I had a rockered powder board last season. I really liked it in powder, but wasn't too thrilled of it on anything hard. All these boards are both rockered and cambered so they bite a lot more, but still will float. I was planning on hitting C-back a few times this year, so maybe I can bring one up and let you try it out.
About the park: you and me both. My pair came with the mediums installed in them and the firms in the box. It's pretty easy to fuck around with them on the mountain since all the inserts can fit in your pocket.
I use the small/medium flex one for no other reason than it's more comfortable on my boots. The firm one is REALLY firm. Don't even bother. You probably won't need 'em, especially if you're in the park a lot.
update: dude from NeverSummer just called to let me know when the new boards are coming out. totally chill guy, but he sounded pretty lonely. it was pretty tough to get him off the phone. my new pal is now sending me a hat, shirt, and stickers. pretty cool.
Couldn't stand the itch any longer and just ordered a NeverSummer Premier F-1R 163. It'll be my Jackson Hole/AM Blue Crew board for the most part. The stoke market is steadily climbing.
I'm waiting for the new Rome boards to come out. The Agent Rocker is coming out in a 159 this year, and that should do the trick. I may also get a NeverSummer Premier F-1R as a freeride/powder board.
My trip to Jackson was my highlight. 3 powder days followed by a perfect bluebird day. I had a dream last night I was back in Jackson sharing a bizarre flophouse with Doug, Jeff, Justo, KT, and Johnny Style. bizarre....
