  1. This will be short and sweet because it's cold It's awesome 1-4 inches of silky smooth man on notrhface There grooming the race course roght now Conditions perfect Hand frozen
  2. Ok so as of 11 the course wasn't open, it looks sick but your gonna have to go see it for your self. I'm sending this from the theatre, I'm about to see tom cruse try to kill Hitler, no new trails open today ither
  3. Yeah they were pushin but I'm not sure there is quite enough snow to fill in some spots, they left it pushed but un groomed, High ball is open and it opened at a perfect time because there were a lot of people up there today and that trail kept them off mainline. (Some) I Just got home around 4:30 and I'm actually going back up tonight after I get my new iPhone, hey, I could actually do live TR's from the lift. Wouldn't that be nice? BTW there are rocks in the snow pretty much everywhere so If your good friends with your base... brand new skis need some major p-tex already
  4. I probably wont be in it, I've never done a comp yet, Maybe I would have if I had time to ride the course but as of now the course doesn't exist yet, There is a massive amount of snow blown for it, I guess it'll all be done tonight... If anyone is wondering, its along the magic carpet which I guess is a good idea for a comp because you don't need to ride the lift to get back up, but it would have been fantastic if it was up today, I can defiantly see why they didn't, but I don't think it had good publicity, did anyone else hear about it before I posted it/saw the website?
  5. Hey squid, I sent you a text this morning but incase you didn't get it, I have a pare of last years 32 primes, there a size 10 but there packed out to at least a size 11, I'll be up there by 10:30 and they'll be in my car.
  6. Official flyer Ok the Registration is from 11:30 to 1:00 contest starts at 2:00. Fee is $10 first 15 people to register gets a free shirt, Discounted tickets available for competitors, Contest shirts sold for $10 You would think that if they took the time to make the shirts they would have made it a little more public by now right? Its sponsored by the ski corner
  7. I figured I should start it because it is tomorrow and we haven't heard anything about it yet They were blowing a ton of snow where the rail garden was yesterday, i'm going up today, i'll keep posted.
  8. yea that would be great, I might head up around 8:30 so I can get the same conditions, I was up by 11 yesterday and they were decent but not like they were a couple weeks ago...
  9. uhh accurate? they were blowing snow and it didn't show it on the page, me personally like to know what trails there blowing on so I know when to expect new trails open, btw they did post an announcement on the rail jam on the 3rd, I was going to wait till someone made an announcement on here, or maybe they're waiting for us to do it?
  10. Thats absolutely right, the website does suck but I can't justify bitching about too many things, so as for now the lighting sucking out weighs the website sucking, so lets keep the bitching to a minimum and... the lighting sucks please fix it... I'm just guessing the only person that knows how to use a computer up there had the day off?
  11. I have a pare of size 12 northwave decade's white and green, they were too big to fit into my bindings...
  12. Yeah, I'm nowhere even close to being able to jib, I Progressed even more today, keeping my feet close together carving back and forth, i'm getting it down, but there's still those "Ohh shit!" i'll be back up tomorrow...
  13. fuk yea, happy nreyears friedn, i have to pull my buddies jeap out of a ditch in the morning ha hs goifd night
  14. I'll be up tomorrow, If i survive the night.
  15. Yeah, It was a good time, Its "Humbling" i guess the word, to be back at like a beginners level when it comes to riding the mountain, since i've played hockey for so long i'm really good at skating, so stopping hockey style was super easy and I got that down, I found a uncrowded trail and worked on skiing backwards, got that down a bit, i'll go back tomorrow and work on it some more. Yeah and I asked a former park crew member and he pretty much said get used to the ski's before I try anything in the park, which made sense... I have a lot to learn.
  16. too tired, i'll update tomorrow, they were nice though, I progressed a lot tonight and i think i'll be hiting the park in no time.
  17. I like my DH, its an 07-08, its a little stiff though I have it detuned and have it set up as a dedicated park board, as for riding the rest of the mountain, it was ok Why did you go for an 06? I also have ride alpha's which are a step down from bata's, rides new bindings are fantastic, super light and flexes just right. the ratchets are great too, I was using my brother's rome 390's and really don't like them, the strap is too heavy and the bindings are too stiff, but hey, its a choice of preference.
  18. Toast I hope your right, I just called up the shop, just in time infact, I asked to swap them with the 179's, I guess My ski's were next in line to get mounted... I'll pick em' up tonight, try em' out, and give a review when I get home! Thanks everyone for your advice!
  19. yeah that whole "(read: is) and issue. Not to me." got a little choppy hence it was how it was said which lead me to that assumption
  20. there getting mounted at the ski corner, I just saw something on youtube saying that this ski is meant for a light teen/adult, i'm 200 pounds, should i be worried?
  21. yea too bad it was too dark to see the trail to see if it was dirty when i was there. but seriously, i'm not saying it was the mountain's fault it was icy, just the fact that the condition of the trail was icy! it was sunday, i was there from 5-7 after a weekend day you would expect the trails to be pretty much beat, thats not the problem, the problem was the neglected unloading ramps that were loaded with dirt and rocks. the park rats were lapping Northface because the park was beat... (Again, lack of snow, not the park crew's fault) highball should have been opened to keep traffic off mainline, they should have been blowing piles on mainline to at least make a decent park (YEAH AT LEAST ONE PARK) while they work on making snow for spike, they shouldn't have even started making snow on lower runaway until the important trails were opened. At least planet put pressure on management to make sure they could have the snow they needed for "a" park, idk wtf is going on? And what's wrong with riding park at night, its like your against it and it shouldn't be done, you know most people who go up there ride after school or work? just because its not important to you doesn't mean its not important.
  22. Thanks! Yes I tried the boots on and they felt good, really comfortable and I liked how adjustable the straps were, they were heavily discounted and I believe I got the last pair, overall I saved over $200 off msrp. I'm sorry the boots were NOT by tecnica, they were by Dalbello they were the Aerro 60's. the ski's are size 169
  23. dude I would have freaked out. I was going to try to give you an answer but I have no clue what could have happened...
  24. Yea, i used the board i used because i assumed the conditions would have been more loose and slushy, I figured there would be bare spots and dirt which is why i used the old 157, the edges are fucked on it, there too bad to fix, but its great in loose or powder, plus you even said your base got dirty which is a pain to clean. Bitching? yeah it is, but how else do we get them to fix these problems? should I call up the moose and tell him to climb up there and fix the lights? Squids right "riderossi" were disappointed with the progress compared to other mountains and were actually customers, try riding the park at night, its horrible, (This is in no way the park staff's fault) that goes out to you too OHH glorious GM of sno, why don't you take a sled ride up mainline at night, maybe then you'll change your priorities, if you actually have any. I'm also pissed because several supervisors told me my brother would certainly be hired... Not a call yet, maybe there pissed because of what i say and by not hiring him its like getting back at me personally? It's too bad you lost a lot of good people from last year, apparently they weren't getting the hours they used to have, I guess all the new kids were getting more hours than the people who have been there over 3 years, Just last week I saw a new kid at the top of iron horse too feet up against the glass leaned back watching a movie on his ipod with the headphones on... NOW THATS BITCHING... Look, i'll praise sno when they do things well, you've seen me do it, conditions last week were freeken amazing!!! but i'll also be an asshole and tell everybody of the problems they have in the hopes that they do something about them, and if they fix the damn lights i'll tell everybody about how glorious the new lights are, take my shit for what it is, its a non biased "inside" review of the mountain. and believe me, i know a lot of people on the inside...
  25. Yeah it was pretty bad though, real choppy everywhere, unloading ramp off the quad was all rocks and dirt, i stayed on until the last min and jumped off just so i didn't have to ride through it, hey sno if your gonna put a big guy at the top who can't do anything the least you can do is make sure the ramp is good and not filled with dirt and rocks (Supervisors) i know there is a lack of snow but i'm sure you could pull some over on the sled if you gave a fuck. looks like they had put up all those white lights on spike, too bad there so damn directional it turns the trail from 60% dark and 40% orange to 50% dark, 30% orange and 20% bright freeken white while the park next to it has no damn lights at all on it... hey why didn't you get those lights up high where they should be or just fix the ones on mainline? my edges are shot on the board i was riding, believe me, there's ice everywhere and i don't know how many trails they can actually groom if it gets any worse, there's already dirt in the snow. I would love to know why they opened spike in the first place, maybe just so they can have a trail on the upper mountain that actually has lights on it? I wouldn't recommend going back up until they have a chance to make more snow, its not worth it... park's beat, last set was closed off. same features except the two boxes are set up different. I didn't expect much tonight but i didn't think it would be this bad. if you can tell from my review, i'm pissed off... hey, maybe if they gave a fuck they wouldn't have bought hundreds of "new" snow guns and put in an extra pump of two... from what i heard, a pump went down and they weren't blowing at the capacity they should have, what good is 197 or 250 guns (whatever the fuck you advertise), if you cant even run a quarter of them. when a pump goes down, i know it warmed up a lot but there are trails that they really should have had opened that they didn't. like highball and the race course.
