Blue was awesome today. Great snow conditions, sunny skies and no crowds. Skied from 9-1. Rotd was Paradise right after the groomers passed through. VIP line down to one lane. Snowmaking everywhere.

I'll at Blue around opening tomorrow. Orange and brown.

Leave earlier. On snow days, I typically will give myself over 2 hours travel time. Worst case is I get there early and warm up with a few beers. EPAWA is calling for a 1am start time. That would be ideal. It put more snow on the mountain before opening and delay the crowds.

I didn't ban tp4, talk to the site admin. Maybe they are different people and just share the same computer. Did you meet both of them?

Beats me. All open is a different, but they are not all open this weekend. Nonetheless, the walk from Blue's lot to the 6er is the shortest walk/up hill capacity.

Negative. The Sullivan Quad and Sunbowl double is way less capacity than Blue's 6-pack, 2 Main St double's and the Vista lift. There's nothing open to spread any crowds out to. Camelback's parking lot is downhill from the lifts, which means climbing several flights of stairs, up through the lodge area to the Quad. Blue is a shorter and easier walk on level terrain.

Camelback -800 ft vert -less lift capacity -no parking lot to lift access -probably better snow I can't wait for my first six pack beer this weekend.

I learned how to ski at Shawnee. I recommend them anytime anyone asks me where to go to learn. Oh and for sure, go with a half day lesson morning lesson. This means getting up and out early. After the lesson your kid can show off the cool stuff he can do now and then you can still give 'em pointers if you want.

I mounted the Bacons at REI for $25. They told me two weeks but then they were ready in 3 days. I also had a core shot repair/ full tune done on the Jet Fuels and XC skis mounted all in 3 days. I'll use REI again and still share beer with Justo.

Blue also has sweet lift-to-parking lot access once the valley is open for quick rehydration.

Ski it at least once and form your own opinion. The one time I was there, I had a great day of skiing.
