine order and what not but generally they haven't done any enforcement of said orders because if it goes it court they will lose and there goes their ability to threaten entirely.

The capital police established a perimeter but when they came to the conclusion that they either had to start shooting to maintain the perimeter or let them in they did not feel they had the forces necessary and fell back to the secured locations where senators,vp, etc were being kept. When the extremists tried to breach those locations they shot that women in the neck. You can see the guys hands shaking, its one dude with a pistol vs an angry mob. Once you can get swat, who needs time to assemble and probably had members in the mob, the national guard who was for some reason late (trump) then you can retake the building. In that operation arresting people is not the goal as your just trying to clear the building and get them to go home. Its politically speaking unwise to start shooting people who are in their own minds engaging in protest. You make martyrs out of them and increase their numbers and motivation. The whole thing is a bluff were both sides are trying to figure out how far the other is willing to go. If you have to shoot everyone you've already lost so what your trying to do is get them to go home. You can't just round up 1000 national guard dudes on the spot and dc is a mish mash of various jurisdictions and bull shit because its DC. You can determine intent by your own judgment but I think it's reasonable to assume the guy for which they were all their had something to do with the limited response, after all he loves them apparently.

Tours off the top of my head when they get snow. Usa bowl Roman's in Wolvey (you can cheat and go from brighton) Bear trap Fork Circle All peak Coalpit headwall Greens basin (stay in the tight trees) Only the coalpit and Roman's are more dangerous, the others are safer tours.

I will add DV does have tremendous accessories. The St Regis deck at 7452 has insanely good oysters and truffle pizza. Rime has bomber steaks. I dont often drink during skiing but they do have very fancy drinks, drink people proclaim the shit. Empire has the Veuve tent, their ski school is the bestest, they have an oyster and tuna tartare at the top of the gondy on the Jordanelle side. That's what DV is all about and if that's your thing nobody does it better but Pow Mow is chicken tendies and rusty pick up but both are worth your time.........but not the mint LOL

I'm here now, well DV but that's still park city the town. I've skied the canyons/PC maybe 7 times? Where as all the rest way way more. I've skied DV 3 days so far and Alta/Bird 1 and by far the snow at Alta is in everyway better than DV. You hate icy snow yes ? Than your favorite place all week would have been Alta by far. Two days back 1" at DV was 6 at Alta. Its all awesome and amazing but the snow is generally better in LCC/BCC though it always depends on the year. Sometimes Basin and Pow Mow do really well over the canyons and one year Sundance had the most snow with Timp. Everyone agrees though, even my family who has a house at Park City its good but not LCC/BCC. Do whatever vacation you want except the mint, that shit is lame. I'm just saying there is a reason people talk the talk about the bird or Alta or whatever. Today DV opened Empire for the season and my brother, cousin and I got 3 laps in all the H&R fluff and stuff they had on the ground so far pretty much by ourselves as we can get their before everyone else with the car. Thats what its all about to me but I do think the resorts are very different and my least favorite is Park city fwiw.

Sweet switchback is open, that's good shit so fast. All things considered this year I'm just stoked to ski in general.

I only had a short window with work but well worth the trip. Good snow and nice weather make it hard to leave.

Today was awesome ! Decent snow with some new stuff open and sausage Sunday!!! The pork belly was fucking unreal as always enjo killed it but the most impressive part was him crushing 19oz of pure American go go juice. I rode over NMDW last night and it looked to be about 50% of the way there on snow.

I rode tonight and they were blowing all over, mad shit should open soon...p diz looked chunky

The sky too is the perfect mix of grey with a little bit of bite to the breeze prime PA snow conditions. Somewhere in the snow corridor is going to over produce and get 2ft plus you can just smell it in the air

I got up around 11 and it was a super nice day out but sit ton of marbles everywhere. The place does look sooooo much better with snow on the ground..... can't wait to see what happens tomorrow !!
