Platty is a gnarly little hill. Steep top to bottom, no flat run out bs. Mad MTB trails, that connect into nice gladed sections. Sometimes it snows their alot. Have fun
  6. Last night was great, Razor's is a narwhal, I know it exists but I never see it. I've been at blue 34 days and rode it twice. Whatever, they seem to keep challenge in better shape since razors is never open. Challenge this year has been great.

  12. Whom ever posted about why night skiing, tonight was the answer. Snow was super fast and grip was truly perfect, hammer down on every trail fully confident lines with aggressive angulation with nobody home. Guitar I may have ran into your wife on the lift, pleasant conversation regarding the perils of racing. Hence if she mentions a lift creeper it was just me. While a degenerate my intentions were not nefarious.
  13. Eye candy on the models, EURO says 24" for reading and nearly 30 for LV, NEPA.....lol....Sunday into Monday storms are just not working this year so far and it's Miller B so it will probably slide north....

  19. I think blue and points north will do real well but its hard to go out on a limb after the last one.
  20. One is track, model runs have been consistently moving north, like the recent blizzard the cutoff between 1 foot and nothing is very tight. Specifics on track are short range high resolution models so Sunday during the day. It appears as of right now Philly gets the shaft maybe three inches while there is a foot at blue. Issue two is the NAM went way warm, rain line was i80. The warm air is not sufficiently resolved until the next NAM run and then only if it shows general agreement with the other models. Not saying this won't happen just to really watch this one as it could change very quickly. NWS and others are blending model runs and for now ignoring the 48hr NAM run. The EURO was the trusted winter model and after its recent performence nobody is quite sure what to believe. I'm assumed off Monday too but gotta really watch this guy. 11pm Sunday is roughly the start time.
  21. Major issues with this storm, they are in the model runs but not yet in the forecast got to pay attention to this one.
  22. All of Reading is a Mexican neighborhood, they are fine mostly. I just can't figure out why we don't have better tacos.....
  23. In 1733, the site of present day Reading was chosen. It was set at the intersection of two great valleys, the east Penn-Lebanon Valley and the Schuylkill river. This site was known as Finney's Ford until 1743 when Thomas Lawrence, a Penn Land agent, made the first attempt at the layout for Reading. In 1748, the town was laid out by Thomas and Richard Penn, the sons of William Penn. The name was chosen after Penn's own county seat, Reading, in Berkshire, England. In 1752, Reading became the county seat of Berks county. During the French and Indian war, Reading became a military base for a chain of forts along the Blue Mountains. The local iron industry, by the time of the Revolution had a total production that exceeded that of England, a production that would help supply Washington's troops with weapons including cannons, rifles and ammunition. During the early period of the war, Reading was again a depot for military supply. Hessian prisoners from the battle of Trenton were also detained here. Reading bore it's appropriate burden during many wars including the Civil War and World War II. The Early part of the 19th century witnessed the great turnpike and canal era, succeeded by the building of the Reading Railroad, radiating in all directions from the City of Reading. The construction of the railroad was probably the single greatest factor in the development of Berks county. Agriculture is an important industry in Berks County...the largest and finest farms are in the southern part of the county. Berks ranks 3rd among all Pennsylvania counties in cash receipts from agriculture which total $73.9 million. Income derived from dairy production is $29.3 million; field and forage crops $25.7 million; poultry $10.2 million and meat animals $8.7 million.
