Brown was coming through a couple of places down low, Friday's low is 22 so they should be able to fix some spots, weather sucks next week but it won't close them just no new trails for awhile. NAO and AO are going way negative, cold air returns with a wallop, dec 30/31ist highs won't climb out of the mid 20's.....book it.

They lost a bunch down low, Monday brown was coming through up top near the sixer, they may be running the quad out of necessity. Temps are just on the edge, production won't be great but they should get some time in this week to freshen shit up. Maybe snow Saturday......

They sell alot of them.... The super is a solid everyday western ski, the pintail is a failure but it's solid. The lower part of the lineup I never liked, a bunch of noodles. The Squad 7 however is a vast vast improvement on the rest of the line, flat square tail, easy big ripper carving and super stable. Again though the pow performance is lacking. My western skiing at the moment is an april dealio with the fam, figured these should be good for groomers that vary from firm cord to spring slop and if it snows they should do better in the heavy wet pow.

One time head first, ski was caught in the tree branches and pinned my legs sort of behind my head. Scary as fuck when all that snow starts pouring in around your face but if you just do nothing your generally ok, once I took 20 seconds to chill the fuck out I could unhook the skis and sort of climb up the tree trunk.

Tree wells too, that initial feeling just makes your brain go to panic mode

Rode last night. Good -> FAST, empty, mad comfortable Bad-> Patrolers were doing weird hand holding shit on paradise, snow was very choppy with those weird blue mtn piles, bottom of main st was incredibly rowdy, boot top deep piles of sugar 2" from very firm hardpack Lazy was decent, Paradise was decent the rest was about like this Temps are good from here on out, some progress should be made by next Monday. Wens low 27 Thurs 26 Fri 25 Sat 28 Sun 22 !!!

hahah you know it....they are a bit of a science experiment, they are pretty stupid for 99.9% of the skiing I do but I'm thinking super 7 but more stable with slightly more predictable hard snow performance and better float.

That was in December real low tide conditions. Avy stuff is super super scary because it's generally slow enough that you have time to think about it. I think everyone who's ever been at Canyons has at least thought about venturing out there. Blue is sometimes the scariest place on earth, my most painful beater was at Bear Creek and it wasn't in the park lol
