The jesters are super sturdy and i'm really starting to push this new set up hard and it defiantly has (MAJOR) potential, the boots are super tight (physically & visually) and I can only get in about 8 runs before my feet just, well, tell me enough for tonight, its like they don't hurt as much as loss of feeling/blood flow, they really only hurt on the lift. When I take my feet out I noticed tonight and last night my small toes are like frozen to the toe next to it, its weird... But I knew this would happen dropping 2 sizes, I expected more pain actually. But If they don't get better in a couple days I can have them worked some more. The setup is so much different than the last that it may take some time before I can give a decent review, well mostly because I have only really been skiing for a month and a half, I'm already killing the whole mountain and riding switch, but these are mounted btw center and traditional and the last ski's were mounted traditional, I didn't tell them to, they just did assuming I was a complete beginner. I wanted the palmers mounted btw because they are freeride/freestyle and I will most likely spend 90% on the mountain, I really need to get used to them before attempting park, I also downsized to 171's i know you guy's keep telling me to stay up there 179's but all the guy's in the shop kept telling me this was my size, so don't try telling me I should have gone bigger because I already bought them, paid a ton, and I don't plan on buying new ski's any time soon! It's only 3.15 inches smaller anyway... As for the il moro's, There so much different that I really cant compare them, but they're amazing. I have a pretty stupid question, with the silencer's there was a big target near the tip on one ski so I kept it on the right all the time, I'm just wondering if I should keep the ski's on the same foot every time or rotate them or it just doesn't matter? EDIT: Johnny law that was defiantly an EPIC post, you must be smart, and thank you for the detailed answer, it looks like you probably spent a long time to type that up and I appreciate it.

I say push snow up as a barricade funneling people to the center of the slope at the top starting from the lift over and from the woods over, and at the center you'll have all the safety sighs like smart style crap and a 3-4 ft entrance, ya know make it super intimidating to gapers and hey, if there are actual safety guidelines and rules the ski and safety patrol can actually try to enforce them... RIGHT? after all it is a safety concern and as far as I know they aren't doing anything to solve the problem... As far as the gapers know you can do whatever you want in there, if there are no rules saying you can't, you can't expect idiots to know what not to do. If you make park passes that anyone can get its pointless because anyone can get it, and if you try to enforce it at the top kids will sneak through the woods just because. Make it open but intimidating and maybe let ski patrol and lifties know you think its a safety problem. OR we could just keep bitching about it.

Lighter, rocker tech, mostly just a performance upgrade... if you haven't seen them yet you should check them out. plus it was a pretty sick deal, from $910 to $560

Palmer P01's Marker Jesters dalbello's Il Moro, getting custom fit by a master boot fitter. They took my K2 silencers for a trade in They are gonna try to get me, a size 12 skate shoe, size 11 work boot into a size 9 ski boot... I have my doubts but he is a master Pick em up tomorrow and fit the boots, should take 2 or more hours, if anyone is interested in what a master boot fitter does i'll try and make mental notes and shit and take about them later the ski corner is amazing, the prices on there ski's are cheeper than discount websites, I looked all night and the ski corner was still $60 cheaper on the boots, plus free boot fitting. i'll list prices if anyone's interested, if you know the palmer's they retail at $910

ughh yeah too bad proform is a ripoff because you're usually buying factory defects or products that didn't pass quality control, but thats just what I heard from someone that knows first hand the poor quality of burton's shit.

All I can say is burton is a corporation, they make decisions based on what will profit them most, not what will make the best equipment and satisfy the customer bring the best reputation, ya know, the most value for your money, ya know? "hmm how do we make sure they have to (Or can only) buy our bindings." maximizing profits, even if it means making cheap shitty boards that discourage beginners from wanting to progress. So because of this I will absolutely not support burton and any of its underlying brand names, with the way the economy is, it would really be best if we bought from american companies, or just anyone without a board of directors. like Dalbello and Lib Tech. (Those are the only brands that I know are small and/or family owned and operated)

hey sno, ever heard of anti skid? next time i'm up i'll bring some damn ice skates for the parking lot! got up around 9:30 drove around to the nf parking area, stopped because a pickup was backing out, so both back wheels were spinning and he wasn't moving more than .5mph, I was like woh this guy is cool, went to move, same prob with me, wheels spun real bad, when I was booting up I witnessed another vehicle try to back out, couldn't turn, he had to go back into the space and tried again... finally got out. saw this at least 3 more times while I was there. It'll be a miracle l if someone doesn't slip and get hurt. Conditions were great, I had the sun roof open on the way home! it would be great if they groomed lightning, It's getting dangerous, not even fun challenging, today, twice on ski's, thrice on board (Ahh I love Thrice), made it down just fine but it wasn't fun at all, just bad, un organized bumps, saw ski patrol pulling a little girl out of the woods the other night. whatever. Anyone ride lightning today and have a GOOD experience? Park is great but I wish they would put that other bonk back, it was fantastic...

Burton: Home of the best (and absolutely worst) riders in the world [Observe; Red headed douche bag who makes judges orgasm, bunny slope and boards the ski patrol carry down the mountain while the owner is in the toboggan]

I love my old rossi freeride board, your right, I can barely find directional boards let alone a real alpine board but I guess they wouldn't sell real alpine boards in an area where you wouldn't find that kind of riding. (Scranton) 2 weeks ago I saw a guy in the lift line, he had hard boots, a crazy foward stance and an old burton race board, I asked him how old it was and he said he bought it used back in 93! it was a sick board...

I was riding tonight and my friend was using my ski's, I really think there mounted traditional, theres at least 5in more in the front than the back, I don't know whats officially modern or traditional but they are defiantly goofy looking compared to everyone elses ski's, when I had the shop mounted I told them I would be in the park and stuff, but I think they mounted them the way they did because they thought I Was a beginner. So The lib tech's would be nice but i'm not a fan of the orange and blue different ski's (Thats how the sale is on ebay) your defiantly right about the size I realized that if there mounted center it would be a much shorter ski so I should go at least 180. any recommendations for a great bang for the buck ski a little wider, lighter, more flex, but still good for the mountain? don't really care for crazy graphics, but something that looks sick. hey if anyone wants to get rid of a pair i'm interested in buying used if there not too beet.

Yeah I just looked into them and they say the break's fit up to 80mm wide, the NAS are 84, its only 4mm come on, would it still work? And I feel the 168's may be too small because I would still like to use these for the whole mountain not just park, I think I may hold out for 176 or just look for something else.
-
i'm gonna be listing them on ebay soon, probably around $125 and there barely used...
-
Thats really good to hear, I was so pumped when I read that, my god over 1000 season passes sold! thats at least between $300,000 and $500,000 just on season pass holders.

Ok so I've been skiing for a month now and I'll admit that its pretty fucking fun, I'm becoming proficient skiing switch and just started in the park a couple days ago, the k2's are great for the mountain but 179's make them a little bulky in the park, not to mention there a little heavy, I found someone who might buy my banana, I find myself skiing more than riding these days, not that i'm gonna quit riding, its just that i'm having difficulty switching back and forth between the banana and the DH due to the size and stance difference. Since I already have a freeride board that's a blast on the mountain and I would defiantly prefer ski's for those normal pa condition day's, I think It might be a good idea to down size. The whole point of this! When I was pickin out my ski's I noticed the Lib tech NAS (Narrow Ass Snowboard's) I would have jumped on them but they were like 157's (Or around there) I talked to my friend last night and he may buy the banana for $300. I just found a pair of 168's on ebay for $300, maybe its fate? Anyone ride the NAS? I'm just looking for a lighter ski that would be mounted centered (Progressive? thats what you call it right?) in a smaller length Also would need bindings, On the k2's are head mojo 11's and they were good for the mountain but I want something lighter and meant for the park, I found the "Look Px 12 Jib Trouble" on ebay for only $149 anyone know anything?

I noticed the lights on whistler too but the only problem is those lights are so directional that there are areas of total darkness then areas of bright white light, I hate to complain about the lights because they fixed mainline but... That urban double is really nice, great set up. Its really tough to get speed for the podium, and the first flat down but great for skiers, I thought I had speed for sure to hit the first jump on spike but wound up bouncing off the knuckle both times I tried it, probably because I slid off the podium, thought I had speed and should have started from the top. I really liked the large a-frame too at the bottom. He must have been really serious because he used caps lock the whole time.

I looked and couldn't find it, I knew they planned a day
-
I'm pretty sure everyone here is smart enough to obey the park rules, at least I hope. maybe when they have time they can put the whole smart style signs up again and funnel people onto spike so they have to read it. Last time I saw it it was completely destroyed laying in the woods.

Idk I thought Sno scheduled a pasr day, didn't they?

Park was good tonight, I skied it, went sideways for the first time on a box and i'm really pumped about it, the second time I even landed switch, those are exactly the kind of features I was talking about, I just needed somewhere to start... Thanks
-
ok i'll take some pictures but first you tell me exactly what you want to see, I know what'll happen, i'll take a pic of something and you'll say I moved the bindings just for the picture, why the fuck would I start a thread saying that the banana is wider than the dh if it was bullshit anyway? its completely noticeable when you stand them next to each other. You tell me what you want to see exactly and i'll take the picture, Then someone will have to tell me how to post it in the thread because I don't know how... Epoxy wouldn't hold up with the temperature change and it most likely wouldn't even stick to the top coat. here is a vid of last year with the dh maxed out

Wait a min,Sean, dude your a fucking manager, i'm a customer who paid $550 for a pass and your telling me i'm a baby and a pussy and I should go ride at elk? well fuck you! and if you thought I was ripping on the mountain before? I was being fair dude, if something was fucked up I posted it to let management know because I know they read it, If things were going well I bragged about it and tried to get people pumped up because I wanted the mountain to do well because I cared, what i post is my opinion and people can take it or leave it, after reading what you said again, it really pissed me off dude, and It was really unnecessary, if you want to tell me i'm a pussy fine I know you hate me, but you shouldn't have done it representing your self as a manager of the park.
-
I just read this, yeah stance on the banana is 26 and the dh is 24.5 so yeah. its a pretty big difference. epoxy's a bad idea but it would be cheeper
-
Hey, I didn't say the park was crappy, I honestly don't think its there fault, its upper management, but I'm sure they have there reasons too, I haven't been up this weekend because were shooting my friends music video but the park manager said they were going to put small features for you to learn on so maybe you should give the park another chance.
