for future refrence the carbon poles I had were GOODE super max size 50, the new polls I got are Scott P4 series Plus I think the aluminum poles are as light if not lighter.
-
Yeah, but I'd rather replace bent poles than use the limp carbon poles I had. Plus I like the wide look, but thats just me.
-
First setup I got carbon poles, The salesman convinced me to upgrade to them because he said they would "last much longer," broke after 2 weeks, the tip broke off one of the poles! (Right below the cap so it made the pole and inch and a half shorter, still used them for 3 weeks) So last week I said screw carbon, Ordered some aluminum scott poles on eBay, there pretty sick, white belt wrist straps, and a "Racing" tips that tear into ice a lot better than the standard pattern. Tried them out tonight and am super happy with them. ha ha plus there about half the price. Also, my carbon poles were super flexy, sucked when getting on the lift because first the tip's wouldn't dig into the ice, then the pole deflected and almost hits the person behind me. What do you guys use/prefer?

Ok your done with me... Well I'm not done with you lil kid How about you get your facts straight, 90% of the people on Sno's forum will side with me, I never asked you to fight me I don't know where you got that from, I just wanted to make sure you weren't someone else on park crew. (aka Xnick11) You call me a puss, I call you out on it, you step up and tell me who you are, thats how it should work and it's obvious your not stepping up, so now everyone knows who the puss is. You got anything else to say?
-
Ohh boy, see heres the thing, you call me a pussy but wont even tell me your name? woh that means a lot, dj called me a pussy and then told me who he was and I can say he has the right to call me one because he is of higher skill level than me, doesn't mean its right, I don't have beef with him. you on the other hand, sound like a 15yo punk who's just talking shit. Plus, If your someone I know I want to know. If your gonna call someone a pussy online you should be prepared to say it to there face. I have my reasons for not hitting most of those jumps at night, I've said them a hundred times. Did anyone notice that all the lights at the top of spike on the big pole are out? the DFD urban down and flat are pitch dark. Are you serious? I enjoy every part of the mountain not just sliding rails and jumping, if that's all you limit yourself to your gonna be a shitty skier and a close minded person. Just shut the fuck up little kid.

OHHHH shit do you have anything useful to say or are you going to continue to be a douche bag
-
wtf are you talking about do you have an idea?

Thanks for the positive response, i'll definatly keep up the TR's I just wanted to make sure I wasn't just talking to my self or anything lol Okay so heres the deal, I met up with my middle aged friends and took a couple runs, Lightning is iced boomber and somke are decent, we went to the parking lot had a few drinks, like I had my handle of yukon jack in the car drank more than I should have, If I were to put it on a scale of 1 being buzzed and 10 being puking I'de be a 4, still... I'm pretty 3 right now and probably shouldn't have even drived home, anyway I'll try to make some points. GA{ER NIGHT!!! fuck we went for an adventure on the right side of lightning, pretty XTREME Like I said Lightning was super icey they put fencing up for lightning and if you pass it it may look like they closed it, don't fret, its open. Skiing 4 is much more fun than Snowboarding Keep up with the 4 umm No seriously it was fucking fantastic. we pretty much lapped NF and took a run down upper whatevers and the snow quality was suprizingly a lot better there than main northface Okay this is a terrible TR and I hope you've been entertained I have to wake up at 5 so GOOD NIGHT
-
Ha thats funny, I've been talking to ski (Cole) on facebook this week about the whole situation. I didn't go up last night because this snow we got up here really messed up our roads, I don't think I told you guys I was a Volunteer Firefighter, but anyway, we had a couple accident's and it took me to 7:30 to get home the roads were treacherous... It just wasn't worth going up, I'll defiantly go up tonight, Just waxed the ski's last night, i'll report when I get home.

ha ha you should have seen what I deleted!!! it would have probably gotten me fired.

Ohh yeah BTW PASR is officially banned from work... there's 5 people out of 80 who know how to use a fucking computer you take away the only thing I do there (Ohh ya eBay too), and its not like I go on pasr while i'm working, its during lunch and break! Ohh maybe forum's slow down your 8 year old Dell's squid you gotta get up there more man! my other friends from where I live have the same problem.
-
Is it just me or is there like only 5 people on PASR that actually go to sno anymore. someone tell me if i'm wasting my time with TR's

Jump flat box, urban down box, or urban Down flat down box Large rainbow or "Coming soon" 30+ jump 50+ jump "Coming soon" looks like it'll be another jump 25ft up rail or large A frame Urban double barrel down Long mailbox to a sideways mailbox looks sick or "Coming soon"

Wow, i didn't mean to go overboard, I wanted to add this, if anyone's got a pair of big ass pow ski's they want to get rid of let me know, one pair doesn't cut it. If I start a thread on the water forum is anyone even gonna look at it? and is anyone hear experienced with kiteboarding or windsurfing? nick I know you kayak but I don't know anyone on this side of the country and if I'm gonna invest I want to go every weekend. Also, anyone hear of a new freeride park going in the scranton area? I know about mountain creek and went once (Best day of my life)

ok... so far this season I bought 2 (Traded 1 pare in on the 2nd but didn't get much) complete ski setup's, a complete board set up. Bringing it to 1 ski set up 3 boards, 3 bindings, 2 sets of boots 3 pants 3 jackets 2 goggles 3 gloves bikes? last year alone, $2400 specialized stump jumper and $1200 specialized road bike. bringing it to 2 mountain bikes 1 Freeride 1 road bike 1 Dirt jump 2 "Other" Thinking about starting DH/ freeriding again may get a demo 8 in the spring... or new rims for the whip. (Leaning on the demo 8 used on ebay) for the summer I was thinking about kiteboarding on the lake (I live on a lake) but I talked to some people and apparently you really need lesson's regardless of being able to snowboard or w/e and the trees... $1200 kites? hmm... I already wakeboard and its sick but no body has a boat with a tower and it's getting pointless, plus its hard to get people to drive you and I want to do it longer than 20min, I would like to do it alone and on my time, thats the only shitty part of wake Maybe wind surfing on the lake but I think it might get boring, also thinking of ww kayaking if I could find some good people to go with and are willing to teach me the essentials. don't worry I use my own money, I just live at home (Thank god) and don't have kids (That I know of) Id love to find people to climb with but aflack doesn't cover climbing injuries! You think you hobby problems?
-
Doesn't matter he was right anyway. I'm done with the bitching, I tried the first jump last night and it was... Nice.
-
I'll admit the online journal is kinda funny because its like i'm writing a fucking diary but still and I admit I get into it... DJ at least you gave me your name... If someone's gonna call me a pussy the least they can do is let me know who they are. hmm like maybe there job is on the line?
-
I get it, and I think dj just told me who cheech is
-
bamf, i'm not questioning the jump's existence, I was just questioning there priorities... I have pics on my phone, if i knew how to upload them into the thread I would. maybe i'll but them on myspace tomorrow.
-
When I said contradicted I mean the part where you say "THIS IS SCRANTON" yeh this is scranton and 98% of the people here don't touch those jumps, just a fact and boulder is like 15 min away so why don't any amazing park riders just go there? I'm really not trying to start this shit up again but if you are who I think you are you really shouldn't be telling me off. I'm not saying take down the jumps because I'm happy with the state of mainline, My whole point was why spend so much time on those jumps when you neglect mainline where 90% of your business goes? Mainline's great and the features I do hit on spike are great and maintained.

Ok I'm gonna have to admit I'm completely wrong about lightning, I skied with some guy named Jay tonight, he showed me how to do it, (In other words he showed me up) I just followed him and there is decent flow on it its just really tough to find if you don't know what your looking for, and you really have to be super aggressive to get it down. I'm 21 and in decent shape, this guy was older than my dad and freeken killed me! I have no problem admitting when i'm wrong... The mountain was pretty beat tonight but I expected it would be like that because of the holiday.
-
Wow fast response, only took you 6 days, UHH were pretty much done bitching about the park and would you hit it at night? I'm only up at night during the week, even dj said he wouldn't touch those jumps at night because of the lighting. when I'm up during the weekend I'm usually riding Northface with my friends. So cheech what's your name. EDIT: Plus you totally contradicted your self with your statement my quote was for, you said that the majority of the terrain park's pass holders are the same people hitting the large jumps, and thats completely false, I'm not there during the day, I don't know how many people are there during the day on a weekday but I'm guessing its not many. I don't know if you go up during week nights, but 90% of the terrain traffic is on mainline... and those are the majority of pass holders due to people who have normal jobs and school.
