Switchback was total dog shit..COOKIES......Challenge was the best, Razors a little more chunky. Riding new skis and I had weird grip going all night, one run down challenge and I got perfect, next run with a similar line no grip......gotta be a tune issue but man was that weird.

They generally blow pretty crap snow so not surprising. Blowing on Sidewinder, Dreamweaver and upper main st. Groomer working on the lower parks. Next time it's likely to be over 30 is Wednesday. Everything should be open this weekend with the exception of features on Sidewinder.

I hope it works out, timing is nice, lot's of cold to get everything open and then a nice natural storm would be titty sparkles.......looks like we are right back into the freezer after but the EPO is going positive which probably kills the chance for snow for most of the rest of Jan.

Next serious chance for 6"+ is around the 13th-15th, a pattern change is necessary for real snowfall. It very rarely snows in PA when it's this cold. 190hrs out but models have consistently shown 6"+ in this time frame.

Rode tonight, was better and worse than yesterday. Better snow, not as smooth. Who cares because they are blowing the fuck out of the hill. Razors is ready, Burma is ready, challenge has piles up to the guns. They started blowing on switchback and tomorrow is the coldest night. After 6 long weeks were going to get a bunch all at once.

Rode tonight......was crunchy. Old race trail was total shit, pdise and lazy were ok but main st was awesome. Smooth and wicked fast. Layer underneath was boiler plate but they threw down a few inches which really helped. Blowing crazy amounts on razors and tubing. Connectors were going too, no signs of life on Dreamweaver. Guns on switchback were hooked up maybe there next. Razors and Burma looked ready to go. I assume they'll finish tubing and then use that capacity for Dreamweaver but who knows. For sure, king is ok without a free heal. Previously we always skinned up to crag camp which puts you close to the bowl but is a major suffer fest particularly leaving. We decided to try camping near the base of King, this would mean the heavy in would be two miles of pretty flat terrain which 99% of the time would be fine in sneakers. King has as many as maybe a 12 lines but it's heavily snow dependent. Lines are steeper and techy but you guys will be fine. We normally go in friday morning scope some lines and make a run or two. Sat we ski all day and Sunday we exit and drive home. Pace is pretty laid back and it's 99% democratic, excluding snow stability.
