  1. Um, did you forget where I work? High powered? Yes. High salaried? Mmm not so much. I'm there. My skis need to be waxed, but no time for that I guess. Oh well!
  2. Wow, people are finally starting to rally! Let's see how many more we can recruit...
  3. Wow, this is pretty tempting, and my dinner plans got cancelled. What time do I have to be there? Could someone please twist my arm just a little bit more? Edit: Also, I don't think I'll beat anyone, considering that the one and only time I did nastar I didn't even get a bronze:( But that's okay, because it is fun even if I am slow.
  4. If you plan to def. attend, please add your name to the list so we know how to look out for. (Justin??) I think I'll get a couple of miller lite cans and some champagne cans. Questions, questions... do cans come in six-packs, and if so, are those six-packs sold at the beer distributor, or do I have to go to some other place? Does anyone have a digital camera to capture this gapertastic event? I have a disposable camera that I need to use up, so I'll probably bring that, but disposable cameras suck. Also, everyone should come.
  5. It is times like these that I wish I had a Camelbak. Doug, pleas enlighten us on how to best pack for/drink on the slopes.
  6. Wow, I will def. check this out!! Maybe Sunday? Maybe sometime Easter weekend? Who knows!
  7. 1. Schifdawg (Mike) 2. Melissa (Melissa) 3. GrilledSteezeSandwich(Doug) 4. Sexkitten (Leslie) 5. Boblikescats (Bob) 6. snoskier (Jon) 7. Angry Hugo (???) I will have to call around to find those Sofia Champagne cans. What is the best way to store alcohol while skiing? Fanny pack? Doesn't the alcohol get shooken (sp??) up? Just check out Goodwill, there is tons of stuff there, very inexpensive!!
  8. Haha, I know. Wintergreen will only be like an hour away though. The funny thing is that even if Richmond had a mountain like 10 minutes away, I'd never have time to go. T-18 months I think...
  9. Wow, the mountain was AWESOME TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!! Yes, seriously, I needed that many exclamation points to express how much fun it was. We got up there around 6:30 and skiied til about 8:30. Cannonball had the best snow. Boomer wasn't bad. Whistler, Switch, and the lower half of the boarder cross trail were all good too. Snow was so fast! I'm so glad I got up. I've been a bit out of skiing for the past month, only like getting up once a week b/c life has been so busy, but now that a lot of stuff has calmed down, I can't wait to get up there a ton more!
  10. Wow, everyone looks great, and it looks like everyone was challenging themselves, which is awesome!!
  11. Looks awesome, nice pic!!! I'm heading up in a half hour...

  13. Seriously, you better bring it. I'll be sporting this, http://i14.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/de/d3/c369_1.JPG unless the ebay seller lied to me about shipping it priority yesterday. In which case, I'll go to my backup jacket: http://i7.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/de/1d/bcc2_1.JPG And if that doesn't get here, I'll buy something at the Salvation Army right quick. Remember, I'll be sporting one of those headband things (with silver accents), and some Risky Business Faux-Bans!! HOTT!
  14. OMg, I will so be there. Go big or go home. I was planning on getting there at 8am.
  15. OMG, I just called to, and at first, I got their VM, maybe it was because they were on the phone with you! The lady told me the same thing. Good for an all-day ticket, just come dressed and get your ticket at the group sales office. SO EXCITED! I thought all my ebay shopping was in vain! Now if only Pennsylvania sold those cute little Sofia cans of champagne! Ah, sometimes I miss Virginia.
  16. SK, did you get to call them today? If not, maybe I'll call. The email said to call the group services office. A morning ticket is only like $40 or something, which isn't a big deal, but the whole point of getting these outfits is for the $10 ticket. I'll be bummed if I don't get it:(
  17. SK, if you can't get them to honor the $10 ticket all day, I will call as well, and perhaps mention a few pennsylvania consumer protection statutes or something like that, that I will research and find tomorrow morning. I don't like being materially mislead with the old bait and switch.
  18. Also, I'd like to report on my shopping efforts today for Retro Saturday. The first Salvation Army I went to had a fine selection of retro jacets (ladies and gents), however they lacked accessories. The second Salvation Army that I went to was closed. I went to Wal-Mart looking for some Risky Business Ray-Bans, and I found some that were okay. These are apparently not in fashion right now. Then, I went to K-Mart and found an awesome retro headband in grey and white with with silver thread woven into it.
  19. I've done my fair share of drinking, especially pre-noon. I can live without going to the parade. I can always go next year if I want. Also, because of my job, I have to be careful of where I drink. It would not be a good idea for me to be around at the parade drinking I think. It would reflect poorly on my boss, which is not good:) I hope you have a great time though:)
  20. Haha, they totally might be! But, the price of the vapors and the price of the monsters were the same, and since I was told that they ski the same, I figured I might as well pick the one with the "Liquid Metal" and "Intelligence Chip System" and see if it was legit!
  21. I can't speak for them as a company, but I read a ton of reviews on the Monster (and the Monster's women specific ski, the wild thang maybe?), and everyone raves about them. It was a toss-up between this and the Fischer Vision Vapor. When I was talking to the guy at Sierra about the Vapor, he said that he loved skiing on it, and he said that he used to be a Head rep and thought it skiied extremely close to the Monster. I ended up going with the Monster b/c the Vapor doesn't have all the technology "stuff" that the Monster does. I'm eager to try it and see how the "stuff" is.
  22. Guys tend to.
  23. Probably not. They probably won't ship til tomorrow a.m. b/c my friend won't get there to pick out poles til like 5pm. Anyways, I still need to get my boots heat molded, and I don't feel like breaking them in on Saturday. Also, since everyone is so concerned about my ability to shop (um, hello, I'm a girl??), I'd like to point out that I've been in the process of buying boots for the past 2.5 months, have visited numerous shops, have ordered models that I haven't been able to find in shops, and finally decided on this one, after trying it on. I only ordered it online b/c Nestors did not have my size in stock. That and I got the boot on super sale for $175.
  24. Wow, I love that everyone thinks that I'm incompetent when it comes to buying things online. Does everyone really think that I am this stupid? Do you guys seriously think that I'd drop a couple hundred dollars on something that I haven't thoroughly researched? And tried on? I'm offended. Seriously.
