  1. I've got 4"-5". I just finished clearing the walks and there was a light freezing mist coming down. Roads seem pretty good for now.
  2. That's what I'm thinking. I heard on the radio that the next storm is a slow mover.
  3. Storm totals trending upwards now
  4. I've got about an inch on the ground so far. Dumping still.
  5. Yeah, same here. I'm thinking the window between the 1st and 2nd storms is the perfect opportunity to trek over to Wegmans.
  6. Roll cal time. Who's hitting Blue tonight and/or tomorrow? I'm real tempted to make the trek tonight, but I think overall, conditions might be nicer on Thursday morning.
  7. Updated map...
  8. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGHTHURSDAY MORNING. * PRECIPITATION TYPE: SNOW...WITH ONLY A BRIEF PERIOD OF ANY SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. * ACCUMULATIONS: 6 INCHES OR MORE OF SNOW...WITH POSSIBLY A COATING OF ICE POSSIBLE EMBEDDED IN THE EVENT...DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS. * TIMING: SNOW WILL PROBABLY BEGIN BETWEEN 8 AM AND NOON...WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW EXPECTED BETWEEN 5 PM AND MIDNIGHT. * IMPACTS: THE WEDNESDAY EVENING COMMUTE SHOULD BE AFFECTED AS ACCUMULATING SNOW FALLS. THE THURSDAY MORNING COMMUTE COULD ALSO BE AFFECTED BECAUSE OF RESIDUAL CLEANUP OF WEDNESDAYS SNOWFALL.* CONFIDENCE: CONFIDENCE ON SNOWFALL AMOUNTS AT OR ABOVE 6 INCHES IN THE POCONOS AND FAR NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY IS A LITTLE LESS THAN YESTERDAY DUE TO A SOUTHEASTWARD SHIFT IN STORM EVOLUTION. CONFIDENCE FROM ALLENTOWN TO TRENTON FOR A SUBSTANTIAL WINTER EVENT IS ABOVE AVERAGE.

  10. I think I'm gonna shoot for a Thursday AM session.
  11. Check out this TR in Alpine Zone from Bolton http://forums.alpinezone.com/showthread.php?t=90099 Ride D - Bolton is a fun place. You should go check it out. Will you be challenged on every run by the terrain? No, but you'll have a great time.
  12. Nice job team PASR!
  13. Puking right now in Jersey.
  14. So what's the thinking on this one? Wednesday or Thursday? Oh yeah, NWS just issued some forecast totals
  15. I like the idea in concept, but in reality it doesn't work for me either.
  16. Join a ski club that takes lots of bus trips?
  17. Date(s) Skied: Jan 18, 2011 Resort or Ski Area: Stowe Conditions: Variable, in a good way Trip Report: Started the day off on Spruce Peak. Trails with snowmaking have great coverage, natural trails are just a little scratchy in spots, but enjoyable enough. After lunch, I decided to head over to the gondi to duck out of the wind for a bit. Mostly great conditions, with a few really chopped up spots. Snowing heavily all afternoon. I was going to call it a day but with every lift ride back up, conditions were getting better and better. Skied until 3pm and had a great time today. I also have some GoPro video that I'll edit up once I get home.
  18. It's slowing down now. Was coming down at about 1"-2" an hour. Winds are around 30 mph so it's blowing everywhere. Had a little sleet mixed in for about 45 minutes, but other then that, it's been blower.
  19. The trails with snowmaking are great, but the natural trails are very scratchy. So are the woods. Its snowing a light snow here now, maybe 2" so far. Not helping the base building effort any. Forecast says it might mix up with sleet later, but it's also super cold on the mountain (about 15F) so who knows. Chicken blt for lunch in case anyone was wondering.
  20. I don't see any reason why I can't make this, so I'm in.
  21. Dude, when you gonna be back at Blue?
  22. I just saw this on Facebook. If you dress up like Captain Morgan tomorrow, you can ski for free. http://www.skicamelback.com/SkiCamelback/Camelback-Mountain/Activities-and-Information/Calendar-of-Events/Dress-Like-the-Captain.aspx
  23. Upper Main Street was pretty good last night. Lower was mostly sugar but very skiable.
  24. Conditions were real good last night, I'm really glad I went. I was expecting the worst when I pulled into the lower lot and saw all the buses. While I was booting up, two ambulances pulled in...uh oh. Turns out the trails were pretty empty. Nightmare/Dreamweaver was the run of the day for me. Guy on the lift told me that once you got past the 1st headwall on Razors it was pretty nice, but I didn't try it. Legs were still pretty shot, so my last few runs were easy turning down Paradise...and no speed patrol which is always nice.
  25. what's the over/under I ski more days this season
