Wish I saw this a month ago...

Yeah, me to, then I come on pasr and see the "storm report" or "roll call" thread and get psyched up for the pow day at Blue .

Here's last year's predictions. I don't know about anyone else, but not seeing my lawn from December 26 to the middle of March = Battle Zone for me. This year also looks like a win for everybody but Connecticut, and who the heck cares about CT? I for one, would like to storm chase into NY or VT some more this season.

I'm looking for something to do, thinking about going kayaking also.

Any hope of getting a better blackberry app? Mainly, when I take a pic on my Bb, I'd like to be able to send it to Phresheez,.

Anyone going to the beer fest this weekend?

I'd be down for an early morning frost run. Carpool?

I found EMT-B/D pretty easy actually. It's all the CEU's that you have to take to stay certified that's a pain in the ass.

Me too. $350 to get back up and running the next day.

I've got my eyes open real wide for something that's going to offer me regular travel to Denver.

I don't think he's a mod gss.

My impression is people go to Belle over Platte because they are getting free/discounted tickets at Belle.

I disagree. We saw lots of improvements this winter. New deck is pretty nice, I even saw a PASR leave some cookies behind on closing day. Really nice of him to help break in the new deck. All the lifts are painted Blue, that's gotta count for something. New trails and glades...what what? Snowmaking is somewhat better, but the grooming could still use some work. VIP line seals the deal though.

I agree. If they are going to race on a green trail, then use all of Paradise. At least then you'd get some speed going, and more people signing up for bomber runs.

The only time I was there, I was like "am I just really high, or is there a phantom lift situation happening here?" I'm sure someone on Alpinezone would have the answer.

I can't wait for this place to open. It's 20 minutes from home/work. I'll be making turns during lunch in July. Hopefully they offer some sort of monthly/seasonal pass.

Another deal I found...again I have no experience with good beginner equipment. http://www.evo.com/outlet/mashups/m3-escape-snowboard-solstice-bindings-womens-2008.aspx Hear you on the boots, maybe we'll swing out to Bucktors or Nestmans.

Uh hello everybody, I'm looking to get ms root a beginner snowboard setup, but I'm a little out of my depth here. She's taken exactly 1 lesson and loved it. The game plan is to get her some gear that she can use to progress on (and take more lessons). We're not big fans of daily rentals. She wants to spend more time on the snow with me, but since her accident a few years ago, she finds the skiing wears her out quicker. Looking for mostly "All mountain" or "freeride" boards. She's not interested in the park at all. The ideal setup would be something to last a year or two. Boards are tricky, because she also has to like the top sheet design. Here's what I dug up. Boots - I'm can to play the free shipping, free return game with REI for a while. Board - http://www.rei.com/p...ard-womens-0910 or http://www.rei.com/p...womens-20102011 Bindings - http://www.rei.com/p...omens-20102011? I'm open to suggestions if someone has better options.

If it's lift served, I might be down for this.
