    2-28

Got there about 3:30. Pretty mushy until 6ish when things started to firm up. Did some runs with BMTroubs. Stayed until 9.
  6. I was in Southern VT this weekend. Stratton had around 4"-7" of fast new snow on Saturday. Wind was blowing it everywhere. No direct B2T lift. American Express to Ursa. That actually worked in my favor, because a lot of people were just skiing off the lower lift due to the insane winds. Conditions remained good until around 2:30-3ish when things were becoming really windblown. Very cold Saturday night. Bluebird day with moderate winds on Sunday at Mount Snow. Karma paid me back, as on my very first ride in the bubble some dudes from CT wanted to discuss safety. Thanks to some wind holds, it was a long discussion. Interesting enough, one of the dudes was also on 184 '09 Mantras. Skied 1 run with them, but they wanted to go over to Carenthia and I wanted to burn groomers. I love Mount Snow. Not so much to ski runs that challenge me or make me a better skier. I love it because I can ski amazing wide, long stretches of trail, without having to do any safety speed checks because of people. It's really nice just to let 'em run long all day.

  8. Ok, so here's the report. Met up with Toast and Justo, because PASR loves a good carpool. The ride up was mostly uneventful. My gps however thought the ski area is where the mall is, and there's not a lot of signs pointing us in the right direction. Once we got there, we fell in love with the parking lot. It's like the moon. The lodge is mid mountain...different. We clicked in and let gravity do the work. Nice soft cord. Even some natural on the ground to whiten the place up. After a few runs, we got thirsty. This into Rattler was the run of the day. Toast Justo Me Rattler - very fun trail. Me again. I don't even want to speculate what the guy in the passenger seat of the minivan is thinking. Choclate Classics on the air again. The parking lot setup isn't bad if you're a passholder. Easy access on/off the snow. Sno has a fun flow to it. Nothing very challenging, and it's a different how the steepest sections are on the lower part of the mountain. I think we would have gotten more runs in if the long haul was running. I would like to make this an annual PASR stop. After Sno, I decided to hit Blue up on the way home. Long day but worth it. Gotta find ways to keep it interesting this season, and a trip to Sno fit the bill nicely.
  9. I'm heading to VT. Got some vouchers to burn that expire at the end of the month.
  10. Call 'em & buy over the phone. You'll still have to sign off on the waiver, but it will increase your odds of getting on the snow by 8.
  11. Sorry for the TR and pic delays. Had some work shit thrown at me yesterday that I gotta do before tomorrow.
  12. What a great day! Need to collect my thoughts and review the pics. More people should go to Sno.
  13. Congrats everyone!
  14. Breakfast sandwiches at the Killington Mart. Valley View Saloon for food/beer at Mount Snow.
  15. Sure think KC. Any chance you'll come out to make some turns with us? Oh yeah, there's a carpool involved.
  16. Nope, but if I see it at Wegmans, there's a good chance of sampling some on the weekend. Give a beer, take a beer.
  17. My co-worker lives pretty close to the brewery and he highly recommended I give Victory a try.
  18. Me too!
  19. Toast and I are headed there tomorrow. Rumor has it Justo might be coming as well.
  20. Hokendaqua has the stop sign at Valley View, and once you get past the 946/987 intersection, you can really put the hammer down on 946. On weekdays, avoiding the school zone on 946 would have me taking Hokendaqua.
  21. Grouse still seems quicker to me, by 2-4 minutes.
  22. I like a good beer buzz, early in the morning... That way I can enjoy it for the whole day. What's the point of waiting until it's almost time to go to bed?
  23. are your drink already? I hops so.

No worries, I figured as much.
