Blue Marsh sucked and the people that ran it are such shit heads they killed two mountains, the other being Ascutney which had epic tree skiing. Laurel highlands was pretty cool for a smaller hill, gss will be happy to know I'm pretty sure they have or will throw something high speed up. The key to that area and Blue Knob is generally it snows alot, they can do 200" semi-regularly which is pretty dope for PA. The knob is covered with logging and snowmobile roads which are excellent with a little base, I don't remember such things at laurel but I only remember being their once.

This Ski2live, that is the way I see such things, I don't even agree with everything that I post let alone everybody else but the ban hammer is reserved for truly foul behaviour. We are all big boys here. That said sometimes the ban hammer is deployed here because sallys want to flex nuts.

Wind or solar power is not powering base loads that's NG, coal and nuclear, variable output production would be peak demand only. Regardless one can be for alternative energy and go skiing, I understand the point your making but one can like wind power for purely economic reasons that have nothing to do with saving the planet or whatever. Wind for example will be assuming increased generation as cheap if not cheaper than many conventional fuels, the EROEI and such is just factors better as your not expending nearly as much energy to produce a Megawatt aka the fuel comes to you. Additionally one can be pro environment and pro economics, the idea that these things are in opposition is pure lunacy, everything everyone has ever or will ever do is entirely and completely dependent on a incredibly specific relationship with nature. The single biggest threat to everything including our economic system is climate change and not because it's going to get too hot, 50million people live in Bangladesh, at best 1/3 are underwater within a decade or two. That's one country potentially sending 15million refugees to who the fuck knows were. That creates conflict, that disrupts an economic system that demands predictability, that introduces an entirely new level of resource competition in an area of the world that already has a metric fuckton of people. it's real bad shit for humans which includes economics and being fifthly rich. Ski areas use alot of juice relative to other things but even if snow was never blown again on planet earth it would have no effect on anything, it's pissing in the ocean. The drivers of energy use is the stuff everyone does all the time, your not using terrawatts blowing snow.

Music: First I only have some shitty cell phone pics, sorry but I'm currently in a no camera ski mode. For many years i was in camera mode but no longer maybe next year. This year in a lot of ways sucked hairy donkey balls, it didn't really snow and the temps where more variable than a drunk Russian on a tilt a whirl. That said it was also one of my most fun years, old people, new people coming together to have fun and i think the shit fuck snow actually created more fuckery which is always great. CO is the spiritual end to my season and with that in mind may I present to you a super quick tr. Friday and Saturday I skied WP it was excellent spring skiing. Sunday I skied Vail and stayed in a baller pad, the Kardashians were also there if your a fucking retard and care about that stuff Monday I skied Ajax and rode a bunch of next years skis. Tuesday is where the fun begins, weather looked like dog shit but at noon it started to come down in sheets. 6" was reported and the plan was on for the holy grail the bowl. Highlands is the best of A$pen and the bowl is the best part of Highlands if you disagree your wrong Stoked to get fresh bowl The trees past the weather station were for sure boner city but the center punch was untracked and considerably steeper so center punch it was. I sent my brother to White Kitchen and told him to send the cornice. hahahahha Because he's dumb and trusts me he sent it. Two lefts and we are picking up speed but the second I shifted weight to carve right the bent brake arm caught and the ski released and I kept going straight. This did not end well.....well mostly. Aspen Er is actually super nice and very fast, I left with a slightly deflated ego, weird patellar tendon and an upcoming trip to get meniscus looked at. I still skied today at highlands because again highlands is the shit and they do spring right. I took some runs then partied on the deck at cloud 9, took some more runs and then partied some more at highlands alehouse.
