Chilly here in the lowlands again, but no frost. Which is fine, because I've been blowing off some yardwork and winterizing which I have to knock out this week.

I busted out the pre-first frost sweat pants and fleece jacket this weekend. Still pimping in the cargo shorts until I'm motivated to do the wardrobe rotation. Yeah, it's feeling like a stellar snow season on its way.

Nothing so far, I've been looking for a pair of Coombas under the fixed sale price of 649.99. I'm not in a big rush. Otherwise, I'm in good shape gear/equipment wise. Something usually needs to get replaced during the season.

I used the ol green card up until about 8 years ago, then went to gold. The "perks" of platinum or higher aren't worth it for me considering how little I fly these days and I don't put that kinda coin on the card. Are other airlines still accepting AMEX points for flights? I haven't checked yet, when I sent my wife and mom-inlaw to FLA the last time, US Air informed me they won't take AMEX points anymore. So I've been charging more on my US Air visa, but still have a shitload of Amex points.

Sweet. I remember seeing the movie when it first came out and went to see it a second time. It bombed in the box office but has really taken on a life of its own. Great flick and in my top 5 of all time.

For some folks money isn't an issue. For others, the company pays for it. and then there's folks like me that can use frequent flyer miles to sit in the front of the bus. Now that US air doesn't accept AMEX reward points, those days are over, unless some other airline accepts them

Too far to go for me unless I can go away for a month which ain't happenin this summer. If I went to NZ or South America, I'd want to travel around, too. Go to NZ and Australia and visit there and check out Brazil if I went to Latin America. I can't get too excited about Xanadu and taking 30 second runs down a green. I think park riders will be the key market for that. Prolly have some set ups for the tricksters.........

How much time is spent hiking up the mountain compared to skiing/boarding down? Do you guys overnite it outside or in cabins? How far up do you hike? How long does that take?
