  1. Might want to sharpen the edges up as well. Temps will be dipping into the teens on Friday night. http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Camelback-Ski-Area/6day/top
  2. Yeah, not to rub it in or anything, but you missed two spectacular days at Blue.

  7. That goes double for you.
  8. This thread is about Shawnee's HSQ. Focus.
  9. Do it! Why wouldn't you?
  10. I still can't figure out why the fuck you would want to keep your shit at Blue after they are closed anyway?
  11. sign of the upcoming offseason
  12. Oh yeah...the word of the day was Dilapidated. As in, "The snow was getting pretty bad yesterday afternoon, but after the rain today it would have been seriously dilapidated".
  13. Oh hey...If there are any PASR's who don't have a season pass, but want to go, friend up Hunter on Facebook for half-price lift tickets on Sunday. http://www.facebook....id=411851841814
  14. Same here. Seems like we need to also figure out a place and time on the mountain to meet up.
  15. I plan on day-tripping it.
  16. Ok, I worked on this video until almost 2am! I think it turned out pretty awesome for my first time editing. I may just have to up my game for next season. I got lots of footage of folks hitting the jump at pond skimming and otherwise wrecking themselves trying to skim it. For every person who didn't make it, at least two did. But who wants to see a video of everyone making it?
  17. Probablya good call on CB's part, save us some snow for the weekend.
  18. Could someone correct the dates on the title and 1st post for me? Thx
  19. Date(s) Skied: 3/21/2010 Resort or Ski Area: Blue Mountain Conditions: Sunny springtime conditions Trip Report: Another day of fun in the sun at for the last day of the season atBlue Mountain. Besides myself, Toast, AtomicSkier, Kevin, Justo, TMaki and Tarponhead to name a few were up for some sweet springtime runs. Good crowd today. Life was good today, good skiing, cold beer, lots of fun. Base was really taking a beating, so it was probably for the best that Blue closed. I stayed until almost 4pm. As I was walking out to my car, Jeff was just getting un-booted. Wow, what a great season. Best I've ever had. Thanks to the Sat/Sun mornings crew for keeping it fun, and thanks to Blue for keeping it real. Good Morning Blue Toast AtomicSkier Toast getting mad technical... Bumps on Challenge Go get it!!! Razor's KT and TMaki Justo Lazy Mile Pimp style Nightmare Yikes! Pond skimming crowd Yeah, I'm sure that meets code Last lift ride Again, I can't share just how awesome this season was at Blue. If you were there, you know what I'm talking about. I can't wait until next season.
  20. Pics have finished uploading, but I'm trying to edit some video together.
  21. Toast, Justo and anyone else thinking about staying the night, here's my take on accommodations in the Hunter Area. I really hope that we can have a good turnout at Hunter day. So nicest "name brand" hotel is the the Holday Inn in Kingston, NY. http://www.holidayin...com/index.html. Mrs Root always liked staying here and it's about a 45 minute drive into Hunter. Bar/Resturant on site Pool/Hot Tub/Sauna/game room Pizza place in walking distance Breakfast on site is pretty reasonable. Next up would be the Best Western in Coxsackie, NY. Mrs Root won't go into the pool here. It's too cloudy for her tastes. Also, don't go eat at Paul's Pizza and Pasta. I got food poisoning there once and shit my brains out for 3 days straight. Indoor pool/hot tub Attached diner Have to drive to the bar Cheaper and much closer The German Hotel/Resturant/Bar I'm going to stop at after skiing is the Bavarian Manor. http://www.bavarianmanor.com/ It's about 10 miles from Hunter and they open for lunch at 1 on Sunday's. This place is hard core German. The combo wurst platter (bauernwurst, weisswurst, bratwurst) is pretty amazing and so is the rest of the food there. The rooms here are a little pricier, but you're way closer to the mountain, and there's going to be a "Cabin Fever Dance" there on Saturday night. This most likely will bring in a decent crowd of locals, enough said. The breakfast here is amazing, but doesn't start until 8am. Everyone here is super nice, great food...I can't say enough good things about this place. Here's what was on the beer menu when we stayed there in February. Franziskaner is really wheaty and delicious. Probably their best seller. Warsteiner is full of flavor and easy to drink Spaten Dunkel was the darkest of the three Dinkel Acker was just ok for me. I'd rather have the Franziskaner or the Warsteiner. They also have bottled beers, both German (Paulaner, Heinkein) and some domestic piss water. I don't know the area that well, but I'm getting to know it better every time I head into the Catskills. If you have any questions, hopefully I can answer it for you.
  22. The Blue Crew will be there on Saturday.
  23. Hell no. It was 73F out. I changed into shorts and sandals.
  24. I renewed my season pass today. Why would you want to leave anything sitting in a locker past April anyway?
