Yeah, fall. September/October, bike shops have to order their 2014 product, so they have to clear out the old stuff (and get some moolah for a massive upcoming bill). I'll be at Human Zoom tomorrow and see what they have in your size. We have some pretty nice Santa Cruz bikes in stock.

I asked them if they could mount my Rossi FKS's on my Bibbys, and they said they only have a Marker jig, and that my skis were too wide for it. Pretty bizarre.

My wife recently passed away in a horrible needlepoint accident. *sniff* Hope you like twin 15-month-old girls. And dogs. And cats. The one dog likes to put her chin on random things, though.

I started out skiing as a young fella, switched to snowboarding around 1994, then back to skis last year. I honestly don't see going back to a snowboard, especially now that I'm the best skier on the mountain. The first couple days on skis will suck, but you already understand how to work your edges and how to carve. It just takes a little time to retrain your brain. It's especially nice having poles to both push yourself along with and to whack your friends in the back with. Ski boots are now comfortable enough that you don't have to give up having cozy tootsies. Lots of shops now do seasonal rentals so you can ski for a year and not have to worry about dropping a ton of cash into a sport you may not like.

It's really great hanging out with everyone the other 8 months of the year we're not skiing. Whether we are hitting Union games, going out on the mountain bikes, or just grabbing beers, it's fun hanging out, busting balls, and blowing off some steam. It'd be even more fun to hang out with more of you. I keep meaning to meet up with Guitar73 & Tinymoose for beers, but one day it'll happen. Same with sexkitten. Ridge Racer seems like he'd be a blast to ski/drink with. Same with Kyle and RideDE. We share a lot of the same interests, and all this stuff should just be a fun distraction from our normally horrible lives. Just like pandas. Especially red pandas. They are incredibly adorable.
