Scratches seem to hold up well. Im not a Rossignal guy tho. If I found a good deal on some tho I would take it.
-
I guess. I would just rather spend my money on a ski that holds up better. When I had my Thrusters they got beat so quick. I had to stop riding them and go back to my Ar5's, that I even still rode in the beginning of the season.
-
Haha ya Salomon skis ehhh lol. After seeing their line for next year, im having differnt thoughts on them tho. The Suspect looks like a ski that will hold up well for Salomon. And their line of outerwear just keeps getting better and better each year.

Im 5'9", 150 lb. and I ride 177 Volkl Walls. The skis are beasts, I ride almost everyday, every time I ride it is in the park too, and I only have 3 edge cracks combined on both skis. That is really good for me considering last year I had 8 edge cracks on each edge of my thrusters. If I were you I would stick with a ski around 176, flex is a preference. You will get use to the size and once you do you will love the extra length. Personally I hate all K2's park skis, but their line for next year is really sick. Definitely wait till next year is you want a symmetrical ski from K2 for the park.

It will be taken care of once the park passes go into effect.

Hi Kyle! Saw you on Monday, but no Dom.
-
Matches are legit on Whistler.

Ha ya well its not looking like I need it. I still haven't filmed, or gotten my heads on my camera cleaned. I gotta try to go pick up a head cleaner soon so I can get some footage to make a descent promo this year.

Whistler has no lights...haha.

I don't think the slope size has anything to do with anything. From what I noticed about Boulders jumps on Monday is that their landings are not steep at all. Sno' s landings are a lot steeper then Boulders landings. I don't think there is a problem with the size of the lips. They are just too close to the rails and it doesn't give you that kind of time to make spinning onto a rail nice and easy. As for the booters, I talked to some guys about that. They can make a jump with a gap to it, which will be a booter, only because it isn't in their contract. I do have a solution to that tho and hopefully they will take the input and run it through the main guys at Sno to see if it will work with the contract. If it works, we will have some nice jumps.

It was the lips. Their shaped like quarter pipes. I died on the last jump last night and got a nice bruise. If your not ready to get popped when your spinning, they it will throw you way off and you will just fall hard. The shape of the lips should be changed by tomorrow since the groomers from Planet will be in to fix up the park and what not.
-
Mike, I don't think the lips need to be poppy at all. They just need to be really smooth at a normal angle. Riding the park all last week all the lips were really poppy and they threw you off the lips weird. Same with the jumps, lips were way too poppy. Im sure that now Mike and Trent are in everything will be better.

I'll be up there too. Sometime probably around 11-12 I will arrive and will be skiing till 3, then I have work.

Sno should have great conditions tomorrow. I was up there on Monday and it was great. They got a good 3 inches on Monday, and today im sure they got about an inch or more up there. They should be blowing snow tonight too.
-
I was up last night also. I have midterms all this week, but I didn't have school today because all the teachers in the Scranton area had an inservice, so I rode from 2-10 last night. The conditions in the park were so much better when me and only a few other people were riding it. You would land in fresh pow on the landings. It was nice, but as the night went on all the powder got packed in but the landings were still nice. Were suppose to get snow on Thursday. Hopefully we can get the same type of snow then as we did last night. The snow makers said they were going to try to blow last night. I don't know much about snowmaking, but that looks like a legit chat. In the snowmaking building the snowmakers have a computer that tells the temps of the 3 areas of the mountain, along with the humidity of those parts. Im sure they take the temp and humidity and use a chart like the one you posted to decide wether they can make snow or not.

That was because it went from warm to really cold. Everything was really choppy on the park. Bumps formed on the slope from people stopping, then once it got cold out they hardened up quick. The park should be a lot better by the weekend when they blow the snow to fill the slope back up. We took out some new lights in the lift building. I don't know if the snowmakers planed on putting them up in the park last night or not, but when they are up the park will should be really bright.
-
Ya the park is really fun. Lots of flow, but the jumps aren't big at all. Hopefully once we get better weather to blow a lot of snow again we can make some bigger jumps that aren't table tops and put up a lot more rails. Mad fun park tho for how little the jumps are.

Corks on tramps are easy. With skis on it's a little different with the weight on your feet. To cork on a tramp just throw your shoulder down into which direction your spinning, then look at the heels of your feet. Once you get to 360 degrease you want pick your head up, straighten your shoulders back out, and spot your landing. Just practice and you will get them down.
-
Ya I've seen racers do that. It's not my park, but thanks lol. A lot of kids like skiing the park. It kind a gets addicting after a while. My first year of skiing I would only ride park every now and then, but now I never leave the park unless its closed, in bad condition, or need to take a run down the NF to get to my car.
-
Ya Ski, it's really annoying when you just fix a lip on a warm day and then someone rides off the side of it. What can you do tho? 80% of the people who ride in that park ride off the sides of the lips. They will eventually learn to hit the feature if they want to.
-
Park won't be open till the weekend now probably, or later. The weather doesn't look so good for this week and im sure they don't want to push the snow around when the weather is in the 60's and plus its going to rain on Wednesday.

It should be up within the next day or two.
