Hey carl, its cool man, sorry I'm a pussy but I have a REAL job, car payment, insurance, credit card bills, student loans, saving up to move out and cant afford to risk getting hurt, I really don't care, build big jumps, I honestly love the progressive features your making and I really hope it brings business to Sno, I really do... Look, the people I ride with are not able to fucking progress in the park because of the features you had, there practically afraid to go down it. They're your current customers, i'm your current customer. In my opinion, you should cadre to us before you go all out and risk trying to build a big name for the mountain on YOUR FIRST YEAR, when management fucked you on snowmaking, and its a little late. Yea, it would be really awesome if you could get some really good riders to sno, but first, maybe you should focus on building a reputation of being dependable, ya know, a GOOD reputation? People got sick of sno for a lot of reasons, the park not progressing is probably on the bottom of there list. and people are getting hurt in the parks because there was nothing small and safe for them to learn on. I wish I could say shit like that when I was working park...

nick... thats actually not a bad idea, seriously... Well, its not a great idea ither, i don't want to ruin the bindings
-
Yea so... those jumps are RETARTED lol so like... there... REALLY NASTY, you know what, there basically the biggest jumps i've ever seen, and completely unnecessary, I was there for maybe 2 hours lapping the parks and I only saw one skier hit it, yeah nice dude you made an enormous fucking jump that 3 people can hit? thanks... I have a job, a brand new car (with a standard tranny so I cant break any limbs) and responsibilities, I don't hit jumps too often, too much risk, especially at night, but when you have to bomb 2 headwalls straight with no speed check in order to clear the fucking jump, its too big... I'm sorry i'm not a park rat and I don't travel around, I don't go to boulder, or anywhere else because I don't have the time, I'm not a freeken expert but I have fun riding in the park. i'm not that good but i'm trying, plus I'm an absolute beginner in the park on my ski's and I wish I can find something to learn on, its almost the end of january and the park's still sketchy, with a lack of flow there are a ton of kids that are looking for something to start on and if they try on some of the shit they have they'll get hurt, Its all about having fun, not saying look at this crazy feature, yeah its sketchy but it looks cool. If your experienced and you see the stuff up there you wouldn't think of it being sketchy, but if you've been skiing for only 3 weeks and and your looking for something to do, believe me, it is. The up box to bonk is cool but you land flat and it crushes the landing, but its still cool. Look lets face it, sno mountain is NOT loaded with highly skilled and sponsored riders and skiers, there are a couple good kids, but a lot of kids in the park are just starting and need features that, are more versatile? I can see how he wants shit to be different, the bonk is still awesome but the table sideways is kinda getting old, you can get messed up pretty bad if you screw up sliding the top (I know) What happened to like flat box and picnic table? classics! I said all this basically because I didn't have a very good night up there, screwed up things I shouldn't have fell doing stupid shit, my fault though, i'm just in a shitty mood now and i'm taking it out on my keyboard.

i'm just sayin man, my knees don't hurt at all.
-
Last years and its a 155, I should really just measure and see how much smaller the stance is, look my knees are fine i've been riding like this for 2 years lol, and I have huge legs, I bike, played hockey, my legs are cannons but i'm serious, lots of muscle... If only my waste was the same ha ha
-
Thanks man, Yeah I forgot about the battleship rail and yes your right its a tabletop, I just couldn't come up with the name! Maybe they'll start to work on the pipe It would be really nice if they could put a really simple beginer somethin in, i'm tryin to learn jibbin on ski's but I'm having a hard time with what they got... Well I'm goin up soon, I'll be wearing green pants and a brown coat with fur hood, maybe a black helmet, maybe not. Idk if i'll be skiing or riding, I'll probably hit the park on the board first.
-
Yup... I'll try to remember correctly don't hate if its wrong. Spike: A-frame now flat down or podiem Step up jump don't know size down flat down, urban down box or flat to headwall in order from right to left two long flat set up a frame style (I think thats what you'de call it) bigger jump they pulled out the large rainbow and two 25ft single rails maybe they'll be in tonight Mainline small up rail or small rainbow Flat box up to barrel bonk picnic table sideways in the snow two kickers staggered next to eachother barrel bonk Left is a (Cant remember what its called, shit i should know cant come to me) jump and right is the flat down, flat, or double urban rail spine at the end I'f Im wrong please someone correct me!

Nahh, howbout "Zip Rider" season permitting Steever, I was a lifty for 2 years, unless your good on your feet you cant walk off a lift with out slipping and falling, it needs to be slowed down for most people. If I were riding a lift that was slowed down for almost every chair in the cold I would be super pissed. I'de bet there would be liability problems because of no steps. I don't know if you've ever been to sno or montage but if you ever see the shuttle lift and the hill you have to go down to get to the lift, you would understand why you wouldent want average people walking down it among skiers and schreaders...
-
yea thats how they are, I'm pretty sure thats how there suposta be. unless you want them mounted off center?
-
Look, Whatever stance with my banana is (Maxed out), is what I want my DH thats all end of discussion I ride just fine with it that wide, Nobody should be telling me how wide I should ride my stance i've been riding enough to know... The wider I go the better it got. Base plate turned sideways? I don't get it, I have ride bindings and they have slots, the bolts are all the way out so... if I turned it sideways it would be less because it would center the binding on the bols right? uhh so can someone please explain this turning base plate sideways thing? BTW I would have the shop do it...
-
"Tight pant's wide Stance" yeah dude, last night I Was rockin my holden classics, I love those pants but it was a little too cold for'em, as for "wide Enough" The stance on the banana is substancially wider, I don't know how much in numbers, on all three boards I have my stance maxed out, and wouldent have it any other way... I'm gonna do it anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone ever heard of problems from doing it.
-
So I need to go wider with the DH, called up the shop and asked about it, He told me that it may make the board considerably more likely to break if I have this done, anyone ever have a board T-bolted? ever hear any horror stories on boards breaking because of it? Btw for those of you who may not know, T-bolting boards basically is just adding another set of inderts so you can go wider with your stance

I guess I got a little off topic but yea it was a ton of fun but that was friday night, monday night we were super pissed off we didn't get to drink.
-
ohh duh it was mlk day thats why it was opened, melissa your right, its a federal holiday thats why I blamed it on them, even though I know it can very by state (Right?) me and my friends were gonna try and filter bankers club through a water purifier pitcher like they did in mith busters it was going to be great time(Even though I prefer GG or Sky,) Ohh I just tried Sky grape it was freeken amazing, Tasted like grape soda, me in my friend drank half a fifth in the steamtown mall parking lot last week and walked around for a while, ended up in the calf of scranton university, and pissed under like three stair sets on campus. it was a good time, I would definatly recomend the sky grape.
-
ide love to know the condition of the parks if anyone has any info it would be appretiated, I'm probably going up tonight reguardless but I would love to know what to expect so I know if its worth it to bring the DH. There was pleanty of snow for the glades, sticks just add to the fun, technecially you can snowboard across water and grass so... grow some balls and learn how to p-tex... Saying that, I have to say the glades werent that fun anyway, go on the right side of lightning, much better...
-
Wow, Long haul is usually only opened during weekends, I don't remember ever seeing it opened during the week melissa are you talking about today monday or sunday? Today I was helping my friends move into there apartment in scranton, So yeah, apparently because of MLK all the liqueur stores have to be closed WTF!!! I was so pissed! we were suposta get fucked up and celebrate but no... BTW i'm pretty sure MLK would be pretty pissed off they closed the booze store in his name, so thank you federal Government, you took all the fun out of MLK's birthday!!!
-
Yay who wants to ride the zip rider in the freezing cold? squid has an excellent point, your gonna have people walk down the snow covered hill to get on a lift with skiers and snowboarders moving at normal speed, (If i'm not mistaken it had to run at slow speed in the summer) with the unloading ramp covered with snow, during the day on the weekends when its busiest? seriously, didn't they think anything through? anything at all? fuck!
-
uhh where did all this snow come from, I have like 8in of fluffy powder at my house and the roads are terrible, Im north in lake ariel, what did scranton get??? N Screw it i'll go up around 2
-
squid i'm still drinking but i'm still planning on going up by that time...

ha ha remember last year, they pretty much parked the guns in the woods to try and get the glades open, I don't think it worked out well. looks like they removed the live cam from the website I really liked it, I hope they put it back up because I feel better when I know there making snow, If I were them I would advertise it more, and hey, On the radio this morning, the ski report for all the mountains around, Sno was like the only one around that they didn't have a report for WTF? and hey, why isnt there a category for Tanglewood?
-
I'm not gonna bother making a TR for yesterday the 15th, it was cold, conditions were ok, they were landscaping smoke when I was there, boomer was creppy, couldent see the condition of the snow because of the light out, its like soft man made ontop of really hard packed, it was just weird. blowing on upper mountain, main section, parks ect. the guns were pukeing ungodly amounts of snow, hopefully they'll park some guns to start on the 13footer, we cant see the live cam at work but I really hope they sucked it up and blew throughout today

My bet is the pro's are most likely rocking next years gear and/or Tech, depending on how big they are that is... I say this because at the rev tour last year this guy was wearing this years burtons blue and purple two piece and we were asking him about it and he showed us next years board (no clue what it was but it was burton) all I remember is it had no camber and he did pretty well.
-
Parks always changing so its hard to say what they'll have on MLK day
-
Yeah man, RC is nice, but normal camber has been around for a long time, if it was so much inferior, someone would have thought of RC a long time ago right? I mean its not like it opens up a whole new level of performance right? just makes things a little easier, like i said before, the banana is very versatile but is not amazing at one thing in particular. Normal camber still makes sense, especially in a freeride board where you would want pressure on your tip and tail, RC feels like your turning with your entire side but NC is with your 4 corners which feels better in certain circumstances.

The right side of lightning was amazing sunday, you can go 3/4 down the headwall through the woods, maybe its not that much in length but it makes up for it in its difficulty and steepness, just don't venture too far right or you'll get stuck up against a down tree and no way around. There are several different locations I have in mind but i'm not at liberty to say. not on the map is good, means nobody knows about them, isn't that the point? In fact I barely rode any of the actual trails at all on sunday, I just stayed as far right as possible and got every little un touched piece of snow I could find, and there was plenty. but this is only good after a storm so unless we get one near MLK day your not gonna get any.
