  1. Look it up on ebay, i see buy it now's for up to $612!!! I see a TON for $569 some still for $465 but there only getting harder and harder to find, If I list it for $450 charge $25 for shipping and i got my money back, plus I got a $60 discount with the bindings so all I gotta do is sell it for like $440 to get my money back. maybe in a month it will be possible to sell it at that price. Maybe I should sell it with the contrabands.
  2. Wait you being sarcastic or do you not know I'm santa? I wanted to change my user name to "Clauss" because thats my last name and people call me that, my email is "Davieclauss" i entered that in i thought to change it and i messed up, now i have to wait 60 days till i can change it. So sno rider, who the fuck are you and why am I the biggest flaming tool ever?
  3. Well Maybe I shouldn't have gotten a 159, but when the company pretty much says this board is the best thing ever... I just have to disagree, I feel that the two days I rode it, I was not impressed. Next time your carving down a steep hill just think about how your board is working with that side radius with a normal board, yes a reverse camber conforms to the angle your turning at and puts the entire edge to work, but a normal camber has more pressure on the tip and tail because of its shape, and a RC evenly distributes the pressure throughout the entire side. I guess its like with a NC you can put a lot of pressure on a small area which makes it easier to get a good bite, I'm not saying the banana didn't hold an edge, it held it well, but it just... didn't feel right, maybe it was the magnetraction? remember, the first sentence i said was "Now scam is an exaggeration but listen," hey, I'm just voicing my opinions on the product. I'd be happy to try out another RC but in a park board, probably 154 or smaller, I've come to realize that its stupid to expect a board to really be amazing in everything. I'm probably gonna sell it on ebay because I've realized that I can probably sell it for the same price I bought it for cus the banana is hot.
  4. Naw the boots fit great, its a size 10 boot even though i'm a 12, the primes mold so well to your foot you can get away with it, I have binding size 9 to 11 so its just right in the middle. I was really hoping it would be a good product. but I'm gonna go ahead and not recommend this product.
  5. Nick, Have you used ride bindings? ever tried any of last years freestyle bindings? I absolutely love them the ratchets are so fast, they flex just right, Like glen said, I don't like the contrabands because they are designed to be faster in and out, they are NOT what they said they were. If anyone has better luck let me know, but I like to strap in standing up. and its super hard to with these. 32 prime's
  6. I'm not very optimistic for next week, it looks like they really cant resume snow making till next thursday, plus two trails on nf was getting really boring, but it certainly is better than nothing. Ha Ha not too optimistic on my employment either...
  7. The local ski shop was having a good discount for board and binding package, so i decided i would try out the contrabands with my new banana (I actually mounted them to my Ride DH), the discount was $40 off, i figured if i didn't like them, I could sell them used on ebay for $170 no problem, so i figured i would give it a shot. So after about an hour of setting them up to my boots I thought I got them just right, (a very shitty hour) Took em' up to test them out, ok, the stupid thong shit with the ankle strap keeps moving the strap back over the baseplate making it very difficult to get your boot in the binding standing up, so you either have to sit down to strap in, or move your foot on the tail side of the binding, hold the strap and try to get your foot in. Now I had a good feeling about these being shit, and well, they are. It did hold my boot securely, but it was a little too tight on my boot, I have ride delta's with the convertible toe strap, I prefer it over the boot opposed to a toe cap which it could be (I love the delta's and have 2 pairs) So i'm currently looking for a box to ship them in and they will be listed on ebay soon, probably along with the banana! I'm doing so well this year aren't I?
  8. I found my jacket.. Foursquare Ruff, XL ALL WHITE last years, retail $280 found it online for like $140, its unbelievably comfortable and warm 20/80 goose down with fur hood, don't really need to layer and the sleeves are so long that i don't need thick gloves. I'm so happy.
  9. Now scam is an exaggeration but listen. I recently purchased a new Skate Banana (159), tried it out friday and saturday... Have some mixed feelings. Now I know what they say, reverse camber makes sense because your feet are not centered on the board right? "A snowboard is not a ski?" And hey, It makes sense in powder, when I hit some soft snow it was very nice. but when carving down the mountain it just didn't feel right, it felt a little unstable, I found it hard to hold a nice edge, it was ither sliding or sharp turn. I brought my Ride DH up on saturday, I realized why it felt better, when carving you put more pressure on the tip and tail on the side your turning on. with reverse camber, your board is already bent in that direction so it doesent put the pressure on the tip and tail, more on the center. Basically, I'm not liking the reverse camber, i'll test it out some more, but i'll probably wind up selling the board... Anyone else try out reverse camber and feel the same? and really be honest with your self, was it what you were hoping it would be?
  10. Opening Friday Nov 28 & Saturday Nov 29, 9am to 9pm, Sunday Nov 30, 9am to 6pm. Ski or Board for $25 per person, Tubing $15 per person. Sounds great, i'm leaving now...
  11. I still cant find a jacket that i'm happy with, i've been looking for the last 3 months, I almost found the one, special blend, but it felt cheep even tho it was like $240, i'm ready to give up and go to like burlington coat factory and get an xl woman's fur coat or something, but seriously, i walk into the store and all the coats and pants are so ugly, expensive, and cheezy looking i want to throw up. its so hard to find a jacket that's me ya know, everything i see is so "trendy" ahhh
  12. Okay, so I went up today, the lady said that the plan was for them to start taking pictures for the passes next weekend because they aren't set up for it yet, mostly because they have never opened this early in the season before and they weren't ready, they are still planning on opening for either thursday or black friday. From what I could see, it looked like the "emphasis" of their snowmaking is on Northface, she said that they are going to blow snow every night they can. Weather looks decent, but lets just pray it doesn't rain at all next week.
  13. ha ha maybe i'll try calling first just incase nobody's there, this is kinda weird isn't it? and hey how come boulder and camelback were on news watch 16 this afternoon but no sno? come on sno, free publicity, ya gotta call them up and tell them to bring some camera's up, or... they can just look out there window.
  14. I was thinking of looking into reverse camber this year too but wasn't sure about the banana, i'd really like to know more about it though so maybe this could be moved to the gear forum or maybe i'll start it if it doesn't. Ohh and congrats to boulder for being first to open!
  15. I'm probably gonna go up tomorrow with my brother because he's gonna put an app in to be a lifty, I'll try to get an answer for pass pics, and hey, what happens if they open thanksgiving and no one has there pass yet? hey I might even take a pic or two of the progress if i can, too bad I can't figure out how to upload pics to this site, i guess i could look in the help section but i just don't have the attention span for that shit.
  16. ha ha,yeah. I'm so ready for snow, ohh and btw I'm Santa, my last name is clauss I tried to change my name to just clauss and autofill entered my email so now I guess I'm stuck with this name for 60 days
  17. I tried editing it but it wouldn't let me change it, I'd like to correct myself, I didn't mean to say "Started eight months ago" I meant was because of not getting paid eight months ago, and didn't mean "Whole problem too" my point was just basically they wanted out before the second season, or at least at the beginning. I'de also like to add at the end when I said "I don't blame them" because I know those guys had families they were away from for weeks at a time and i know it was getting very frustrating for them and they were really cool guys*
  18. It would be nice to hear Sno's side... (even if its sugar coated) Pumped to hear about the projected opening date even though... (I don't have to say it) Brian thanks for backing me up. Neptune never even came personally last year, and Mike n Trent (Ryan's guys) were always talking shit on the mountain when they were here so you cant tell me this whole problem started eight months ago. they wanted out of that contract way before then because this was not the type of "Venue" they were used to, no TV, no huge crowds, my theory is neptune wasn't getting the publicity he wanted from sno (Besides from messing up his shoulder) and figured it was a lost cause. So he does a lousy job last year, sno was dissatisfied with his service, didn't get the business they hoped for and didn't pay him. Now you guys can look it any way you want and I don't mean to gloat or anything but we know his crew, we spent time with them, and we kinda have a better feeling of how it was with them then someone who just saw his work and me and nick both know this and i'm sure he can back me up when I said they hated Sno, they hated flying out here to rebuild our park every time it got washed out, we know because we had to listen to them say it all the time, but hey, I don't blame them, but blaming the whole thing on sno is just not fair.
  19. Glenn, In my opinion, nobody in that position should ever talk trash, no matter what the circumstance, but like i said, my opinion. I don't know who that statement was directed to, if it was to a forum, thats one thing, but if it was like a pm to Pappa or someone personally, thats a different story and its not that bad.
  20. Glen, Being a business such as his, making fun of a small mountain in nepa because they couldn't pay the bills and couldn't provide him the "Services" he is used to? that is unprofessonal. When he should have known damn well the type of weather and the resources they had to begin with, plus sno did buy a great amount of features from him that they did pay for, so talking shit on a customer that didn't want to pay because they weren't satisfied with the service? hmm, maybe sno had there reasons for not paying up?
  21. Wtf, Schif, your right, that was a cocky statement he had to add in there at the end, (I do agree with the global warming statement, Global warming=Manbearpig) but lets not start an argument on that subject, Pappa, who was that statement addressed to? Shadows, even though the contract went bad for him, he still shouldn't have made it public, yeah it got rough, but it was extremely un professional to pretty much make fun of sno because they were doing bad financially, heres a mountain (company) thats three years old now, tried to make a big name for themselves, took some risks and it didn't work out that well, sno was very ambitious and I think they had the right idea, although things may look bad, this is only their third year, don't count them out yet, i'm sure sno will finally pull there act together. I thought Neptune's goal was to provide safe, advanced parks for the youth of america to learn in, I wonder when snowboarding became more of a cash crop for him than the sport he owes his entire lifestyle to, yeah it is a business, yeah the funds weren't there and did he have the right to get out of the contract? Yeah. But his company also had a responsibility of bringing business to sno, ticket sales, if sno signed a contract with him, thinking he would boost business and bring people from all over just for the park? than I think neptune didn't follow through with his side, he didn't bring the business snow needed to keep funding his "services." Ohh and hey, do we have amnesia? We had a total washout every two weeks last year until march, we built both of our parks more times than I can remember, but we still had every slope open on the last day! Neptune said sno didn't provide the proper resources or infrastructure, well where the hell was he last summer? sno does have the equipment for dirt work. and i'm sorry but they can't control the temperature to make snow. I'm sorry ass hole but this is northeast pa, not VT, not the west cost your boasting about. I hope you understand that we have rough winters, ice, rain, our temp conditions are not perfect and you should have had that in mind when YOU signed the contract! I promise you sno made all the snow they could possibly AFFORD and then some. I hope you read this Ryan Neptune, and on behalf of the youth of nepa i'm officially calling you a fucking prick...
  22. yea I know but I have my opinions and I'm not afaraid to voice them I hope people don't view me as a representive of them and I'm pretty sure less than one percent of there customers even know about pasr and even half of that percent already own a season pass, the other half may find my comments useful or don't care. so I'm pretty sure you all know how I feel about the mountain, you know I'm being honest when I say I think they will me better off without planet. Plus I'm not employed yet...
  23. hey, I was simply voicing my opinion, I'm passionate when it comes to my ideals. i'll sum up all my ranting to this, burton is a name, big one, uses tactics like the rail system binding thing, 3 bolt binding to suck you in to buy there other stuf, personally, i'm against tactics like in any industry, i don't care what you buy, but i see some people that literally look like a burton bill board, everything they rock is from burton, that kind of close mindedness, thinking there the best, buying all there shit, go ahead, keep feeding the fire and buy over priced items... whatever i really don't feel like typn anymore
  24. Yeah, your probably right... but seriously, i really don't like burton.
  25. yeah thats right, nick, why don't you explain to me why burton is so great and why a $750 board can go on sale for $200? why 3 bolts are better than 4 and why a rail down your board is such a great idea other than making sure people have to buy your bindings too? has anyone else seen the video i was talking about? As for service from ski shops? yeah I can't see any benefit from buying from the store other than getting it now and trying it on and seeing it in person but you can get some good advice, but it may not always be that good and may be just to sell whatever makes the salesman the most money, my 32 TM 2's broke a week after I bought them, Ski corner almost made me pay to send them back.
